The fact that he works with no electric tools really just makes his channel stand out. I would like to see him make more stuff like maybe a cigar box with a really good seal
I was glad to hear you say “hear in Norway.”I am half Norwegian. My mother was born in Molde. Really nice handle. I have a 60 year old Brusletto two knife set that I cherish. Thanks 🔪🎸🇳🇴
Like the way you did this video, and the whole concept of participating in the design is really a great idea! About the end-product, it’s amazing 🤩 The product of a real artisan!
It is truely amazing, that you are doing that all work only with hand tools, there are not many crafters, who makes knives with bare hands. In one word, amazing!
Img I love the fact that you used hand tools to build this absolutely amazing it makes the knife even more special. Amazing! amazing! Work as always !!!! 😃
Очень красивый нож, мне понравился. Спасибо за твою работу и отличные видео. Больше всего люблю твои видео по складным ножам. Желаю вам успехов, а каналу развития!
Everything about this video is amazing. The production, the video shots, the dialogue, and of course the knife itself! I am going to be incredibly jealous of whoever wins this! lol
FFD Excellent craftsmanship and results. Your voice in this video is pleasing to the ear and your instructions are appropriate, please continue. As an amateur restorer the instructions help and are less distracting than trying to read and watch at the same time. Thank you for your efforts and posting these videos. May all your journeys be adventures and your havens safe.
A very beautiful knife. The narration was informative and really added to the video. Thank you for taking a risk with this format and for being so successful in the final result!
Great work and beautiful knife! Your traditional outfit really looks great and it’s nice to hear your voice. Describing your process simply and without chatter works so please keep it up. Watching your channel and many restorations got me through the pandemic so thank you. I’m a supporter for life 😊.
i love hearing your accent and you explaining everything more. i think you did an amazing job boris! this was a really cool idea and way different than anything i have seen on youtube!! beautiful job
Hi Boris, I love the video and the knife turned out really well. You put a lot of work into that. The blade is great but the handle just awesome. 😉👌 Keep it coming. I love the detail and the precision. 👌
Sorry to hear that! From the experience so far on RUclips, it seems from time to time they have issues with notification delivery. Thanks, I appreciate that 👍
Thank you so much for your kind words! I truly appreciate your encouragement. I'm glad you enjoy the work and the conversation. Your support means a lot to me. Is there anything specific you'd like to see in future content? I'm always open to suggestions 👍
for the first knife its a very good result, glad the drilling after you had shaped the handle worked out ( I would suggest always keep it square before drilling, and if possible, drill with a drillpress). A few tips to you (as a hobbyist knifemaker myself) for future projects is sand the metal always with a hard backing for your sandpaper, piece of sturdy and flat metal, keeps the lines much more crisp. First totally finish the front end of the handle after drilling, but before glue up. When glueing keep the metal free at the handle, remove the squeeze out glue with some acetone to make it look much nicer without any glue residue. For the sheath, its not really needed but wet molding it to the knife (wrap the knife in climfoil against rusting!) makes it a longer lasting and better fitting sheath. A waterproof finish before glueing up the sheath makes it better for use in the outside. none the less its a good knife and the next owner will be happy with it I think. :)
Thank you so much for the advice and tips. I appreciate that. There is many things I am keen to learn and improve. Sharing tips like this helps a lot. Thank you!

Yyyup... mate didn't expect less from you, great job... very deary to first shape the wood peace and then poke the hole for the blade, with big risk to finally be a bit in angle but I bet it is straight for being that it used hand slow dinamic working tools for the whole process. And finally the leather sheath all simple no fancy but very usefull and functional just like knife users likes it. Congratulations great job.
Yyyup... not at all mate. 🤔 Maybe next time you can ad materials like bone or horn instead of brass, and change the style for a Puukko or a Yakut or two peaces with a pin like Chinese sort... and restructure for a symmetrical kind , and also instead of a long knife maybe a carving small knife or a full tang. 😐 Just not to run out of video topics... 😉... Cheers...
Thanks David. I was fortunate to find this combination. It took me a while and it was piece by piece. I am still in search of more. You should look for clothing from the 1900's to 1950's online, ads, garage sales and second hand clothing stores. Finding an appropriate outfit can take many trips and months...
