  • A mate and I decided to compare signal responses on live targets when we were out detecting in an old gold mine area. I had the standard Minelab 11” mono connected to the gpx 6000 and my mate was using the Coiltek Goldhawk 10x5. I hope that enjoy the results of our comparison.

Thank you guys for the great video, I was just blown away at how small the gold was detected with the Goldhawk especially with some depth too, impressive!

The best comparison I've watched so far, nearly all the other videos are a waste of time..

That last one sounded like it was going to go a half gram! The tiny bit before it was absolutely crazy picking it up at that depth.

I just bought the 14x9, so far it seems nice and found 5 bits for 0.63g on the first outing. Gum leaves and palm trees is an interesting combo!

Kind of stands to reason that the smaller coil will be more sensitive on the smaller gold. Just the pure physics of it. Also with that first bit of gold you never involved the 11" ML coil again after the first try on that signal. Might have been nice for you to try it as you scraped away & got closer to the target but you just kept on at it with the coiltek. Would have been nice to see the signal the 11" got if you had of waved the bit of gold over it too once it was out.

Great comparison just got one after watching this can't wait to try it out most of my detecting is with the coil under water so will be interesting to see how it preforms in that situation keep up the good work 👍

Great video les, i have the 10 x 5 on my 6k, great package. I would be very interested to see how the 6 and goldhawk compared to the 5k with the sade coil, another popular setup.

I added the 10x5 just two weeks back. The 6000 amazes me with the standard coil but this little coil took it to the next level. My smallest pieces were .03 . The detector screamed on the lil toddlers like they were big nuggets. It made it very easy to pin point and to get under shrubs .
