I tried version one after having run in SL2 for a while. I was pleasantly surprised. I did not think Supernova Rise was a slow shoe like other high stack heavier shoes like the Nimbus. It was just more comfortable than the SL2 with more cushion. Maybe they could be used together for easy recovery runs and more uptempo stuff. I hope version two did not sacrifice comfort for a little bit of speed.

Good analysis. the first one was inoffensive. still have in my rotation over 200 miles. got a good deal on it. problem is, after i got the sl2, i just didn't care for it anymore. i only ran/run in it for short distances when i have to go easy day. now that i have the evo sl, i dont want to run in anything else at all.

Do they still bottom out extremely fast? i bought a pair of the 1s and couldnt run more than 3km before bottoming out. i weight 70kg and never had this happen with any other shoe lmao

So the version 2 is closer to a Puma Velocity Nitro 3 then the original Rise was ?!
    That is good news !

… and you can still pick up v1 for ~$50 at Adidas’ eBay store ( as of December 27, 2024)

When you say snappy, do you mean bouncy?

Snappy I think is more direct and quick. Softer foams are usually associated with bouncy

Even a relatively hard foam like Flytefoam in Asics hyperspeed or Asics Noosa Tri 15 can feel snappy but not bouncy.
In comparison, Asics Novablast with FF BLAST + can feel a bit bouncier but less snappy.
However FFTurbo+ in Asics Superblast is even more bouncier and even more snappy at the same time than the above mentioned shoes.
Racing flats seem snappy... Shoes with plates also seem snappy.... So, i would say snappyness comes from a certain kind of rigidity rather than bounce or softness in the foam.

I just want a stripped down supernova upper on an Adizero midsole. Supernova v1 had one of the least inspiring midsoles I've experienced in recent years.

hard take for that title. these shoes have 33mm in the heel and 23mm in the forefoot. def not max cushion
