They use one of two options every time: Deny or Excuse.
Deny is the easier of the two, so they do that first until there's so much evidence it's utterly irrefutable. It's why the main argument they use is flatness is 'apparent' when you are high in a plane or weather balloon, since there's no cheap public way to confirm either way.
But when that fails, such as in the case of literally going to antarctica and seeing a sun that is in a position completely independent of the flat earth's model, they get to coping as fast as possible. I have spent many months at Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station with the U.S. Antarctic Program. I can assure you that, not only is there "midnight Sun", the most important fact about that midnight Sun is that, looking upward, the Sun goes around clockwise, maintaining a constant elevation above the horizon. In contrast, if you go to the far north, you'll find that in summer the Sun goes around counterclockwise. This can only happen if a person looking up in the far north is in fact facing in the opposite direction from the person looking up in the far south. And of course at night they'll see totally different stars.
A simpler "proof" along these lines is that northern hemisphere sundials have the numbers going around clockwise, whereas southern hemisphere sundials have the numbers going around counterclockwise. The actual motions of the Sun and Moon cannot be explained by any flat Earth theory.

Same when you argue with christians. It's a psychological issue rather than an issue of truth. It's why ideologies are so bad for humans. Generally an ideology is fine if kept at the sidelines but if you plave that in value/importance above objective truth you blind yourself. Then that becomes your reality and you build your life on that as a foundation, so if that ideology crumbles then your whole life topples over andthe person is terrified to let that happen so they defend it at all costs.
Like with christianity or other religions it tends to form either from fear of personaldeath, loss of a loved one, or guilt of actions they couldn't morally justify or deserve forgiveness for. So the idea of Jesus solves those problems and with a group of other equally delusional people they can go gather with.
When an ideology is the most important thing you place it above logic and objective reality fighting for it so hard that no matter what facts are slapped into your face you will refuse to let your reality crumble.
I'm ashamed human kind have come this far that we even have to go through so much to show the world is round. There is no arguing with a flerfer just like you can't argue with very religious people. To deny their reality would crush their whole life and identity. It would be like death to their spirit.
Same thing happens with radicals of ay ideology like modern feminism who just simply can't believe any statostics or fscts and evidence that shows men being anything but monsters or that women already have equality or benefits. They want to be permanently the victim as a child without responsibility while also having the authority of a king.
Same is going on with the gender sht. Honestly I feel like in the next 5 years we're on the verge of revolution in the US because nobody is happy with our government anymore and we fight among ourselves more than anybody else. Law enforcement is hated by citizens for good reason. Racial stuff is going on, gender stuff, a terrible economy, political problems, ideologies oppose and silence the logical people because they feel threatened. People are starving like me I didn't eat today or yesterday. People are tired. Families are broken apart by a system that rewards mothers for getting rid of fathers and rewards people with money for not get getting a job. A system that infinitely pays for disabled people who created their own disability by eating so much they got diabetes and can't walk.. Or older people. We pay anybody generously who doesn't work and then put that burden on the shoulders of the young healthy kids. Universities put kids into debt to get rich knoeing the kids is gonna work at mcdonalds after and still be in debt for life. Jails judges andcops are paid from the gov based on how many people they can put through the system. Schools are basically not paid at all. While wars we don't have any reason to interfere in are beingfunded ridiculously. Whoever cries and plays victim enough gets whatever they want. Men don't even want to marry women or deal with them beyond sxual relations anymore because whatever value they might bring is not worth the risks. Nobody can afford to thrive, we just barely scrape by while the elderly and disabled and unemployed single mothers profit and laugh.
I once heard somebody say "The only country on earth that could take down america is america itself" That's probably the path we're heading toward. I'm at the stage I WANT a revolution soon. I hope this empire falls and the able bodied capable people shift the power back to the right hands.
Imagine if we lose power or some catastrophic event shuts everything down. The first to dje would be the elderly who can't get medications and the obese who can't get enough sugar or insulin. Then the physically disabled. Then the drg addicts and reckless violent people. Women would start respecting men realizing both genders are needed. The whiny victimhood people wont survive because they have to actuallytake responsibility when it gets bad and can no longer complain to be handed what they want, if they need food they fotta learn to hunt fish or farm, if they need shelter they gotta figure that out on their own. Everything would be so much better just the healthy young intelligent teamwork oriented people will be around.
We need either revolution or catastrophe to reset all this junk. Like Pompei and the fall of Rome and ancient greece and the persians and egyptian empires, it will fall because the system is failing while those at the top benefit by sucking out the lifeforce of everybody below. The power disparity isn't sustainable

The problem is that Starlink and other providers of Satelite internet tend to cluster their constellations around the lattitudes where people actually live, meaning that there is little to no cover of polar regions and often the satelite is at an oblique angle to the ground leaving you with much worse coverage.

That way, when the video is run forward as normal, the sun would appear to be moving around from right to left like the 24hr sun in Antarctica, instead of from left to right like the 24hr sun in the Arctic.
That will cause it's own problems, such as writing on signposts being backward (though I get flerfers will say all the signs were setup beforehand so that all writing was in reverse and these would then appear to be written forward when the flipped video is run), or the landscape itself being flipped left to right - I would love to see how flerfers would claim that was all setup beforehand - no, better yet, it was all done in a ginormous studio, like how moonlandings were supposedly faked😉

@@mysticnomad3577 Every object does attract other object, the fact that the net force from the (very miniscule) attraction between object, gravity and the centrifugal force overcomes the gravitational force between the objects interacting doesn't mean that force doesn't exist. When you lift an object up, gravity doesn't stop working, it's just a sum of the force you're applying with your hand and gravity, it's just that the net result hides the effect.
Objects spinning on the Earth experience a high attraction force (which we refer to as gravity for this force in particular) and a very low centrifugal force because the mass is very high and the rotational speed is very low. Spinning an object on another object on Earth results in the complete opposite situation, very low attraction object to object, masked by gravity, and high centrifugal force. Even without running the math it's easy to predict just by judging on the magnitude of forces at work that you would probably see a variable initial force due to the spinning and ultimately the effects of gravity, being a constant large force. For that matter you also don't see the effects of friction much but they're also there, it's just trivially small in the context of the other forces acting during the experiment.
Given I don't know what are the objects used, what's the number you got when using the law of universal gravitation to estimate the attraction between the objects? I assume since it was real science you did both the mathematical part and the practical part so you must have built the model to make the prediction too to contrast with the results of the experiment you ran

@@mysticnomad3577 I've been and have some answers to your questions...
how do you know you were in Antarctica?
      * I entered Antarctica from Christchurch, NZ. It took me nearly 24 hours of flights to get from Philadelphia airport to Christchurch on jet airplanes. It took about 7 hours on a prop plane (C-130 Hercules) to get from Christchurch to McMurdo (just off the coast of Antarctica proper on Ross Island). On the flight down I observed going from ice-free areas to sea-ice areas, and eventually seeing Ross Island (with a smoking Mt. Erebus) and landing on an ice runway on the Ross Ice Shelf. The next day I got on another prop plane Herc (LC-130) and flew 3 hours over ice to land at the south pole. (The Trans Antarctic mountains are breathtaking from the air.) If I had been taken north from Christchurch to the arctic it would have taken much longer than 10 flight hours on a prop plane since it took me nearly 24 hours on a faster jet plane from not even as far north as the Arctic.
Let me guess they told you and showed you some penguins and some icebergs.
      * Unfortunately, I never got a chance to see any penguins (McMurdo would have been my only opportunity), but I did see plenty of Weddle Seals and Skua birds. Again in McMurdo as there aren't any native fauna at South Pole. I did see plenty of icebergs (mostly broken sea-ice) from the windows of the Herc.
Can you post some uninterrupted video footage and send a link?
      * Nope. I didn't feel the need to record uninterrupted video, nor did I have the equipment and storage media to do that. Also on the Hercs, there were only two (easily accessible) windows and I had to share the windows, taking turns with the other passengers on the flight. Military planes aren't designed for tourist passengers, so being able to see outside the cargo area isn't a big design requirement.
How far into Antarctica did you get ?
      * As described, above, I went all the way to the South Pole. Stopping at McMurdo on the way down and back.
Did you go to the ceremonial Barber shop Pole and do a selfie?
      * Yep, we called them Hero Shots. Both at the ceremonial pole (not really a barber shop pole as the red and white spiral doesn't move) and the geographic marker.
Which tour company did you take to get there.
Was it for a vacation or work-related?
      * Answering both of those questions in one. I went there for work, helping to deploy the Ice Cube Neutrino Observatory. So I guess my "tour company" was either USAP (United States Antarctic Program) or NSF (National Science Foundation) depending on who you asked. (The observatory was funded by NSF grant(s), but USAP did all the logistics.)
What's the number one reason you think I should believe you?
      * I don't expect you to believe me, as your questions seem to imply a willful ignorance on your part. Others may be interested in the answers though.

I live in the UK and have a friend who lives in Australia. We're both amateur astronomers and regularly take photos of the Sun (weather permitting) so decided to try and photograph the Sun at exactly the same time. Having a separation of 120 degrees allows a small window of opportunity for this to happen. For almost a year we tried, but the clouds meant that the nearest we got was 34 minutes. Then earlier this month, the 5th June 2024, we managed to each photograph the Sun at exactly at 07:00 UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), that's 08:00 BST (British Summer Time). We used full-aperture solar filters so had the same sunspots in view. The sunspots move with the axial rotation of the Sun and change over time, meaning they're time and date sensitive, especially their relative positions to each other and the edge of the Sun. I have the photographic evidence along with the details from the camera readouts and have posted it on Facebook and Quora. I'm happy to let you have the details along with my evidence that the Sun is rotating. Good luck being the only one going as the flatties will make excuses for not going and risk losing their income stream.

@@markwood1159 young-Earth creationism is not how and what flerfs think it is. First and foremost, almost anyone is omitting the fact that in the Genesis it is written about days even before the Sun existed and that is contradictory in itself because it simply cannot be about Earthly days but about Universal days that could mean anything, maybe billion of years. So whoever is taking Genesis as an accurate representation of the world we know, must be a fool. Not that what it says there is flawed, it is that we don't have the measure units to do so, we don't have the meaning of the words to make a connection on a universal scale.
The Bible is very adamant about the existence of stars as celestial bodies like the Sun when it talks about the "stones of fire" in the "Cosmos", way before people even knew what the Sun is, that the stars are Sun-like bodies, that there is a Cosmos with large structures like the Milky Way in it. So just because someone is taking the Bible seriously, though, as an allegory in many places, with lots of unknown "data" to us, does not mean he believes in flat Earth!

Dave, my suggestion is to have someone who is in Greenland, Finland, Northern Canada, or anywhere else within the Arctic Circle, to also do real time pictures/video on the same dates to prove that it is DARK where they are. There is a live camera feed of the Levy ski resort in Lapland Finland on youtube (yesterday at 0200 their time, it was LIGHT). Someone probably should take a video looking out the window of the plane, or maybe the flight tracker program showing Southbound, to prove that you haven't gone over South American Rain Forest.

YESSS please, if you can, join a flerf livestream, say that you're in Antarctica as the livestream is going. Also, how about a 360 degree camera, a camera recording the camera and a third camera recording both the others, all in close proximity to your base so you can be seen entering and exiting the research facility, as well as operating the cameras AND recording the screen of a lifestream all in one shot. Hell, straight up post the whole 24 hour video on your channel as well (I don't know what the limit is, I think it's just under 24 hours or exactly that)

My suspicion is that IF a FLERF goes on this trip, and IF they accept the results, the best we'll get out of them is to just say something along the lines of "Oh, the Earth is still flat.
