Nice to see you back Ian!
This has been very helpful, I have 4 small balfouri and I had also heard that the male and female differ slightly in appearance and I thought as they get bigger I might be able to tell but this definitely cleared that up for me and im still excited to see them grow.
    Always learning! thank you!

If seen that males normally don’t show as much color as a female does that’s a pretty good indicator to sex

Can a female reproduce in a communal setting or you have to separate?

Hi I am from Mexico. I would like to know in what parameters do you keep an ovisco? (M.balfouri).

It all depends on how many you have and what size they are. I had 3 adult females in a 30 x 30 x 30cm exo terra

Males can mature from 18 months to 3 years. Females can mature from about 2 years. But there are variables depending on how they are kept. Keep them on the warmer side and feed them a bit more often and they will grow a bit faster compared to if they are kept a bit cooler. But you possibly risk shortening their lifespan by doing this.
