In retrospect with having seen the finale, it's kinda funny the idea of Aaron and Bryan reading that script together just because Aaron's got all of about 3 lines in the last episode lol... Which speaks to why I wasn't against the idea at all of this movie happening. I mean if it never had I wouldn't have complained, but when it was announced I didn't have that "oh don't mess with perfection" reaction that some fans had. just cause Jesse didn't really have a ton of stuff to do in that second half of season 5, or at least the last few episodes of that stretch. His ending was a lot more kind of simpler and streamlined than Walter's, he gets stuck with Todd's gang but then spends so much time with them, until Walt shows up at the very end that's basically it for his story. So with Walt being dead (at least he sure as dam well better be, I won't mind a flashback or dream sequence in the movie, but don't tell me he's alive), I'm cool with Jesse's character getting a sort of more meaty, substantial ending like this, especially considering so much of the series was like equally about the both of them.

@@sylent8428 By "turning into" I don't discount the idea that Heisenberg was always inside and a part of Walter White just waiting for the trigger to emerge. However, had Walter not sold his part of Gray Matter to Elliott and instead gained the wealth and prestige of being one of the founders of a multi-billion dollar business, he never would have had to go down the path towards letting Heisenberg out - at least not in the world of meth deals, cartels and Nazi's. In the Fortune 500 world, Heisenberg is just another executive in a fancy suit. And he would have had the resources to deal with his cancer so no need for the whole cooking meth thing.
But I think it's also possible that after feeling like he'd been taken advantage of by his former colleagues (rightly or wrongly) and dealing with the realities of a cancer diagnosis on a public school teachers salary, he finally found the success he felt he'd been denied by making an amazing if illegal product, and Heisenberg is the persona he has to develop in order to survive and even thrive in, again, a world of meth deals, cartels and Nazi's. Whither it was already there or not, it was the transformation that I tuned in for.
