I think it was Sherlock for me. I'm a hug fan of Sherlock Holmes and I knew SHINee from their Japanese events, so I took a look at it when it came out and... Well. Instant Shawol.

I met them in 2011 when I saw a kpop special in TV with the song Hello. They got me into kpop.

In that video I saw minho and got surprised because he was the main character in a drama called "to the beautiful you"...my fav ..... In that drama onew and taemin sang ost ...... I get emotional whenever I here the ost 'in your eyes"😭... This band deserves more

As for choreo, I know that Kasper (one of SMs senior dancers) who created TAemin's Criminal and IDEA also collaborated with on Don't Call Me (and is one of the background dancers), and that a Japanese background dancers here in Heart Attack was also the choreographer for that song, but they've worked with loads of choreographers from all kinds of countries, Tony Testa, Ian Eastwood, Rino Nakasone (to the extent she's SHINee's mom - Replay was hers for example; she's also done concert directing in Japane for SHINee and Taemin - possibly also for Keyland), Koharu Sugawara.
ALSO!!! They only had 3 days to study the choreo for CODE! From what Taemin let slip all the members were surprised how good that song had become after final mix and release of the album and they decided they definitely wanted to show it during promo period (which was supposed to be DCM and Heart Attack) so in the 2nd round of music show appearances they came with CODE as the 2nd song.

We wholeheartedly welcome you (it's okay to be a multi stan, despite what other fandoms say)! Fun fact, SHINee gained the ability to perform such difficult choreo while singing by running in the treadmill while singing.
Jjong made them jog outside when they first started. There was even a video of them getting on with it. I can't remember exactly but someone manhandled carried taemin bodily out.

Because that time, It was HUGE for a rookie group to perform live while dancing and holding mics in their hands.

Another UK shawol here...discovered them in 2018, long story but went in feet first and watched a whole concert ....needless to say best thing I've ever done..plus Taemin is my ult ...you will NEVER be done with these guys...TRUST ME...they are on another level.
It's okay, don't worry, when I discovered Shinee 4 years ago I was in full fan mode within a day and a half.
It is simply impossible to meet Shinee and remain indifferent. I wasn't ready to listen to k-pop at all, but I fell in love with Shinee, and for several years they've been with me every day.
People usually don't focus on Ming's voice because he debuted as a rapper and main visual. Which is really sad.
Ming/Minho actually has a very deep soothing voice. Often gives you nostalgic vibes. Must listen to his own song 'I'm home'. He's a really great singer. I'm glad you appreciate his voice ~
Something I was very surprised about at my beginning (2009). When rapping fans love key, when it goes for look Jonghyun and Taemin have his baby status, onew's voice is unbelievable. Minho was often overlooked, especially at the beginning.
Minho is a very good singer. In this album especially, you can hear how he grounds the songs with his baritone. In Kiss Kiss on this album he sings quite a bit. Listen to their Japanese single “Sing a Song” where Minho has a prominent part. In Story of Light album he does sing more too. Check those out. Minho is a very special guy. For all his hotness he has a heart of gold & a great dancer too.
The problem I have with Shinee is, when a particular song is performed live, they tend to sound better than the studio version. It's crazy! For example, Excuse Me Miss. I will always listen to the live version coz the studio one somehow feel... Hmm... incomplete
I agree. Most groups are great in the studio and so-so live. Not SHINee. I almost always tell people to check their live performances, when I am trying to introduce them to SHINee. I definitely feel that way about Sherlock. The video is almost awful in comparison to the live performance.
I agree completely! ESPECIALLY Jonghyun's "hyeya" live performance. The studio version doesn't compare at all.

The choreo of Heart Attack was made by YUMEKI a Japanese choreographer who has worked with other artists in SM, including Taemin as a soloist, he's also one of the backup dancers in Don't Call Me. On the other hand the choreo of CODE was created by Team We Dem Boyz a dance crew :D
The entire Don't Call Me album is a masterpiece really! Ohh in terms if their fashion, Key often designs them according to the members' personalities, body proportions etc. so each might have different styles but they do fit into the same theme. SHINee tends to use a number of choreographers who they are very familiar with. Some songs were choreographed by a single choreographer like the renowned Rino Nakasone (Replay) and Koharu Sugawara (Good Evening), whereas some songs involved a few choreographers to make one complete routine.
It’s lovely how you are also bringing new friends to watch them! Thank you for introducing SHINee to more people!
Fun fact about CODE - they only had 2-3 days to practice that choreography!
SHINee switches up their choreographers. Their final choreographies often have inputs of more than one choreographers - with one or two outsourced (often foreign) main choreographers. They also have the Korean choreographers that always work with them. These guys will sometimes change up some part of the original choreography as well. (As you have seen in Taemin’s - he went to California to learn the choreo for his first solo from an American choreographer. But some parts of the final choreography were by Korean choreographers). And of course, the members, particularly Taemin, have their input as well.

Heart Attack is my favorite off of the Don't Call Me Album! And THey stole my heart when I watched their show "Hello Baby" where all five of them were taking care of a cute 3 year old like they were his fathers. It's really cute and I suggest you check it out! It made me really fall in love with them.

i m Shawol since 2008...replay their debut mv caught my eye...i thought taemin dancing was great ...followed him through the years...love Onew's voice and the rest is history...so happy to see u reacting to them..watever u going to react to i will watch...be it old mvs, performance in music shows and of cos their concerts clips...love watching bbywols reaction to my Boys!
I love ONEW's voice! And I am thankful every time I hear it that his surgery went well and he was able to regain his full ability to sing for us.
Onew in 2014 had to go under surgery for removal of and fold mucosa reconstruction, but having the surgery risked the chance that he could never sing again, or that his voice will forever be altered. He spent a lot of time healing and not talking for months to recuperate.
You should check out his performance of RAINY BLUE, it was the first time he performed after healing and Taemin played the piano. That performance I always go back to and am amazed each time.

Minho feels fimself always. M
No matter how little parts he has, he is always there with 120%. He once actually injured his leg ans kept on performing with biggest smile. He says that fans support him, shinee, but tickets, listen to their music and heccano give them less than everything.
Key is great rapper. He has this clear, hard voice and he has some killer parts in some other songs. I will think of some to send your way for reactions
Onew has one of the most unique and beautiful voices. In 2014 (i think. I could be wrong) he undergo vical cord surgery and there was a chance he will never sing again. The concert after thst was very emotional to him as he is a real gem.
Taemin has thr look in his eyes, the hypbotic, snake like moves that makes you stay.
Code is one of my fab songs on album, i am every time surprised and outraged, like who allowed for all of that falsetto????

they give their all, the most famous incident was Onew sprained his ankle and in order to support his members and him wanting to give a good performance - He performed with the sprained ankle.
Watch their concerts korean and Japanese. They put up the best shows and you will have a different experience each time. Their FROM NOW ON concert was so raw and beautiful paying tribute to Jonghyun. They performed over a 100 percent for the fans but singing their heart out for their brother. You will need tissues

I think a live performance you would really enjoy is the Excuse me Miss Shinee world IV. The outfits are on point (key planned and help design some of the outfits for the concert) The choreo is fire and the vocals are stunning.

I was you a few months ago lol. I saw the video of Minho surprising everyone after Taemin's Last performance of his song "Idea" at Inkigayo in November as I already knew him from Hwarang and it only took me a couple of weeks to know that I was in deep with SHINee. Like so deep that I am really and truly stuck. It's only been a few months so I am still learning a lot about them and I am loving it.

SHINee are so versatile, they can handle and genre and style of dance. They don't put fillers in their albums all their songs are candidates for title tracks. Songwriters have said before that they don't need to hold back when writing for SHINee because they know they have the vocal ability to pull it off.

It's not surprising that they have got you in just two weeks. SHINee got me into K-pop. I watched them a few times and I was hooked. It took a while to get me to even listen to other groups because I would just say "They're not SHINee!" You get spoiled watching them and expect the same polish from everyone, instead of seeing each group with fresh eyes. It took a while but now I have found others I like too.
They used to jog everyday while singing. So it’s obvious why their voices are so stable while dancing.
I was first introduced to SHINee through Jonghyn's solo Crazy and Taemin's Press your number. My first SHINee encounter as a whole was Married to the music. I really loved their style and concepts and I never looked back💙
It's really enjoyable to watch their performances on stage!

Unfortunately Key didn't design their outfits for this promotion period if I remember correctly. He would have had too much to do with having just got out of enlistment. He was already doing variety shows (he is a regular on a Saturday show and he had done some other ones to get his face/name out there again along with letting people know SHINee was gonna release an album). He was also doing a lot of interviews as Key is usually the one out of the members to do them. To do all that along with recording the tracks, MV, and practicing dance... he would have little to no time to do the outfits probably. Though even if he doesn't design them he usually still looks them over to give an opinion.

Their stage presence is different. It seems they don't try hard to give off the emotion, they just feel it 🥺
You right. i love how they don't do a set-up concert like many other artists, especially american ones, rather they fill it with creativity and their own skills. The rest is done by their passion and charisma .

Minho and Onew's hair color reminded us of Team Rocket (from Pokemon). Happy they are more experimental with their hair now. Preiviously it was Taeamin, Key and Jonghyun who would always change colors (and usually bold and unusual), while Onew and Minho most of the time are just dark colored.

It would be great for you to see a live singing and dancing performance, as Shinee is very good at that. I love the presentation of 'everybody' in Tokyo Dome, in fact the entire concert in Tokyo Dome was sublime.
