Plus there is so much background and lore to Clamps world, that makes it absolutely fascinating. OK OK so this series has no intellectually challenging parts to it, while certain episodes are amazing most are less entertaining than shonen filler, that being said the music makes it worth it. I would like to ask if you have seen all of Tsubasa Chronicles? So that would be Tsubasa Chronicles, Tsubasa Chronicles Season 2, Tsubasa Tokyo Revolution and Tsubasa Shunraiki. Series that tie into it are XXXHolic Season 1 and 2, Cardcaptor Sakura All Seasons, Blood-C the series and the Movie and Kobato the series. Won't be obvious at first, but it lets you know more about the way the magic works in the world and some major plot points. If you don't find it intellectually challenging, well its not meant to be, like a lot of series aren't generally intellectually challenging in my opinion. However I don't know if you know the background of this series and the other series that builds into it? Which is in my opinion intellectually challenging, as its hard to follow. If you do know the background, well then you have the opinion you have and I respect that I'm not trying to tell you your opinion is wrong, I'm just saying my opinion and trying to see what you know of the series so that there is a proper critique of the series. I believe you cannot really criticize much without knowing it completely first. I just hope this is insightful and I agree without these extra series helping it, it is mediocre as a series, but with great music.

Mad props to the visuals too and all the little details in it! Like the shards of glass and what that represents, the fact that the Syaoran in the mirror had a blue eye (and that he was the one in the mirror and not the other way around), the little effects like the sinking water and embers of fire, and showing all of their home worlds in the middle, or the fact that Sakura looks hesitant with the Syaoran in black because it isn’t the same one compared to the memory when they’re shown in white. Also, I appreciate the fact that you showed Fai in the lyrics “you who always will hide behind, a smile with your feelings locked inside” I’ve always felt that section fit Fai in this song. As well as showing Sakura during “though we go by different names, we are very much the same” was really clever because of her and Syaoran being similar in origin and what she says in Shunraiki. There is just a great attention to detail and care in this video!! Everything was just so stunning and perfect about this!
@@nadiaharis92 To make it as clear as possible first I'll explain how I'll refer to them The "Syaoran" in white is the clone, his real name being *Syaoran* The "Syaoran" in black is the original one, whose real name is *Tsubasa* Before the gang arrive in Tokyo the one they are traveling with is Syaoran. He's the one who grew up with Sakura and these two have mutual feelings for each other. After the twist in Tokyo, Tsubasa breaks free and Syaoran leaves the party in order to get the feathers on his own, thus Tsubasa replaces him and now he's the one traveling with the gang. The reason Sakura seems worried/hesitant with Tsubasa (dressed in black) it's because that's not the person she grew up with and loves, while when she's with Syaoran (dressed in white) she's content. Hope that explains it

Tsubasa will be one of my most favorite mangas ever, being my gateway into anime. Where the first anime failed to express what the manga did, the music was so phenomenal it left such impact in me. This made me cry from nostalgia and how much I'll always love this story. Thank you for this.

TSUBASA?! YES PLEASE. I had my issues with the anime, but the music was absolutely amazing. And this cover? I LOVE IT. I was almost tearing up. Also those visuals were absolutely fantastic... All those details...

@@aidab93I had the exact opposite reaction when reading the manga. I thought Fai’s past was too over the top that it made me feel more frustrated than sad. Kurogane’s past is what made me sad.
You have truly surpassed my expectations you not only sang my favorite song perfectly but you made it even better. I love the work have been doing up till now keep it up.
I'm so glad people haven't forgotten about this series. ❤ It was always my favorite growing up, and still love it to this day. CLAMP's style of art and storytelling had a major impact on me as a kid, and these characters remain some of the most compelling I've seen in any series to date. I wish it was given the recognition and anime adaption it deserves, although at least we have the OVAs. This cover (which I found out about through 星屑Celes' AMV, btw) is so beautifully done - I get CHILLS @1:55 when A Song of Storm and Fire starts playing. The vocals are gorgeous, the translation is very smooth, and the art/visuals are equally beautiful! (I also love the matching of the visuals to the lyrics, especially when it cuts to Fay for the lines "You who always will hide behind / A smile with your feelings locked up inside") This is definitely one I'm going to be revisiting often. Thank you for making this!

I found out about this show from this video, and after watching most of it, I have to say it really deserves to be rebooted, so they can finish the story.
My favorite OVA set for a series ever. I always thought Tsubasa was a kids show, but enjoyable... but... Then I saw Tokyo Revelations and my jaw was agape almost constantly. It was so good!
I was excited when I read the title but now... I'm moved, my spirits lifted and beads of happy tears form in the corners of my eyes. That may sound like a flowery exaggeration but Tsubasa was one of my earliest anime ever (excluding Pokemon). Introduced to me by a friend it opened me up to the wonders the medium could offer. I can't say its my favorite, probably not even top 25, but it was pivotal in getting me into anime and as such has been partially responsible for the person I am today. Thank you for this cover, and all your covers, that does a great justice to the original work and the fandom of anime in the west.

Omg I started reading Tsubasa around January this year and fell in love with it. It took me FOREVER to be able to watch the anime but I watched the OVAs and fell in love with this song. I was surprised when I found that you made an english version of this song. I love love love this! I’m always listening to it and watching the video because I absolutely love the animation in it. One question though, the animation shows two different versions of Syaoran holding Sakura. A black one and a white one. The white one shows them being happy in each others arms. The black one shows something more melancholy. I feel like in the black one, it should be the copy Syaoran with the blue and amber eye. Just saying but I still love this video

I had my issues with the anime, but the music was absolutely amazing. And this cover? I LOVE IT. I was almost tearing up. Also those visuals were absolutely fantastic... All those details...
I wasn't expecting the japanese part! It was simply wonderful! Compliments to the artist for the art. I simply loved this series. I was glued to the manga the whole time, from the start to the end.

Lovely. Tsubasa is the one anime i really wish they would make more of. it is my all time favorite anime, and the one series that made me fall hard into anime when i was introduced into the fandom. The song of the Storm and Fire part gave me chills, this video gave me so much nostalgia and its good to see the comments full of other Tsubasa fans, since they are often hard to come by.
I love this. My favorite characters in particular are Fai and Kurogane! Those two are so awesome and cute! I would also like to see the art here posted, I love it. It's beautiful. I especially love how you did Fai and Kurogane, two of my top favorite characters.

@@aidab93I had the exact opposite reaction when reading the manga. I thought Fai’s past was too over the top that it made me feel more frustrated than sad. Kurogane’s past is what made me sad.

It was always my favorite growing up, and still love it to this day. CLAMP's style of art and storytelling had a major impact on me as a kid, and these characters remain some of the most compelling I've seen in any series to date. I wish it was given the recognition and anime adaption it deserves, although at least we have the OVAs.
This cover (which I found out about through 星屑Celes' AMV, btw) is so beautifully done - I get CHILLS @1:55 when A Song of Storm and Fire starts playing. The vocals are gorgeous, the translation is very smooth, and the art/visuals are equally beautiful! (I also love the matching of the visuals to the lyrics, especially when it cuts to Fay for the lines "You who always will hide behind / A smile with your feelings locked up inside")

I found out about this show from this video, and after watching most of it, I have to say it really deserves to be rebooted, so they can finish the story.
My favorite OVA set for a series ever. I always thought Tsubasa was a kids show, but enjoyable... but... Then I saw Tokyo Revelations and my jaw was agape almost constantly. It was so good!
I was excited when I read the title but now...
I'm moved, my spirits lifted and beads of happy tears form in the corners of my eyes.
That may sound like a flowery exaggeration but Tsubasa was one of my earliest anime ever (excluding Pokemon). Introduced to me by a friend it opened me up to the wonders the medium could offer. I can't say its my favorite, probably not even top 25, but it was pivotal in getting me into anime and as such has been partially responsible for the person I am today.
Thank you for this cover, and all your covers, that does a great justice to the original work and the fandom of anime in the west.

Omg I started reading Tsubasa around January this year and fell in love with it. It took me FOREVER to be able to watch the anime but I watched the OVAs and fell in love with this song. I was surprised when I found that you made an english version of this song. I love love love this! I’m always listening to it and watching the video because I absolutely love the animation in it. One question though, the animation shows two different versions of Syaoran holding Sakura. A black one and a white one. The white one shows them being happy in each others arms. The black one shows something more melancholy. I feel like in the black one, it should be the copy Syaoran with the blue and amber eye. Just saying but I still love this video
