Nice video! New watcher here :) I used to use escrow for my mortgage and decided to handle it myself. My thoughts- they would give me an escrow "refund" one year then the following year send a letter saying my escrow was short and my mortgage payment was going up. I just save a specific amount each month for property taxes and home insurance. I keep it in a HYSA and not giving it to my mortgage company interest free.
