If it blinks twice, check the t-con or better replace it. I tried on mine(lg 43lj594v) and it worked. The old board had an IC that was running very hot.
The Leds on work in a series connected circuit. They are like Christmas lights. If one bulb blows the whole piece turns off. That's why 90 % of the time it is a few of LEDS that burned out that causes the problems.
I have 3 blinks, slow blinking in red. I replaced the PSU and still the blinking happens. Many told me to replace logic board, others tell me to replace t-con board. I think I could afford the guess work just for the sake of knowing what the hell it was.
On the tv screen itself, there are different layers that form up the board, the first one been the black sheet that is basically your screen, the next one is a clear sheet followed by two other flexible sheets. When you remove all these screens there is another white paper sheet and that is stacked with a series of LEDs with rounded class like reflectors. If these LEDs are not working that is when you will have such a problem. The LEDs are in the form of strips joined together 2 per line. What I did was that I had another LG tv with shattered screen, I replaced the shattered screen with that one of the faulty tv with blinking LED and the tv worked so fine. The only problem that I had was that the screens were slightly different in terms of the LED connection, otherwise I would have tried replacing those from the faulty tv. Hope that helps :)
just to clirify, its not that, the set is dead, no sound or anything, the tv would obv work in other ways if was backlight, i have repaired one with the same fault so i can break the tension and tell you its the caps on the PSU, also sometimes the sets will come on for a couple of mins then cut out too as the caps cant keep up with the power demand, case closed bhoys :) ps its very common on these so the fact he swapped the entire psu means nothing as more than likely has same fault lol
your didnt have exactly the same fault then, its the caps on the power supply that is the actual fault on his, its so common that him swapping the psu only means he bought one with same fault lol
The most important board to check is the t-connection board. A little knowledge of using a multimeter has its advantages. As you can see, guess work is costly.
