I will say it again. I am quite impressed with the overall friendliness and tidiness of that scrapyard. That makes for lower insurance rates, I bet, and happier buyers because their items are likely sorted carefully by ore type, etc. And, it all demonstrates self- and mutual-respect. Good job! Up here in Minnesota we use the Trident Spear for spear fishing! We set up our spear fishing tent and chainsaw a four foot by six foot hole. The tent is dark inside and heated to keep any ice from freezing over the hole. Big Northerns, Muskie, and Walleye can put up a big fight. The spear can take the fight away. Plus the spear handle is six foot long and tied off with a rope like the magnet. Great fun for us Northern folk!
What a great day magnet fishing. A few great finds. The “trident” looks like a frog gigger. Quite a bit in your truck! That took a hot minute to unload.
Wow, magnet fishing can be dangerous. I have a friend who is in his late 40's and he magnet fishes. Last week he was out fishing in a small creek and a guy drove up and inquired about whether he was recovering lures and jigs. My friend said he had recovered about 55 lures from last year and had found 3 that day. The inqirerer offered $50.00 for all of them. My friend doesn't fish other than with a magnet, so he said sure. Walked back to his car and pulled a small cardboard box out with the lures in it and handed it over. The buyer reached behind him and pulled a pistol on my friend. He took the lures as well as my friend's wallet, wedding band, watch, and all his magnet fishing equipment and cellphone. He didn't want his car. My friend managed to retain his driver's license but that was it. The guy drove off then. My friend was so shook up that he didn't get the license plate number. He was glad that he wasn't shot over lures. He did report this to the county police. They took the report but advised him to take someone else along with him to be a lookout. I volunteered to go with him next fishing time. I'm retired and have the time. Situational awareness goes a long way. But 2 guys can also be robbed too. My friend has always been opposed to firearms but not anymore. He asked me to take him to range and show him the difference between .22, .38, and .45 semiautomatic pistols. My .38 is a revolver. Teach me to magnet fish and I'll teach him to shoot.
Another fun one, but, you scare this Mama walking the ledge! Do you think some of the finds, come from storms, such as tornadoes and floods. Son lives on old farm property we lived when he was a kid, next to the dragoon river in Kansas. I think it might be interesting to see what is in there from the floods we had years back. Might find a treasure, he had as a kid. 🤣
Another fun video! The scale was jumping between 6980 and 6960, mostly at 6960 when you drove in. It was a solid 6060 after you unloaded, so right at 900 pounds. That works out to $12 per 100 pounds. Not bad pay for something you enjoy doing!
I was nervous when you climbed up on the ledge. Please don’t fall in and at least wear some kind of flotation device. Need you to stay safe and make more videos. Nobody magnet fishes better than you.
Great video, that was a frog gigger and a tower fan was the odd thing you brought up. The only thing metal is the motor housing. Also I wished I could unload my truck that fast!
14:00 The Ronson multi fuel is for natural gas lighters (for cigarettes). I haven't see one of those in nearly 50 years. The Ronson can refueled the lighters like refilling air in a car tire.
Great video! I also love the scrapyard part. I do also collect scrap metal, mostly iron, copper, aluminum and brass and take it to the scrapyard once a year. And always get a decent amount of money. Keep up doing your magnet disband producing your very interesting videos. Best wishes from a German scrap metal collector
At 3:55 if it wasn’t for the arrowhead on the middle prong, I’d have thought it was a garden fork. Perhaps it’d be too thin, though. Could be from the top of a barred fence?
The 3 pronged tool looks like a garden tool. They make short ones with a curve for flower gardens. Long ones are straight for staying in standing position.
Great finds today Tyler. The last thing you found was an empty canister of lighter fluid. Awesome haul to the scrap yard. Have a great day my friend ❤😊
Nice bench press bar find! I think you can sell that one on marketplace instead of scrapping for a few cents per lb! Amazing that your magnet could pull that up. Boy you work fast at the scrap yard! Lol Cheers from Chicago
6980 when you went on the scales and 6060 when you came back so 920 pounds of scrap! You know a lot of other magnet fishers don't even keep their scrap, they just leave it by dumpsters or whatever and that is crazy! Literally free community service without getting any gas money back or anything! I believe saving it and selling is definitely the way to go!
Great video. I would do a couple of changes. 1. put a carabineer on the other end to make it easier to tie off. Also, then if you ever have to make the rope longer you just attach another one. 2. For your air pods there are these silicone covers, they will stay in your ears much better. Also to go with those covers are ones that have string that go around your neck like a necklace.
