Thank you wildman! I harvested a big ole 8pointer from the homemade deer attractant you showed us with the koolaid sugar salt etc!! Thanks again, you sir are super!!!
Tire set does work very in pastures. If you're doing predator control on a horse, cow or sheep pasture, the tire will visually attract coyotes, and you're less likely to have livestock step on your set. We've used this set quite a bit on sheep farms, mini horse farm and pastures where 4H kids exercise there horses. Use it!
Nb while aren't I catching in my tires sets. Only in two years i had one trap that was set off. Got some deer bones inside with a trap in the center. And also one on the outside. You have idea. I really t don't see alot of sign but some.
Absolutely, I've been so far back in the woods and come across tires and wonders how they got there and how long they've been there. In the south it's not terribly uncommon to come across some long forgotten abandoned dirt road bed that has been grown up for decades. It's a good place to explore and look for old bottles too
Is that hay because it sure looks like straw. I never did this set because I tried to get out 200 traps the first day. Now I'm just doing it for fun so I might try it. Farmers have a cow when I put stuff out in the fields before they plow so I could never set enough tires out ahead of time. I'll see what I can do. Thanks
Not trying to be inconsiderate, but how can you use duke 550 pro(offset?) traps in NB when they are not on the approved AIHTS list? Could be that I am not understanding the regs properly since phase 2 is not yet mandatory?

not sure, i don't use any open bait in mine, only scent inside the tire rim
That might be it, I'm getting that bone out of there. And luring it up. Thanks NB
Interesting…… new to me…. Worth a try
Have fun!
In many rural areas old, discarded tires are very common and should not cause any suspicion to the target animals.

use this last year to catch a bobcat that was raiding a turkey farm, set it up like a nest with a electronic chick squeeker inside the tire

Cool idea and may keep deer off as well.
