Les , my suggestion , try taking the machine out of difficult ground setting .You will get a way better response from the 6k .cheers.

I did try normal for a while yesterday but the wet ground and general mineralisation in the soil made detecting very difficult. You are right about lifting the signals though. I could do that just for target recovery however. Good thinking Tony. Thanks for that.

@@tonybaker7242 If only they had a smaller one for the scrubby country. Really struggling to get a coil on the ground in my neck of the woods. A small elliptical DD would be fantastic.

The 6000 is so light, do you find the swing arm helps? I'm also wondering if you have any knowledge of the performance of the 17" Minelab coil on this machine? Do you know if it capable of detecting gold deeper than the 11" coil? Thanks for making these videos.

Hi Ken. The swing arm is great. I wouldn’t be without it. Gives me better control and changes the way the body rotates during the swing of the coil. Instead of swing rotation coming from the shoulder, rotation comes from the hips. This helps reduce wear and tear on the body and keeps you “fresh” for longer periods. I don’t have the 17” coil but a mate is impressed with its depth capabilities.

That's good machine but the problem is that machine is not compact.

It is not as compact as the SDC 2300 but it is very light
