~ham's simplified version~
There are two kingdoms/powers, vermillion(red) and blue. They have a long repeating history of war and dispute because this is how the gods (from the land of the mistletoe) set them up.
Present day, Miku leads the blue kingdom and Kaito leads the red. Rin and Len are good friends of them respectively, like their right hand people. Miku and Kaito declare a truce, deciding to marry for the sake of peace. During their wedding, Len and Rin sneaked off and met each other in the forest, and develop a quick love- er, friendship ;) But at the ceremony, an outside force murders Kaito, calling off the truce. Len returns to find his childhood friend dead, and he awakens the "red" power inside him, launching his power towards the blue kingdom. Miku knows that war has started again and lets Rin run free, and Rin inherits the power of the blue.

Technically Kaito was murdered by a “outside force”, so it wasn’t Miku’s fault. So Len just took out his anger on Miku, even though she didn’t do anything.

While I am inclined to agree with both you and Misakona Kayar, technically speaking, there was no evidence (other than the truth that she wasn't to blame) to support her innocence. Miku was the "only" known person there with Kaito. So it's actually normal for her to become the first suspect naturally: What criminated Miku was the fact we see her run away. To a young boy who is overwhelmed by grief and anger, this looks bad. "If you are not gulity don't run away from the crime scene" She could have stayed and consoled him, told him what really happened. I agree his action was callous. But Len didn't take his anger out on Miku, he just chose the wrong suspect. The most tragic thing will be if or when Len founds out he was wrong and he killed an innocent woman.

I thought Luka was the one who killed Katio. If you look in the video, Katio is killed by an arrow. The only character we see with a bow in the story is Luka. (At about 1:27) In a story like this, those who play a major role have detailed faces.) examples are...
Katio- king of red who tried to marry for peace and friend to one of the two protagonists.
Miku-queen of blue who tried to marry for peace and friend to other protagonist.
Rin- blue protagonist and friend to blue queen
Len- red protagonist and friend to blue king
Meiko (I think I spelled that right) - is the general for the red king and informs Len of Katio's death. (She was probably at the wedding if she told Len.
Luka- General to the blue queen, but is nowhere to be seen when the kingdom is under attack.
Anyway as a general Luka is paid to fight. Without the wars she is no longer necessary. (She loses her job) So with Katio's death she would just have to wait for something to come attack the blue kingdom that would reignite the wars. (She would still have a job.) Which is possibly why she does not defend the kingdom. (Or she got fired for stopping the peace. But when the blue queen dies, Rin, the new queen, might have to rehire her for war. Keep in mind Rin and Len were both absent from the wedding. They probably has no idea who killed Katio. )
Plus, if the GENERAL OF THE BLUE KINGDOM killed Katio, Len would have more of a reason to believe that the blue kingdom/ blue queen wanted him dead.
By the way, Len is a little reckless and quick to take action in the video. I could totally see him attacking the blue queen without thinking it through. Or Meiko honestly thought it was an order from the blue queen. ( Miku looked really upset/shocked when Katio was killed. I am sure she didn't want him dead.)
At least that's what I think, if any of you have other ideas that's totally fine and cool , this is what I like to think.
I think it adds a level of dramatic irony to the story. And if Luka actually was behind it, she would be a totally interesting villain. I can totally be wrong though.
I think it might be Gumi, if you look at the hairstyle in the video you can see it's nowhere close to Luka's. Also, it looks like a green/blonde color. Either Len and Rin have a triplet, or it's Gumi. That's my guess. I really like yours and maybe Gumi plays the god in the story, and like Rin and Len, maybe she was out somewhere doing something. But I really like the idea of Luka being the villain, but I think it'd be closer to Gumi maybe. Or Lula died in battle, maybe that's why we don't see her.

I think Rebecca was talking about who murdered Kaito, in which sense, with Luka being an archer, and assuming a blue soldier killing the Red King(Kaito), the dots all connect with Luka being Kaito's murderer. Gakupo appeared to be some sort of advisor to Kaito... Dunno where you got Gumi from, to be honest.

From what I see, Miku seems to notice the third party, but she just stood there?? Is there something about the ceremony that won't allowed her to call out? I think the assassin who killed Kaito in this song is Oliver.
For one, it's the one eye thing that got me going, I checked everywhere and didn't find any info about the assassin who killed Kaito, so I looked for cover pictures and saw the assassin hovering above all of them like a titan (I'm guessing to make it look cool, jk).
So, i'm pretty sure our little baby engloid, Oliver, played as the assassin here with my only proof being the one-eye only and red glowing eyes (I thought of it as his eye color in this game but taking it figuratively, I'm guessing it's more of a...something to emphasize a certain emotion.)

I like to think that miku loved Rin and Len loved Kaito. as they saw eachotehr they sensed a comraderie, which was true. but as anger awakens their power, once again they become warriors

Is this song related in any way to Soleil? The concept of bird people/ people with wings, and Len's outfit a little bit, kind of remind me of it. Like it could maybe be the same souls in different lifetimes. I mean, it would explain the tree Len saw at the end of Soleil if it was the Tree of Reincarnation.
I could be wrong, and they're totally unrelated, but they just seem like they could be part of the same overall story to me.

The blue kingdom did absolutely no wrong especially the Blue Queen (Miku) and the Maid (Rin) but I guess it was *PARTIALLY* Miku's fault because she didn't say anything because she was too scared of the arrow to kill the Red King (Kaito), but then that wasn't her fault also, but then she just ran away and left Kaito when he died, of course again that wasn't hee fault because she could do nothing. And Rin wasn't at fault also at this when Miku died and gave Rin her power to become a queen and she just unintentionally met Len and they just had fun together. So it's Len's fault? But then Len blamed himself because the king died because he wasn't there to guard him and blames Rin because he thought she was planned to be a distraction and blamed Miku because he thought Miku killed Kaito. So it's expected that he'd get mad but then who's *REALLY* at fault here?

Story:
Roughly 1000 years before now. The world was being governed by birds with the power of gods.
The place where the Kamidori (bird-gods) lived was a paradise in the heavens; Mistletoe. That is, it was an enormous lodging towering over the surrounding land.
The Kamidori kept and birthed the wishes and prayers of the earth’s humans in that lodging. Mankind’s first wishes were those of happiness. So, the gods harboring happiness birthed a bluebird. Thus, believing in the existence of these Kamidori, mankind offered up their prayers. Thereupon, at the mistletoe lodging, suddenly all the birds were assembled.
The Kamidori bestowed, upon the weaker beings living on the earth, their blessings and wishes in a form that had shape. The people called these wishes given form by the gods, “Elements.”
The Mistletoe tree was raised up and spread wide on the earth with “Human’s Piety towards the Gods” as nutrition. The lodging, from the very beginning, sucked up the pure wishes and delivered them to the Kamidori on the leaves in the far-off sky. The piety became food that kept the gods in existence. The Mistletoe tree, existing solely to tie together both humans and gods, continued the cycle of paradise beautifully.
Before long, time passed, the world’s population increased, and they welcomed an era of prosperity to the world. Receiving the various blessing from the gods, thirsting for even more “wishes”, unawares, mankind forgot its respect for the gods living in the heavens, and they became shamefully jealous and envious, and reached the point of wanting the power of the gods for themselves. The beautiful cycle of paradise began to crumble. Mankind stopped their faith, took weapons in hand, and began to reach their hands to the heavens. “God-hunting,” as it was called, widened the scope of mankind, and unfurled into a war between mankind and the gods.
In the face of the gods’ great power, mankind had no sort of technique at all.... and even that, they believed for only a brief time. At one point, the two most powerful gods in paradise had a breaking up. There was a trivial misunderstanding that had been born of their different ways of thinking, regarding the humans, and it further birthed a discord in their opinions on the existence of an interweaving world between gods and mankind.
The first bird of paradise, the bluebird who governed happiness, keeping faith that gods and humans could coexist, wished for a path of reconciliation. However, in regards to that wish, the scarlet phoenix who governed the endless cycle of destruction and rebirth raised an objection. The phoenix said, “It would be better if we were to completely destroy the humans that have come to despise the gods, and with their former purity, rebirth a new existence for all of them.” Both the quarreling birds, rejecting to concede to that option, began to doubt, persecute, and hate each other. In the meanwhile, the humans, who were steadily building their strength, began to defeat the weaker gods one by one. The Mistletoe tree had withered due to the drying up of mankind’s faith, and the birds, who had used it as food, began to weaken as well.
After a battle spanning a very long time, the birds who had lost the Mistletoe tree conceded defeat to the humans.
In this way, the Kamidori, along with paradise, fell to the corrupted earth. Having reduced the amount of Elements they had sent down to Earth, they had lost. The Kamidori’s souls gave up their human vessels, and now having fallen on the earth, they began to walk a new path. The influential leaders of the land all unanimously agreed eagerly that they should turn the gods who had become humans into companions of their own. By tying the gods’ blood to human royalty through mating, many kingdoms were born with the gods in the role of parents. Thus, the two birds who had discord... the grudge that had grown between the bluebird and the phoenix, still remaining after having fallen to the earth, caused them to split into two kingdoms: the kingdom of Blue Oak, ruled by the bluebird, and the kingdom of Guivermillion, ruled by the scarlet phoenix. Even after a thousand years, their dispute continues.

rin & len are not twins in this - i think someone said that rin and miku are sisters, and len and kaito are brothers, but i haven't read the novels. and yes, len and rin seem to be developing a relationship
the dude who killed kaito seems to be the "fate" that won't allow the two kingdoms to make peace
I think the story is something like this:
There are two kingdoms, Vermillion (Red) and Blue Oak (Blue). The two sides have always been at war because of the Gods of Mistletoe, the Bluebird and the Phoenix, whom have been fighting. At the time the song takes place, the rulers, Miku and Kaito have decided that to end the dispute, they would get married. Eventually, they the set out for the tree of Mistletoe and bring their heirs (?) with them.
During the ceremony, Len and Rin meet in a forest. The two bring to fall in love as they try to impress each other. They end up missing the ceremony because of that.
At the ceremony, both are happy to finally end the war. However, hiding in the shadows is a third party who intends to restart and lengthen the war. Miku sees them, but is to late to them from shooting Kaito in the back. This ultimately kills him.
Len eventually goes back to Vermillion's castle in good spirits, which is destroyed when he finds out his brother in all but name was murdered. Thinking it was all a set-up from the Blue Oak in order to kill Vermillion's leader, he becomes enraged and finally unleashes the Phoenix God's power. He turns it toward the Blue Oak castle, ready to destroy it.
Inside, Miku sees what is going on and declares Rin the new queen of Blue Oak and granting her the Bluebird God's powers. She sends Rin away and confronts Len. Len, when he sees his brother's killer, goes on a rampage and murders her in revenge. Rin watches from a distance and gains the bluebird's powers, rekindling the war once more.

angsty teen, in this story rin and Len are not related by blood and what happens is that the red King kiato and the blue queen miku were going to combine the too country's but in the end kiato gets killed then Len loses it and then kills miku then rin loses it. To be honest the story really is confusing. I think the story would make a really good anime what do you think?
So...anyone knows the ending? I remember vaguely there is a novel version of this, is there an ending in that? Cuz there are some pics I saw that looks like there's some more plot going on after this

haha you should get used to this type of plot from these creators. They're amazing but a music video can only convey so much.
most of their songs have light novels to go with it, though, so if you're patient and search on google a translation normally comes out.
