    When I was a kid growing up in early 70s, I remember seeing those aspirin tins at the checkout counter at grocery stores. This was before Walmart came in the picture. So those are a fond memory for me and a bygone era. Thanks for sharing.

    That thing you called a shower head is actually an electrical weatherhead for overhead electrical lines where it transitions from electrical lines into a building.

    Omg, you dragging across the rocks made my stomach turn every time!! We lost 2 $500 magnets and its the worst feeling😭
    I never drag across rocks anymore, straight down or middle of the canal...train bridges are the best!! You are the original inspo for our magnet fishing hobby! Thank you for that!

      I almost lost my 360 degree magnet... Lol luckily i was able to attach my grappling hook rope to it and throw it across the river and my brother pulled it from the other side lol ill be upgrading to the Magnetar Megacube soon and I'm definitely going to be more careful with it because of how expensive it is

    You and Alex are lucky to be friends with Sawdust Magnets! They do have the equipment and expertise to retrieve your magnets stuck in the rocks 🪨
    I think the big heavy boxes were a sewer grate. Now with your store set up you truly can say Cha Ching 💵when you snag those railroad spikes! Cheers from a Chicago fan! 🎉

    Tell Alex those are tailoring shears. Also, remember that the draw bridge exists to allow large boats to go under and so may well be pretty deep.

    Every two or three videos or so, I see the black and red Canadian National train engine go by. Sometimes, it has one for BNSF. We refurbish the turbochargers where I work. Still waiting for you to pull up something from one of them so I can tell you exactly what it is.

      I don’t think so, Ty had a bad experience with a come-a-long in the past.     The pipe (conduit) with the holes is called a "Peckerhead". It's for exterior electric power to a building.
    If you speak PC, it's a weather head.

    Those large scissors were and are used by dress makers.
    When a lady I know came to the house to customize my daughters wedding dress.She pulled out some that were that size.
    I have seen nothing like that before.

    Yout shower head is actually called a weather head. It goes on top of the conduit where wires for your electric meter come in.

      I just use Google. Most of the things I find has some version of it being sold on eBay so I usually use eBay for price references

    Holy cow! b$20 for a railroad plate? crap, I took musta been 15 of thoise to a scrapyard along with other scrap and only got 13 bux for everything... I mighty have to start ebay selling those babies

    they ran electricity from the house to the electric pole..

    QUESTION ..... Does your waders keep you warm even being in that cold water? Cuz I just bought ' Hisea" brand of Waders but haven't tested them yet just curious how good they actually worked

    I found a stuck rope one day while mf. I tried everything even come-a-longs. In the end I tied a rope to it. Crossed the trestle and cha ching, free grapling hook.
