The lady was probably having an affair and was on the ship with a man other than her husband and was afraid she would get caught. Just a theory but whatever her reasoning is it was extremely childish to cause you such a problem. People are ignorant.
SalPitera Studios not sure why she focused on you because like you said everyone has a camera on their cell phone and everyone on vacation likes to document their experience. Some people just seem to think they rule the world.
armyguru1214 To be fair, I did bring some professional video gear on board the ship. Much larger than a handheld camera. So, after she complained and security so all my gear in my cabin… I do understand why security question me.
I was thinking the same thing and if not that possibly she used sick time instead of vacation time at work and is afraid of it getting out that she was on a cruise. More than likely an affair.
You should kick this up to an upper level executive at their corporate headquarters, asking if passengers are now banned from filming onboard their cruises. Also, ask if they no longer want cruise reviews & footage (free advertising) on RUclips and spread the word to fellow cruise reviewers on RUclips.
@@RUclipsDestinations i fully agree with this guys statement on this shit, but im the kind of asshole who would then call security any time somebody had a cell phone out that may be recording, since, they arent allowing such evil on their ships... make them really work, since it sounds like they really need a wake up call... what are they gonna make you and people like Josh Hokum stop vlogging their cruises... bad idea, because, some other line could just slip in there and encourage such, and get massive amount of not just free press, but press people paid them in order to create.. i mean... they are profiting from you taking a trip and profiting from you making videos about it. i now want to find this crazy gal, and use my fb accounts to claim im taking the same trips as she is, and will be recording, and get others to do the same.... join her cruise groups and tell her there will be recording... see how she reacts.... sure sounds like she is a cheater to me.
Sal, I am so glad you posted this! On my first carnival cruise over ten years ago I was getting over an illness. They put me in a cabin that was literally sopping wet, with a fan blowing cold air to dry it out. It was freezing and had a strange smell. I found out weeks later they had a toliet overflow on that level, but even the bed was wet and stunk. They would not move me. It took hours of complaining, even crying, and they began to offer things, like food, drinks, excursions. I just wanted a new, dry room. They told me if I wasn't happy I could get off of the cruise in Puerto Rico when they docked at night. Yes, at night! It was super scary too because they had security called even though I never once raised my voice, but just refused to take the cabin. I finally was moved, but this took hours and a lot of energy. I will never go back on Carnival again. Some of the staff were super mean and just didn't care.
Really , that’s got to be the most saddest and silliest thing I have heard of. I would say about 3/4 of the ship are filling/ taking pitchers of there memories of the trip Thanks 🙏 for sharing this Sal
This is what I think what really happened! It sounded like the LADY called Carnival and exaggerated your vlogging into some type of secret "peeping tom" project! Hidden cameras??? Her privacy on the line??? Yeaaah.... It sounds like a whole misunderstanding. Carnival and her should apologize. And you should get your deep discount on your next cruise. What a shame of them!! Keep your head up. God bless. ❤
Doesn’t seem right. I guess they are invoking being a private company but I think they would have to ban all cameras. Like you said everyone has a camera. Crazy man. - Tony
Their loss you didn't get to do some videos or pictures. I've just begun to start cruising again and I walked all over the ship Miracle and no one stopped me even when the doors where closed. Keep up what you're doing, we greatly appreciate it and I hope that nutty lady is aware the ship has tons of cameras around as well as other people do.
It’s not really a big deal… I was pretty offended at the time. But is the only time in many many cruise with carnival that anything like that has ever happened. And it is not happened since.
My wife and I spent 8 days on the Horizon in 2017. 90% of my voyage was captured on my son’s GoPro camera. I suppose, based your experience, we could have been kicked off the ship for making videos?!?! Maybe the difference between Sals experience and ours was the FaceBook connection?!?! We have been invited to join the FaceBook page for our upcoming cruise aboard the brand new Panorama and since I have always felt that FaceBook was very bad for society in general, I have opted to never have a FaceBook page. Sals experience proves my case. Good video Sal! We have learned a lot from your work and Carnival should be ashamed of themselves. Keep up the good work!
Wow, we always go with Carnival also. I cannot imagine being without my camera. I also love carnival. I’m glad that it hasn’t ruined it for you. Happy cruising.
That is crazy! As already stated, Carnival should be thrilled that you want to film on their ships, as this is free advertising. We headed out on the Breeze for a two week Caribbean cruise Sept 16th and plan on filming a lot. I hope we do not run into the same issue. I surely will stay away from any Facebook pages... LOL!
I really hate this happened to you and your son!! I would be PISSED at that lady in the FB group! I can only imagine the crazy story she made up and told carnival!! You are owed a BIG apology from her (not gonna happen) and Carnival!
Tina Fox thanks Tina. I still love Carnival and cruising the fleet is a big part of my life. No apology needed really. Just wanted to vent and share one bad experience from about a million good ones. :). Please subscribe if you haven’t.
This is ridiculous. Like you said, EVERYONE has a camera on them and Everyone takes pictures and videos while on a cruise. I would say that if people did not take a picture onboard their cruise, it would be abnormal in today’s day in age. Thanks for sharing Sal.
Wow! It really is disappointing that Carnival would take the side of a busy-body, drama queen! Nice to meet you yesterday in the cruise-a-thon chat and discover your channel! Subscribed!
Oh for heaven's sake. FB chick should stay home. I was looking through videos on youtube (how I got to yours actually) to help my post cruise blues and found one of the same cruise we were on. There's a photo on one I found where my son is in the background. I thought it was really cool! Some people need to just stay home.
I don't get what the issue is. I take photos when I'm on a cruise all the time along with videos. It's no different! I really hope this doesn't happen to you again. Like the previous commenter said, ridiculous!
Wow! That’s crazy! Sorry this happened to you and your son. I can’t believe anyone’s life would be so dull that all they have time to do is stir up trouble for innocent people. You would think Carnival would be able to see through these fools.
Why would someone start a Facebook group and yet want to remain completely private? People are literally such weirdos. Meanwhile I’m sure Carnival has it in their contract that you consent to any photos taken by them to be used for public promotion.
She's a swinger and didn't want your cameras drawing attention to her escapades in the clam shells in the Serenity area in the wee small hours of the morning. Report her to FB and detail the grief she caused you. She sounds like a paranoid with borderline personality issues. Good luck.
I agree on this that Carnival did treat you a little unfairly. Sometimes I've seen ppl complain about Carnival because of a few incidents that they've had in the past but I can say I've never had a problem with them. Unfortunately things will happen though because it's just how things go but I still will sail with Carnival unless they do something I just absolutely cannot agree with them on. Btw are you gonna go on the new ship in 2020 that'll be going out of Long Beach?
I keep thinking that there had to be more to the security issue than you were aware of. Otherwise, I don't know that there would be a problem. If they had a complaint or some other reason that they were worried about security or a law suit or something. I just think that they were not just picking on you, that there just had to be a bigger issue that you are not aware of.
Wow that's messed up. I've been watching videos to get ready (as I've never been on one) since a friend and I havr decided to plan a cruise this fall and I think carnival just knocked themselves off the list
Sounds like the person that was objecting to being filmed was the outlaw. Wonder what she is hiding. So sorry to hear about your experience. You always give excellent info about Carnival.
Wow!! This really sounds like it got blown out of proportion, bad! This woman is on Facebook, going on a cruise, and is actually worried about her privacy?? Give me a break!!! Sounds like she was just trying to be in control here and unfortunately, Carnival took her side. People are filming from every angle on cruiseships!! Sorry you had this unpleasant experience!! We all know you make awesome and informative videos for your viewers which only encourages us to take more cruises. The better the quality, (yes, professional equipment) the more enticing these cruises appear to us, and only helps the cruise ship industry. Thank you for all you do, Sal!!!
New subscriber :-). I have been on the Carnival fantasy (2times) elations (2 times) A liberty and I am getting ready to go on the Carnival inspiration in March. That’ was messed up on carnival side!!
From what I've read you ARE ALLOWED to film in "PUBLIC" places and they can't stop you. The issue I have is Carnival was recently found to have hidden cameras in state rooms allegedly placed by carnival employees. I know your being the bigger person but I would've included the woman's name in your video so she can face the public about the mess she started.
@@flitsertheo Most of the cruise ship is to some degree a public area, where anyone booked on the cruise may come and go, as opposed to a stateroom or employee area. Anyone is allowed to film in those areas using personal equipment. There are exceptions for some areas, like the casino and the art gallery.
@@kitiaram6613There may be "some degree" of tolerance towards photography but shoot a seemingly "innocent" picture at the wrong spot, from the wrong people, at the wrong moment and you'll find out that you have no rights at all, management, security, the law, they will all turn against you. 40 years of experience as a photographer.
Im English and going on my first cruise in April, P+O cruises on their largest ship the Britannia, and because I have a RUclips channel I'm gonna film ALOT, I just think that people are too concerned with their own privacy, it's ridiculous! Nice video btw
My friend goes on fb page for every carnival cruise we take. People post pics of their family on it and personal things. In this day and age if you do not want to be seen or pics taken of you on cruise do not go.Whether it be carnival taking pics of us all over the ship for video usage or just photos our faces are plastered on photos boards for all to see including other passengers.
Wow, some people are such freaking babies. This generation is nothing but a bunch of dang childesh cry babies. I'm so sorry you had to deal with this crap. Shame on Carnival!!
I agree. Was a very odd experience. You would have thought I brought drugs or something on board. Was treated like a criminal. And I’m one of the biggest Carnival supporters you have ever met. Please subscribe if you haven’t.
Its funny that you get this treatment from Carnival but on the legend they allow a riot occur several times on the ship and not until the end do they kick the passengers off who were violent!
Well to be fair, they cant control if a fight breaks out... But when they do, Security is on top of it immediately. I have never felt unsafe on a cruise ship, due to a lack of security.
Absolutely! This was just a one time thing with a brand new staff. Carnival has since apologized to me. And I have not had any other incidents on my cruise is with them since.
Wow...wonder if this means I have to be worried next time we cruise. I have cameras (nothing really fancy) and I love getting pictures of the ship, interior public areas and also from the outer decks. My preference would be no others in the pictures, but that is impossible on a cruise ship. I am sure that my husband and I are in pictures that others take and maybe even video. That is part of being on vacation and if this woman is that paranoid about that, then she needs to consider a more exclusive/private vacation somewhere, not a cruise ship full of people. She is probably hiding something or hiding from someone (ex relationship), but either way, she went way overboard on this (no pun intended).
I don’t know if this has been mentioned, but under US law photographers and videographers are protected for public photography. No need for release forms or permission for people in videos in public areas, only needed if they are specifically a part of the video (interviews etc). Of course there is gray area with this being an establishment that can have its own rules, but I would have expected them to have your back and be aware of these things. Especially considering the photographers on most carnival cruises take long range candid shots of everyone on deck and post them on the photo walls, and have live video feed of the main deck broadcasting on every tv in every room. Not to mention people take pictures on cruise ships and beaches, since as long as cameras existed. Someone had a stuck up their butt...I’m sure it was explained to her that being in the background of a video or picture isn’t exactly something to be upset about, but some people are just....special.
Christopher Byrd That is correct. Actually most of the world you can photograph or video in any public place. Where there is no expectation of privacy… That being said, Carnival registers their ships in Panama and the Bahamas. But being a private company, they can really do what they want when you are on board anyway
I went on the carnival Sensation and loved it. However, I am starting to hear horrible stories about how guess are treated aboard Carnival Cruise ships. looking to book my next cruise somewhere else. I cruise four times a year and don't want to sail with a Cruise lines that treats passengers like outlaws!! Next cruise is 21 days on NCL Bliss.
I was just on Carnival and everyone on the ship has a camera. I think your problem should be with this lady who lied on you and your intentions for filming. The security staff has a duty to protection the passengers even if one person is lying, they have to be proactive to be on the safe side.
I am so sad for you! And a big wake up call for me how horrible you were treated because of one person! I hope you get compensated for trouble you went through ! Your cruising history alone showed you character!
And..I've learned over the last year or so..a great way to sour yourself on your cruise is to get involved with FB groups. Some are okay, but it's not worth the risk of drama. There are a couple of big groups out there that are absolute snake pits, and even the roll call groups can go south.
Cannot film on the ship? I would say goodbye to Carnival for good. The wife and I used to sail Carnival, maybe 6 or 7 times, the only way I would get back on one of their ships is if the put me in balcony two week souther for about $150/person then I would have to think about it. Other cruise lines do a great job, try one.
Karl Moore Have a great time on the horizon. I will let you know how it was. I will be uploading videos throughout the whole trip. As long as the Internet will let me… If not they will upload it for I get home.
You should have waited till you left and taken Carnival up on "The Great Vacation Gaurantee" then you could have done a blog on that. I don't think anyone has ever done one on it before. As for Carnival and the security. Did you ask them if they were going to make everyone on the ship put up there camera? What they did was wrong.
Ridiculous! Why did the lady start a Facebook page if she was so private? Look around stupid, there are cameras everywhere! I'm sorry this happened to you. Shame on Carnival for treating you this way.
What did that person have to hide she had it on Facebook no way should Carnival have treated you that way 😞 she must have been jealous or either hiding something from her husband boyfriend ect. WOW some people in this world amaze me but glad everything turned out okay for you and your son. That is on my bucket list to get me and my granddaughter on a cruise ship my husband & her and I was supposed to go last year but the year before he passed away after being diagnosed with cancer and given 6 months to live he lasted 5 so our dreams were shattered in so many ways. Waiting for your next vlog.
Odd given the number of people shooting selfies as they walk around the ship. Bad invention the selfie stick. But it is a bit fun to watch them walk into poles, doors and sometimes walls. A bit awkward tho when they walk into people.
Because security and corporate where involved, I'm thinking probably witness protection or undercover officer maybe with a federal agency. That's just my guess.
I have witnessed more of these ridiculous situations in 30 years of photography. For instance allowing you to film here and there but not 5m left of "here" and 10m right of "there" (I left that place after 10 minutes). A returning theme is where security seems to ignore that about everybody carries a cellphone with a camera but focuses on the "professional" looking cameras instead. Basically anything you can't put in your pocket such as a DSLR. One fair I attend (and where I take an average of 8000 pictures in 4 days) prohibits any camera larger than 20x20x20 cm, lens and flash included. Where they got that particular measurement is a mystery.
This is beyond my comprehension. I follow 5 people on Facebook who post nothing but cruise videos. I have seen videos from almost every cruise line, but the majority of them are of carnival. They include, the buffet, dinner, dancing, games, swimming, the slides, the movies, and on and on. Carnival was very wrong in the way they handled this. And, why would they take a strangers word for anything? I have never liked Carnival. I have been on many cruises and only 3 of the were Carnival. I already decided I would never cruise with them again and you just confirmed my decision.
I hope by this point that Carnival has apologized at the very least. I’m sure there were, at the very least, HUNDREDS of others filming on that cruise. I film onboard. It’s bad enough when some lunatic goes off the deep end, but these people are suppose to be PROFESSIONALS and NEVER should have allowed this to go beyond the lady ranting to them and perhaps one officer questioning you for 5 minutes to make sure you were not up to anything illegal, immoral or unethical. For them to threaten you is ridiculous. The only one that should have been threatened to be thrown off is the lunatic lady that made the accusations. Thanks for all you do and the informative videos.
Don’t. Carnival Cruise is fantastic. This was just a one time incident. Carnival has apologized, and I’ve been on several since that all of all been amazing.
You have the right to film in any public place that you are authorized to be in. the fact they told you that you can't film while on vacation seem ultra stupid solely based on the word of a person you nor they actually even know.
Hello, visited RUclips lately? Everybody is filming onboard a cruise and sharing it on RUclips and FaceBook. The wife and I have been bouncing back and forth between Carnival and Princess for our next cruise, after seeing this it sure won't be Carnival. It just worries me that Princess is owned by the same company, are they gonna start this crap also?
i appreciate your personal reply. a public place on a privately owned vessel does not mean "public areas" are free places. I too love carnival for its laissez faire attitude. but bottom line is its up to the captain and the corporation to determine whats acceptable or not. and Sal even you have to admit boom operators camera peole etc are a far cry from my iphone pics and videos. but from your side of the boat i do believe the person who mafe these false charges should have been held responsible for the entire mess. and no BS,you make really goid Carnival videos.
OK let me go a little more. First I had no intention of pulling out the boom microphone on board the ship. When I was approached by security and everything was still packed, in my cabin. We were actually using it for a photo shoot which is already licensed by the local government in a port. And what I meant is, in the public area of the crew ship is considered a place where there is no expectation of privacy. Meaning, if somebody takes your photo there they can use it for whatever medium they like. They do not need to get a license or permission from you. That being said, you are correct the captain has the final say on his ship. If he says nobody can take photos and nobody can take photos. This wasn’t an argument about what Carnival did and did not want me to do. They asked me not to use my equipment on board and I did not. The no expectation of privacy has nothing to do with whether the cruise line will or will not let you use your camera. It has to do with the fact that this woman had no expectation of privacy if she was in anybody’s video who was on the ship. I have been a member of the media for a very long time. Including as an owner of a newspaper.I know the laws when it comes to Photographing people, very very well. And, it’s not like I had any intention of photographing her at all. I do not even know who she is.
That's crazy you pay $6,000 to go on a cruise you should be able to record your experience. I will not go on a vacation if i'm not allowed to do what i need to do, I would have walked off the ship straight into corporate and Filed against
This is really sad that one person could cause this much of a problem they should have told her not to join the cruise because they could not promise for her not to be captured in anyone’s videos or a snapshot someone was taking this would have halted the situation right away I feel this could have been handled so differently
What a load of crap Sal. Sorry to hear about your trouble and I just saw this video. You are absolutely correct. You have someone that starts a facebook page and opens it up to basically anyone. All of a sudden, she is worried about her privacy. What a whack a mole.
Some people have very realistic reasons for not being posted in social groups, like myself. But, having said that, she already failed by creating a FB page that linked her to it. To help understand just one reason, I am a ex correctional officer. As I stated ex. I have seen some individuals ,of whom I oversaw , within one block from my house. I never post my picture nor allow it to be posted on any social group. I am not living in fear, I just can’t have my kids meeting any of them for their protection. But again, she failed.
Oh that was so wrong. I would of had to take that over their heads. You were singled out and why because one person complained. So you can’t have memories from your trip. Someone would have to explain that to me and as much as I love Carnival and cruising. I just wouldn’t give them another dime until I got some resolve. Sorry you experienced that and hope your next cruise(hopefully paid for by Carnival) is much better
So I was on the Carnival Paradise in Late Oct, 2018. The photographers were just rude. My friend was eating dinner and the Table said no to pictures. So this guy dressed as a Pirate sneaks up behind my friend and as she was taking a bite of food and put this sword across her throat. I told him not so nicely that if he didn't stop right then trouble was gonna happen. As the Cruise went on they only got worst. We complained but other than no pirates showing up tableside they were just rude! So I guess they can harass you but you can not take pictures? I think I need to rethink Carnival....
Im sure if it came to such a thing, youd blur faces in the background if it so happened to be hers (or anyone else that truly didnt want to be filmed)... it shouldnt mean you cant film, it should only mean removing them from the footage. Ive seen different prank videos and such by other known youtubers, they leave in the people accepting and blur the people who wish to be blurred. Its not a big deal at all. maybe thats just me?
Nothing to really update on this one. Carnival has apologized for it. I have been on cruises with Carnival since and no incidents. I think this was just a one time thing, with a brand new security crew who did not know better.
I’m so sorry you experienced that on your cruise. That annoy me to hear in regards to her not wanting to be film. I see so many video and stranger are on them with no problem. What really annoy me about the situation is when she reached out to you, you assured her that she would not be film why would she go and report you? That’s what really bother me.
I’ve subscribe to you after watchcing a few of your videos (great stuff btw), and this is a really disappointing occurrence. I have never heard of any sort of issue that you are prohibited to take video onboard your vacation that you paid for. Everybody wants to get photos/videos of their cruise experience, and for one ignorant woman to get in that way of that is a real shame. Hopefully something like this doesn’t happen to you again or to myself, as I might be doing cruise reviews down the road. Keep up the great work!
Normally it's a freedom of expression right and that open public access places don't have a presumption of privacy. Not having read your correspondence with Cra Cra Lady, it's hard to saw but perhaps offering up for her to watch some of your youtube videos and then possibly meet so you could be particularly deliberate in keeping her out of any footage might 'just might' have gotten you somewhere with her besides how it played out. Hind sight being 2020.
Wow! Where are how many thousands of people and this one lady is so worried to death about herself she has to ruin your trip and part of your work?!?! I am sure she posted WAY more photos and videos of herself on public domain than you ever would have. Such a shame this happened to you!!!!! Shame on that lady as well!
Its legal. The ship is private property. But, I also think, if they wouldn't let me, they need to stop everyone with a camera that takes videos... Make sure to subscribe!
Personally I am a Carnival fan like you. I would be more upset with the woman who set them up to think you posed some kind of threat because, clearly she must have said something pretty extreme to make them react that way.
Dude you gotta be more discreet. Once ur on the ship u ask people if they want to help. Have ur waiver paperwork, then talk with the Director. They are usually hella cool about letting u film as long as u respect other guests
You have to be careful of what you do or say on any social media format because there are all types of crazies out there. Carnival Cruise Lines is my brand of choice.

I am deciding as to what cruise line I should pick. I've been watching your vids and this one helped me a lot. Thanks for being honest
Cameras on vacation? Omg. Some people need to get over their privacy in public venues. Don’t want to be on camera, hide in a closet.
What I find funny, is that I had not even taking the camera out of the case… It was in a case under my bed in the cabin.

Tina Fox thanks Tina. I still love Carnival and cruising the fleet is a big part of my life. No apology needed really. Just wanted to vent and share one bad experience from about a million good ones. :). Please subscribe if you haven’t.
She probably tried suing carnival to get a free cruise, because she thinks she was violated😡
Some people need to just stay home.
bet you shes cheating and didnt want video proof of it out there.
I agree with you 100%. Btw im taking my first carnival cruise in October. Cant wait
Dakota DePadre woop! Woop! Have a great time on your cruise and don’t forget to come back and let us know how it was. :)
You were the only person not allowed to take pictures? If you were banned from taking photos EVERYONE should have been banned.
Couldn't agree more! Please make sure to subscribe!
@@RUclipsDestinations security would have loved me i would have spent the whole trip reporting people with cameras and demanding they do something
I don't get what the issue is. I take photos when I'm on a cruise all the time along with videos. It's no different! I really hope this doesn't happen to you again. Like the previous commenter said, ridiculous!
Thanks I agree. Please subscribe if you haven’t.
I've shot a lot of video and my camera has a really good microphone. Forgot about the background music until I watched the video at home.
Wow! That’s crazy! Sorry this happened to you and your son. I can’t believe anyone’s life would be so dull that all they have time to do is stir up trouble for innocent people. You would think Carnival would be able to see through these fools.
It’s all good. It was just a one time thing. And has not happened again. Thank you for commenting!
Why would someone start a Facebook group and yet want to remain completely private? People are literally such weirdos. Meanwhile I’m sure Carnival has it in their contract that you consent to any photos taken by them to be used for public promotion.
I considered posting her name and the message she sent me in this video.... lol.
She's a swinger and didn't want your cameras drawing attention to her escapades in the clam shells in the Serenity area in the wee small hours of the morning. Report her to FB and detail the grief she caused you. She sounds like a paranoid with borderline personality issues. Good luck.
Not sure about the swinger angle but couldn't agree more that she should be reported to FB and hopefully they will do something about it
I agree on this that Carnival did treat you a little unfairly.
Hi, yes, I go on all of Carnival’s inaugural sailings. The new one in 2020 will be the Carnival
Panorama. Make sure you subscribe!
Did they ever make it right?
Ive been on exactly one cruise. It was a Carnival cruise. I plan to never set foot on another cruise ship. Security and Staff are the 2 reasons.
You should still go. This was just a one time thing I am sure. :)
Sounds like the person that was objecting to being filmed was the outlaw. Wonder what she is hiding. So sorry to hear about your experience. You always give excellent info about Carnival.
My question is with your drone I would like to bring mine too the ports. Do you know what places allow it? I'm going on Eastern Caribbean cruise.
Joe Boos every port is different. Do a Google search for each country’s rules. Fly safe!
Thank you for all you do, Sal!!!
as many travel and cruise vloggers as are out there it's amazing that security would think this is an issue.
IKR! Make sure to subscribe!
New subscriber :-). I have been on the Carnival fantasy (2times) elations (2 times) A liberty and I am getting ready to go on the Carnival inspiration in March. That’ was messed up on carnival side!!
Thanks for subscribing!
Yes, but a cruise ship is not a public place, it's private property.
Hope you have a great cruise!
pretty cool channel, keep up the good work.... family and I are recent gold members of carnival...
Thank you again James. Gold is great! Soon you will be Platinum and that’s when the benefits really start.
I can see why Carnival would get paranoid with cameras. Just saw on the news that a couple discovered a hidden camera in their cabin!
You should do storytelling about Cruise Ships, like tell the story of Costa Concordia and other stuff like that
Great idea... I will start putting one together! Please make sure to subscribe!
That stupid woman from the Facebook page probably is on someone's footage somewhere from that ship, lol. Really!!!
haha right! Please subscribe!
I subscribed. I have never been on a cruise but I really want to.
Angie Johnson awesome. And ty. I hope to see you on board. If you need help deciding on a cruise. Let me know!
That's so nice of you thank you. I'm still in the getting information stage. Lol.
Sounds like to me, this lady didn't want anyone to see her with her "boy friend" and not her husband!!! Love watching your videos Sal!!
Its funny that you get this treatment from Carnival but on the legend they allow a riot occur several times on the ship and not until the end do they kick the passengers off who were violent!
Well to be fair, they cant control if a fight breaks out... But when they do, Security is on top of it immediately. I have never felt unsafe on a cruise ship, due to a lack of security.
and everyone videotaped it too! LOL
Carnival was going to lock me up for drinking a beer sitting on side of pool never been back to carnival again
I’m going on the carnival legend in October can I take photos and film
I wouldn't worry. I think my camera was just intimidating since it was a bigger camera on a 3 axis mount and all. Looked like a pro movie camera.
I agree with you. Carnival has since apologized for t he incident. Ive had no issues since :)
I agree 100%
So, are you not allowed to take videos on the cruise ship??
Cannot film on the ship? I would say goodbye to Carnival for good. The wife and I used to sail Carnival, maybe 6 or 7 times, the only way I would get back on one of their ships is if the put me in balcony two week souther for about $150/person then I would have to think about it. Other cruise lines do a great job, try one.
Going on horizon the end of September can't wait for your video
Karl Moore Have a great time on the horizon. I will let you know how it was. I will be uploading videos throughout the whole trip. As long as the Internet will let me… If not they will upload it for I get home.
You should have waited till you left and taken Carnival up on "The Great Vacation Gaurantee" then you could have done a blog on that. I don't think anyone has ever done one on it before. As for Carnival and the security. Did you ask them if they were going to make everyone on the ship put up there camera? What they did was wrong.
That’s horrible I was just on the carnival vista and I saw people filming with huge cameras
What happened on this cruise was not the norm... Ive filmed on Carnival before.. .and since with no issues.
Dude I’m the same way! But I have small cameras though. That would have really made me mad lol
Oh trust me, I was :P
Whats wrong with having a camera on a cruise?
Ridiculous! Why did the lady start a Facebook page if she was so private? Look around stupid, there are cameras everywhere! I'm sorry this happened to you. Shame on Carnival for treating you this way.
Yup, I’m about to get out of all those carnival groups on Facebook. Please post which group because that’s ridiculous
People are nuts. Lol
Go on the next cruise you can and enjoy with your husband in mind and heart.
Odd given the number of people shooting selfies as they walk around the ship. Bad invention the selfie stick. But it is a bit fun to watch them walk into poles, doors and sometimes walls. A bit awkward tho when they walk into people.
Lol. IKR
I still love Carnival. Just broke my heart handled this one situation, which... shouldn't haven't even been a "situation". Make sure to subscribe!
Makes me re think taking a Carnival cruise.
Don’t. Carnival Cruise is fantastic. This was just a one time incident. Carnival has apologized, and I’ve been on several since that all of all been amazing.
Thats ridiculous. Im a photographer and just about had it with these people and their "right not to be photographed" ridiculous
You have the right to film in any public place that you are authorized to be in. the fact they told you that you can't film while on vacation seem ultra stupid solely based on the word of a person you nor they actually even know.
Well yes and no. The ship is actually private property. While a bad business decision in my opinion, they do have the right to dictate their rules.
I really think this was a one time thing by an improperly trained chief of security (new ship and all). Never had an issue before... or since.
sounds like Carnival was erring on the side of caution...but everyone has a camera these days and dont you sign a waiver about being photographed???
How ridiculous. Thats sucks you had to go thru that
As someone that has had a protraction order on some one there a time I would not want video of me out in public.
i appreciate your personal reply. a public place on a privately owned vessel does not mean "public areas" are free places.
I will not go on a vacation if i'm not allowed to do what i need to do, I would have walked off the ship straight into corporate and Filed against
Wow I have never heard that you can not film on your vacation or who you can not film.
This is really sad that one person could cause this much of a problem they should have told her not to join the cruise because they could not promise for her not to be captured in anyone’s videos or a snapshot someone was taking this would have halted the situation right away I feel this could have been handled so differently
That lady don't know what's to have fun and let others know about it
IKR. :). Thanks for watching.
I don't understand what there problem is there are so many videos of people filming everything from the massive deck party to all sorts of things
IKR
Oh that was so wrong. I would of had to take that over their heads. You were singled out and why because one person complained. So you can’t have memories from your trip. Someone would have to explain that to me and as much as I love Carnival and cruising. I just wouldn’t give them another dime until I got some resolve. Sorry you experienced that and hope your next cruise(hopefully paid for by Carnival) is much better
Who was it with the facebook group? Did the name begin with a B?
Kevin Muxfeldt haha.
Maybe I’ll bring a “RED” camera on my next voyage & see what they say.
When r u going on the horizon I am going on July 11th
July 3rd. Just before yours!
Any updates?
Nothing to really update on this one. Carnival has apologized for it. I have been on cruises with Carnival since and no incidents. I think this was just a one time thing, with a brand new security crew who did not know better.
Please expose this Lady!!!
I think the aerial views would have been great in port such a shame that 1 person can make Havoc on everyone
Karl Moore it’s all good. I am bringing the drone on my cruise in two weeks. Look forward to some great videos…
Oh snap I have pictures of a lot of people on my cruises. Why did she start a facebook page then?
Thanks. My next cruise in a couple of weeks and I am bringing some serious camera gear. I will post what happens…
IKR, ty for posting Sarah. Be sure to subscribe!
I don't think that it is legal to disallow filming in public areas of a cruise ship........it is done all the time.
I agree this girl was just a b**** and no right to do that to you. Good videos i enjoy watching your videos you have grat advice
Thanks, many more to come!
You have to be careful of what you do or say on any social media format because there are all types of crazies out there. Carnival Cruise Lines is my brand of choice.
Oh i agree with that. lol Thanks for postinig Sonya!
