When you mention picking the race that looks the coolest over mid maxing you gave argonian as an example?? I have a tank for every race (yes every race(some just for pvp)) and every single one of them is an Argonian. Not only because they look the coolest but because they are damn fine tanks.
oh I didn't mean anything against argonians my friend, i just used them as an example. Their passives are absolutely clean when it comes to tanking. I just know a lot of groups really want those nords, so i picked the first thing that came to mind that wasnt a nord lol
