Damn. Our man from Lynn Lake. Wish he were known for more than Life Is A Highway, because the lyrics on this track are outstanding. Not to mention Tom's vocals. Really amazing, and really under-celebrated.
AWESOME, MY BROTHER HAD THE ALBUM THIS SONG WAS ON, I REMEMBER HOW DIFFERENT RED RIDER WAS AND THEY HAVE A GREAT SOUND, THEN AND NOW, TOM IS OLDER SO HE CANT HIT THOSE HIGH NOTES, HE STILL DID AN AWESOME JOB, HE REWORKED THE VOCALS, GREAT TO SEE ALL OF THE MEMBERS
This show really blew me away! I also loved how much enthusiasm he showed for lettting the audience sing out the notes that he no longer can. He's such a professional showman!
@@thevinylvagabond IT SUCKS GETTING OLDER, I USED TO BE A PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN AND VOCALIST, I LOST THE HIGH END OF MY VOCAL ABILITY A FEW YEARS AGO, ITS FRUSTRATING, BUT I WORK WITH WHAT I HAVE, THATS EXACTLY WHAT TOM HAS DONE, HES STILL GREAT BEING 69 YEARS OLD AND STILL PLAYING, ME I RETIRED FOR THE MOST PART, BEING A PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN CAN REALLY TAKE A TOLL ON ANYONE, ITS ONE OF THE TOUGHEST INDUSTRIES TO MAKE IT AND SURVIVE AND STILL MANAGE TO HAVE YOUR SANITY, THE MUSIC INDUSTRY CAN DESTROY ANYONE IF THEY LET IT
I love this song. I am learning this song on my guitar now. Tom still has it. This is a little bit of a mellowed version of the original. Just seems very relaxed. No complaint at all but loving it! What a vibe!!!!
I hear ya, it doesn't have quite the same punch, 'eh? Still....in terms of sheer performance, this show was one of the real surprises of the year or me. He's such an enthusiastic and charismatic performer and I'm so glad I got to see these classics live!
it's all about the NATIVE VIBE......love the percussion and the knowledge imparted for those of us who can hear.thank you for from waaaaay back RED RIDERs!!!
Never recognised that before, and you're right. He's from Lynn Lake after all, and had to have been exposed to some of that awesome first nations pulse.
Thank you so much for the positive feedback!!! I'm so glad that you're enjoying this video as much as you are. And to take the time to leave such a warm and enthusiastic comment? Well, that really goes above and beyond the call of duty! A lot of people wouldn't take the time to show such appreciation. I simply can't express enough how much comments like yours inspire me.
I know, right? The damn guy recording this in the crowd should have stopped the show, and demanded they remix it just for his cell phone! I know that's exactly what you would have done, and thank GOD there are people like you in this world❣
@@thevinylvagabond I'm very disappointed that you didn't storm up to Tom Cochrane, and explain to him that bass was too loud, and the guitar was too soft, for your cell phone. But hey, at least you shared this amazing footage with us, so there is that. :)
Respect to Tom Cochrane and all the rock and roll legends still taking the stage without and backing track.
Amen 🙏

I absolutely loved this performance! Showing my age now, but I first heard this song on Miami Vice

👏👏👏👏👏
covers our cult govt well ...he received the order of canada in 08.......love it!
Shot horizontally:)
😁
The bass is to loud! I used to go to a club that had the same situation. It is so difficult to hear everyone else.
Nothing to do with the guy holding the camera/phone right in front of the Bass Amp ....
IT IS ALL ABOUT THE BASS
I know, right? The damn guy recording this in the crowd should have stopped the show, and demanded they remix it just for his cell phone!
The bass is never too loud😁
yikes don't neet a vibrator chair just play this great job thank you!
Bass is too loud and rhythm guitar is too soft. The only thing that really sounded half way decent in this mix was the lead guitar..

@@WSS_the_OG- You know what I mean, wise ass.
