D.N.Angel was the first manga I ever read. To this day, after many years, I still remember its charm and beauty and continue being bitter about it never being finished. I hope that someone will one day complete it.

It's been very recently announced on Asuka (the magazine that publishes it) that D·N·Angel will return! The mangaka also tweeted a new image of Daisuke with a text "coming soon".
The manga that got me to look beyond the standard shounen stuff. The first manga that got me to look up and watch the anime version. One of the few anime openings I rarely skip, even when rewatching. One of the very few anime I have ever rewatched in fact. And probably a huge reason why I still occasionally read shojou manga as a 22 year old dude.

This particular song, not just your version... It saved my life... No freaking joke, no edge, none of that. The very heartfelt meaning of this song is what saved my friggin life. That should say something about how important the message it delivers is. That no matter how bleak it is, how painful it is... It can be a catalyst for growth. A desire to aspire to a greater height. That good and evil, dark and light... They're just names we ascribe to concepts we can just barely grasp. But it takes much more to truly adopt both sides, to walk that line. Two sides of the same coin. part of a greater whole. My despair, while still it comes out from time to time, will not conquer. I will break through the false happiness, and I will break through what seems to be a veil of darkness. For what lies beyond them both is the true self. THAT is what saved me.

This was very good and I liked it a lot :) The vocals, translation, and production value are great My only problem is that the instrumentals/audio mixing aren't the same as the original... like, I miss the little gong/bell and percussion/drum accents that used to go after parts like 0:52 and 1:17

I loved this. Finally a full English version. There are other ones which leads me to say what about the other version of the lyrics? I loved those lyrics I grew up with those lyrics I didn’t know these. Maybe is was a different translation? I don’t know but I know there is a cover of that but it’s different to this? just hit me, this song is sort of a metaphor for life, when we're born we're all good, we've never had experiences to make us bad, but as we grow we are forced to go through many obstacle's which change and shape us into the people we become. It's ultimately how we take the suffering thrown our way by life that determines whether the 'light' or 'good' is true or 'painted/fake'.

It's so nostalgic. You had improvised a lot in this song. This song originally has the sense of sadness. But with the music and all you improved to more catchy and brighter although the lyrics portrayed just like the original meaning. Thanks and well done.

Yes! DN Angel will always hold a special place in my heart as the 'first anime' I ever truly watched. Its opening theme is one of my favorites and you certainly did it justice! Wasn't expecting the vocalizations you do after the chorus, but they're great!)

Oh my god, talk about nostalgia!! I used to love this anime, I even did a school project based on this song when I was in middle school.
I loved this. Finally a full English version. There are other ones which leads me to say what about the other version of the lyrics? I loved those lyrics I grew up with those lyrics I didn’t know these. Maybe is was a different translation? I don’t know but I know there is a cover of that but it’s different to this? Is this the original? Because this would be my second favorite because the other lyrics are more full/ beefy and speak to me. Not that these don’t it’s just I know and am used to the other lyrics...

just hit me, this song is sort of a metaphor for life, when we're born we're all good, we've never had experiences to make us bad, but as we grow we are forced to go through many obstacle's which change and shape us into the people we become. It's ultimately how we take the suffering thrown our way by life that determines whether the 'light' or 'good' is true or 'painted/fake'.
Now I feel wistful for my childhood. Tokyopop why'd you go bankrupt? Never shall my volumes of DNAngel be completed.
