- The screen for the Hamimex E300 retro mod has arrived! Quick video showing it working and what the unit comprises of.
The one I chose is different from 95% of the screens on AliExpress; s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Dch...
This has Micro USB for power, HDMI in, 4-pin speaker socket, a headphone jack, and IR control.
Most screens similar to this on AliExpress have a DC barrel connector for power, no headphone jack, and no IR control. I quite fancied the headphone jack for extensibility. The micro USB is more convenient for me, and I can use one of the many USB adapters I have around the house!

cool project. I own one of these Hanimex viewer. But unfortunatly is the link to the lcd broken. An d I can't find any of 7" in these old ~4:3 ratio.

The shipping to my country from this site is not available. So I don't even see the site :(
But I have found the right display somewhere. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
My setup is mostly done. Milling the case so screen fits in the bezel now. Put some leds for PWR and ACT for the raspi. Plus a Soft-Reset button. I been waiting now for the dual USB Sockets from Amazon.
Nice project and a great inspiration. Keep going.
@@dasmicha82 It's great to hear your project is going well, I'd love to see the changes you've made for the LEDs and soft-reset button.. sounds great!
