I just did this a few hours ago. This guide was a huge help. I ran a long silicone hose from the top between the brake reservoir and the air cleaner box down into the filler hole. I used a large 150 ML syringe to slowly pump the fluid in. That kind of syringe is used for one man brake bleeders. It made the jobs much easier.

There is also a bolt on the front of the DCT transmission where you can refill it from. You don’t have to do it from the rear because it only takes 2 quarts actually 2.1 quarts. If you don’t have a lift just jack it up then drain it from the plug then when drained tighten it up. Open up the front plug place a 5/8” or 3/4 inch tube clear or rubber but it has to be at least 30” long and make sure you let down the car to it’s front tires on a level surface. Bring the tube up towards you and place a funnel in the tube and fill the tranny up with two quarts of Hyundai DCT fluid or equivalent. Replace the bolt and tighten it then you’re done. Just remember only two quarts. The DCT is essentially a computerized manual transmission. No hydraulic operation. Just motors and sensors plus a TCU module. Also most exotic vehicles have them. If you have a Hyundai DCT product or VW DSG trans. You’re in with Lamborghini and Ferrari territory in the transmission sense. VW DSG has got it down pat! The boys in Korea need to catch up with the tune and programming with its DCTs but they will get there. Hopefully sooner than later?

@@robertkubrick3738 your particular car has a fully automatic transmission. It uses transmission hydraulic fluid. Dual Clutch transmissions on the other hand uses a gear oil which is normally a w70/75 viscosity weight and requires only two quarts. Unlike an automatic transaxle which takes around 8-10 quarts of transmission fluid if the trans and torque converter is completely empty?

My next question is how do you change the control oil I'm baffled on that one. My owner manual shows it takes 2 different types of oil 1 for gear and 1 for control oil.

At Hyundai dealership they looked up the VIN on my 2017 Hyundai Tuscaon 1.6 L Turbo with DCT and gave me 70W Manual Transmission fluid. Part 00232-19063. My manual specifically says API GL-4, SAE70W, which is what this stuff is. Wondering why you got a different type?

Don`t worry, the part number is the same.
USA- HYUNDAI/KIA ( арт. 00232-19063) Genuine Hyundai Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid MTF 70w 1 Quart
      SHELL : SPIRAX S6 GHME 70W
      SK : HK MTF 70W
GS CALTEX : GS MTF HD 70W
Hyundai/Kia 00232-19063)
