- Travel along the Puffing Billy Railway from Lakeside to Menzies Creek in the Dandenong ranges in the East of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on the 2ft 6inch gauge railway which was once the lifeline connecting this area to the rest of the state. Now a magical ride for tourists, it runs through the beautiful scenery that the ranges have to offer. Well worth the trip and easy to get to with the connecting Melbourne suburban railway at Belgrave.

@@Mediawatcher2023 thank you. Very happy you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
They may not be long or exciting, but all these little "off-the-beaten-track" Rail trips are scenic and showing me parts of my own Country, I'd never get to see otherwise. Thank you, from Perth.
@@downunderrob you're welcome. Very happy to be able to bring them to you. 👍😀

Loving this series. The slog up from the standing start at Lakeside is always a treat. Must be challenging in the wet. Which loco was this? Fine conditions on the day but handled the mostly 1 in 40 with aplomb.
@@johnsexton8759 the locomotive is 14A. Very happy to hear you are enjoying them 👍😀
One day we will achieve a similar ride between Wyena through Denison Gorge to Lebrina, Tasmania.
@@rsinclair6560 I look forward to the day the North East line in Tasmania sees trains again. I wish the group all the best. Looking forward to it. 👍😀
Nobelius sounds like a high born Roman. I wonder if he's a friend of Bigus Dickus?🤔😅
