The Total Wine & More near me (Long Beach, CA) almost always has a Picpoul in stock. It's one of my favorites to drink during the warmer months. Great with seafood.

I love Picpoul de Pinet. It's my house white. Don't see how it compares to Pinot Grigio, would have thought Muscadet. I've grown fond of Florensac's version

Thanks for watching! Here in the United States everyone drinks light, acidic Pinot Grigio from northern Italy so it was the most familiar comparison I could think of. Cheers!

Curious, does the American grown version of this wine have a similar taste?

    • @wine-living

Yes, but it tends to be more full-bodied and sometimes oak-aged, which is not typical of the French version. Americans have a different sensibility with wine, we tend to prefer bigger and bolder styles, so the Domestic versions are more tailored to our market.
