I loved the Grammys performance... their Dynamite Grammy performance was good albeit they had to send a prerecorded video due to the pandemic.
I discovered BTS just as this song came out in the pandemic era. In my early 60s, I had been dismissing BTS as just "some boy band." But then I saw a commercial for the new "Galaxy" phone and was intrigued by the song "Life Goes ON" playing in the background. I looked up BTS and became absolutely enamored of their talent, their depth, their personalities, their everything. As a retired newspaper editor, I quickly learned everything I could about them and at this point know more about them than I know about some people I see every day!!! It's like that with BTS! Every once in a while an artist comes along that transcends genre and age and all other demographics. BTS is one of those artists. That they are as huge as they are with most of their songs performed in Korean speaks volumes about their magic. Thanks for reacting to them! Your responses are intelligent and articulate! Much appreciated!

You could very easily have been describing my own experience falling in love with BTS! It’s much more than their songs, it is them as people, them as a BTS family, and the genuine love for their fans.

You know that Dynamite was a homage to Michael Jacksson, Taj jacksson thank Bts for this for his uncle. And Jimin and Jungkook do a dance to Black and White
Check their MAMA, AMA, GRAMMY, BILLBOARD performances. It's not just their talents and good looks that we love but their character. They remained to be very humble, passionate, dedicated, supportive, compassionate, loving, caring, raw and genuine. No words can ever describe how beautiful human beings they are. I'm so glad to stan Bangtan. BTS will forever be my home! 💜

I think that was computerized a bit too but Jimin is one out of a few people that can actually hit an A5 though, live and on recordings.

You gotta see when they preformed this live at the Grammies (nominated 5 times for, haven't won yet, controversy theories abound) but you gotta see that version! It's so cool! They added a laser acrobatic scene and a fancy jacket trick, JK comes down from the ceiling, Jin just had surgery on his hand, so he's at the "control booth" so to speak . . . Famous people groving in the audience including Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, Usher, Drake . . . You gotta see it!!!
In the my Universe documentary you see them work together on the harmonies with Chris Martin in the studio. Earrings are Jimin thing. He is the global face of Tiffany's. Also, butter on the Grammy's is the best performance. Standing O for them
I love the beat of the beat of this as it gives me queen vibes.
It's so so cute and such a beautiful song and it's also got that sexy vibe to it aswell.
I couldn't stop smiling at it as the song is so catchy and I now have the chorus stuck in my head.
The vocals are amazing and the raps omg I love then so much.
And omg the styles are amazing they look amazing in what wver they wear.
The MV itself is amazing as ever and the choreo is on point like always.

Must watch “crystal snow.” Jin hitting 3 high notes (Eb5, F5, G5)! Jimin on “let me know” is amazing as well! Another song for the vocal line (Jin, Jimin, v, Jungkook) “truth untold” is mind blowing!

Adlibs and harmonizing is part of BTS charm and they do it perfectly specially our main vocalist Jungkook 💜and the high notes of jin, jimin and Jungkook are just crazy 😭💜💜
The very high bit you heard in the bridge was a whale whistle (I would say generated, yes! 😊) that is a callback to one of their songs, called Whalien 52, which is a song about loneliness and isolation, like a particular whale species that sing at a frequency that can only be heard by another of the same species. The whale has also come to symbolise ARMY-so having the whale whistle at the point where the guys spell out army with their bodies, and RM raps “Got ARMY right behind us when we say so” is apt! The whale motif also popped up in the song We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal, and if you listen in Butter right after the whale whistle in the bridge, in the final chorus, you’ll hear a repeating vocal pattern back in the mix that is kinda similar to the vocal melody at the beginning of We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal.
Harmonies seem to come naturally for Jungkook and they often use him for the stacked harmonies. Others can harmonize too so I'm not sure who it was on this song. There are so many great versions of this song. You should check out the performance at the Grammy's and the Behind the Scenes video, too. They got a standing ovation! 💜💜

I second the dance break for Dynamite at the 2020 MMA. I loved MJ too growing up and when I saw that I was like MJ would have liked them. lol. They definitely paid homage with the dance break and outfits. It was really good. Suga (one of the rappers) was missing as he had a shoulder injury so that's why you would see 6 of them if you ever watch it. Thanks for your reaction!!!
Yea those high notes were by Jimin. Its very obvious during the live performances. Check out the Grammy's performance of Butter, one of the best Grammys performance ever. You'll understand why after seeing it. Haha

There's a version of Butter (Hotter Remix) with an official released MV which is HILARIOUS. I wouldn't say i love the actual remix, but the MV is basically an entire blooper reel of them filming this Butter MV.
Thoroughly recommend to get to know some of the guys personalities.
They told the Jackson family this was in honour to Michael.

Butter was an international hit. At their last Festa (Annual celebration or anniversary of BTS) RM (Namjoon) mentionned that at that point he felt like a machine writing lyrics that did not resonate with who he was as an artist. Suga (Agust D, Yoongi) agreed.namjoon wrote so many of BTS songs and was the most fluent in English. When they toured and did interviews much of the burden of translating for each member fell to him. Now they are all learning English, but early on, it was all on Namjoon to write and translate.
The one little vocal riff you were questioning towards the end was a generated vocal. It's the same one used in Jins solo song to his pet sugar glider after it passed away.

The Hotter remix MV is definitely worth checking out. They included a sax in that version. If you do watch it you need to watch the members in the background!

When it was announced there would be a “Hotter” remix and video being dropped, chaos ensued in the fandom and all kinds of ideas began circulating what it could be. We felt played in the best way that it was them just being the hams the are 😂

You really want to know their persistent professionalism? Check out their Grammy performance doing this. Did they have it easy??. Well, Jin broke his hand and had surgery, J hope was stuck in Korea with covid, and didn’t get to the States until the day before the Grammys, Jk got to the states and got covid (they were here early, because they were getting ready for 4 nights of sold out concerts at SoFi). So …. They only had one day to practice that choreography together! Jk didn’t get out of quarantine until the day before the Grammys. You want to see some choreo that will blow your mind? They also have a few remix versions of Butter- Hotter Remix and Cooler Remix. The instrumental is a bit different and the video shows the guys just having a good time. It’s fun to watch. If you watch Hotter, you really need to focus more on what is happening in the background. 😂
