fyi... front sprocket is easier and cheaper but going smaller in the front will wear chains out quicker. best bet is to go up in the rear for long term results. also don't cheap out on chains, makes a big difference in the life... i suggest D.I.D.
I did the same as this with my Honda XR 250 back in the day. I changed the front sprocket to One With Two Less teeth and it turned the XR250 from a bit of a slug into an absolute Beast on the trails and climbing Hills. I think I lost about 10 kph off the top speed but that didn't bother me at all because I only used it on trails and never got anywhere near the top speed anyway
I have 2000 drz400 non electric start model with 14/49 and a yoshimura rs3, keihin flatslide mx 160 main jet, stage 2 hot cams, and 3x3 mod it goes pretty hard, but my ktm 400exc eats it in both acceleration and top speed
😎🤙🤙 sup homie! DRZs have their power down low in the gear, once revved up, they don't pull as hard. in short, use the beginning of the gear to pull it up.
Ayeeeee! It’s been awhile 🤙🏼 Yeah I guess I’m used to the mt07 just pops up whenever I want it to lol. This bike makes me work for it haha. I just have to figure her out.
@@therealrealshocker i've been riding the shit out of my Onewheels. lol it's all i want to do any more. yeah i went through the same thing... all the torque is at the bottom of the gear where most bikes would stall if you tried to pop it up. you'll get the feel for it in no time. also the gear runs out pretty quick with that gearing. practice changing gears before it runs out. it's not as jerky as some bikes can be. and of course you know, always cover that foot brake. ;-)
Onewheels look fun. Staying on "one wheel" I see lol. Some things don't change too much 😂 Thanks for the tips. That makes sense. Today I went back to that spot and practiced some more wheelies. 2nd definitely seems easier to control. I had several good ones today. And about shifting while in a wheelie...how do I know when is the best time to shift? Right away or at the peak? Do I use the clutch lever or just the foot???

Yup. Very true about the chain wear. In the past I’ve only bought x ring DID chains. I’ve had good experiences with them. Zero issues.
***update*** installed a 44Tooth rear and swapped back to the oem 15Tooth up front. Going to test it out soon hopefully tomorrow 🤞

That's awesome and I bet it was fun too! It really does change the bike completely
