Just a little side tip...take the cotton round and split it in half....wet it and then put it on the Vaseline you’ve put under your eyes....it sticks better and not so bulky under the eye. It also allows the tint to get to the bottom of the lash hair...if your’re light coloured in the lashes you want the whole hair covered. Refectocil is a good brand, and it just has a developer and a tint...that’s it! I’ve been an esthetician for over 25 years....can’t imagine life with out tinted lashes and brows!!

Quick tip…instead of using cotton rounds, try cutting up a panty liner. I use them to catch eyeshadow fallout and they work GREAT. The adhesive is just enough to stick and easy to pull off.

Always tinted my own lashes from the age of 12. Here in the states, there was a wonderful product called “Dark Eyes,” available at all drug stores. Two little bottles, two little brushes and great results every time. Alas, it’s no longer available, and I’ve depended on estheticians since then. Inspired by this though! Thanks!!

During our lockdown I used these on myself and two teen daughters. We are pale redheads and we’re really happy with results. • @amy-graceloans8747
      @amy-graceloans8747 2 года назад +6

You add them separately because the developer activates the dye, the longer they are mixed together, the bigger the color molecules get, if they get too big, they can't penetrate the cuticle of the hair and the dye either doesn't work, or only lasts a portion of how long it's supposed to. Hope this helps. 😊

My lashes are brown, but nevertheless I tried this a while ago at home. Result: no result I could see 😳😂. The lashes didn't change the color or got darker.
When I get my lashes curled in a salon and the aesthetician dyes them, they get really dark/black and look great 🤷‍♀️.
Maybe I should try another product/brand?!
Love, hugs and kisses, Sabine 😊

It's so important to remove all traces of oils on the lashes so the dye takes effect. It might be the brand. Some people say that the one I used didn't work for them, but I really like it xxx

I used Eyelure eyelash tint fairly regularly, but not excessively over the years & was pleased with the results.
But now I’m in my late 50’s & I find that after tinting, I have a lot of lashes fall out afterwards for the next few days. So I haven’t used any tinting products for a couple of years now - it’s too scary to see the lashes fall out.
Just wondering if this is an age-related thing that anyone else has experienced? Any advice on how to overcome this problem?

Are you not meant to mix both products together and then put on the lashes like a box dye almost.

I dont really see any difference in my lashes when I do it and I find it quite fiddly. It's more noticeable with my eyebrows when I tint them. I only do it now and then 😊

  • @anniemellen9470

I think you have to mix the color and developer together in the little tray and apply it to your lashes. I don’t think the “color” can dye your lashes unless you mix it with the developer. That is how you dye your eyebrows and hair. I was surprised that you applied the “color”, then wiped it off, then applied the “developer.” I dye my eyebrows all the time and the instructions say to mix equal parts of color and developer together.

Hi I tint my brows at home, but haven't tried the lashes. I was always a bit chicken about it as I know the pain if the slightest bit of tint at a salon gets in your eye ouch. Having watched the video I may have a go though. I'll get the eyelure kit if i do. For my brows I use the lightest just for men beard kit - I only leave it on for 2 mins as I only want to darken them a little (I'm blonde) up to the shade one in benefit's gimme brow. When done at the salon they get right into the root and I'm unsure if I would manage that on my own, however my hands are fairly steady so maybe. Best wishes.

I never knew tinting your eyelashes was possible. I always dreamed of the possibility! Now, I'm going to run out and find the best option for me. I do wonder if there could be an allergic reaction.

@@satepestage3599 well, not exactly, but I did use castor oil daily for a few months. Definitely made my lashes grow!! Ended up going back to extensions. But the tint seemed to last pretty well. I don’t know how long until it would have totally worn off, but I touched it up about every week and a half. Probably could have gone longer but that was my habit.

I can't wear macacra because they said I have oily eyelashes which is weird because I have dry skin, I was wondering where would a person go to get this done professionally. I never done it myself. I been calling salon's and they don't offer it. I was reading online that your supposed to get a lash lift at the same time. I have long lashes, any suggestions?

If a mistake is made in touching skin, how can that be removed?

I’m gonna give it a go … can’t find a good tinter … they either drench my eye in die using to much die at once instead of doing it in layers! Or they are to unreliable and cancel appointments! Big London and there’s only 2 competent eyes lash tinters/beauty therapist around… ridiculous!
I’ve just had them done in a parlour! And again to much die on the brush for one layer… or they make the die up to thin one or the other! I def can do better myself… just my eye site isn’t to great… so fingers crossed 🙏
