They did not complain, they did not flee. They went into the mountains, and held the line because it had to be done. They fought, they bled, and many died. All to save the Fatherland from an invader most treacherous. They gave not only a country but the world a hope that the most gruesome war in history could be won, that the armies of our enemies were not invincible. For six months they fought in the high mountains until - from nearly all sides - the invaders of four nations crashed upon us like the sea. But our victory encouraged those who remained to fight for the final victory. And almost four years to the day since the first calls rang out to go north and hold the line, those men who fought and bled marched through a liberated Fatherland again.
    Memory Eternal.
