  • On May 7, 2024, Steve Albini passed away. In this video, I pay him tribute by discussing my favorite things he did and a few live memories:

    Shellac was one of my go-tos when I would wander around Bardstown road as a teen

    I would add Bastro to the list of another great Louisville bands from that era. He produced/engineered at least one of their records.

      Their stuff is hard to find…that band needs to post their stuff to Bandcamp or something.

      their records were on the long gone Homestead. I think the same could be said for Squirrel Bait too.

      The 2 Squirrel Bait releases are available to stream. They are part of the Drag City catalog as of 1997.

      Loved Bastro. I was on a huge Slint Bastro and Rodan binge thru out my last couple years in college.
