The tone of the game jumps between dark and gritty and trying to be comical and silly. The character models are downright ugly. Link has absolutely no expression on his face for the whole game. Ganondorf gets shoehorned in as the final boss. The...."platforming".... sections. Midna is a very annoying companion who is actually the main character of rhe game and spoils every single puzzle solution that you come across. No magic. The most forgettable music. I could definitely name more, but I actually haven't beaten it. I quit about the Lakebed Temple every time.
@@hisnameisjohn4602 Yeah I'm not a fan of how Vah Naboris has a very clever puzzle to get to the upper section but it can just be completely skipped with Revali's Gale. They should've disabled champion abilities in Divine Beasts just like they did with shrines.
@@hisnameisjohn4602 I agree but I’d say the only counter I have to that is if you use glitches to get through the shrines you’re just ruining the experience yourself (especially applicable if you look the glitches up and didn’t discover it yourself)
@@seankuchenbecker5436 yeah but then the most disappointing let down would be that you'd only have a few days to get it and never again making the original let down valid
I wouldn’t say Demise was a last minute appearance. The game talked about him throughout the entirety of the run time and how bad it would be if he escaped.
Yeah ghirahim constantly refers to his master and how he is trying to revive him throughout the game. It wasn’t a shocking detail in the slightest. Zant, however, would’ve been a surprise if Ganon wasn’t the big bad if pretty much “every” Zelda game
Twilight Princess' opening isn't really supposed to build intrigue, it's supposed to get you into Link's daily life and build a bit of a rapport with the people he loves before ripping it all away from you.
I don’t think so, tp is an example of what not to do when writing a story, the opening of these ways have to be slow, introducing the stories and the characters so you can recognize what they are, a good example is majora’s mask, where there is nothing but a kid with his horse walking through a dead forest just after telling you that left his place between legends to search for an old friend (or maybe himself), in tp they throw you directly to a conversation about hyrule without who this people are, what is hyrule, why are they in a lake etc. You are confusing the player af and even more when the game tries to force you love the characters with sad music without you barely know them, it’s like the opening of a novel, in a game things work different.
@@ricky.t.1658 It can work many ways in games, including this way. Majora's Mask is about you getting dropped in a weird place and slowly getting attached to it while you try and save it, so it starts abruptly. Twilight Princess is about you being an established person with ties to the place you are trying to save, which is why it takes the time to introduce what his normal life was like before things started going to hell, alá Kingdom Hearts 2, so you can see what he's trying to save/regain. Also, they first out explain what Hyrule is in that conversation, which is the beginning of the opening section rather than the entirety of the opening (which I'm defining as the portion before you meet Midna and truly start your journey), and the identity of those people are quickly answered early on in that section. Plus, that intro music, while slow and contemplative, seems to be intended to be happy and pastoral rather than sad, considering lilting notes.
@@lnsflare1 that's not what I try to say, I like too that the game begins slowly, my major problem is with the begining of the opening, it's very abrupted and really confusing, without no entering scene, dropping you all the info without major contemplation from a guy you don't know, the thing with the music is that it gets super dramatic and emotional when you see ilia for the first time, which doesn't let the player breath for a second
@@ricky.t.1658 Yes, the story doesn't feel obligated to go "Link sat down and had a chat with his sword teacher/adopted brother figure Rusl," because it trusts the audience of the first T rated Zelda game to have sufficient comprehension to figure out that this is someone who Link is close to from context clues in that scene, and see inject permanent then figure out his identity when you talk with him a few minutes later. There's also no music the first time you see Ilia, which is when she steals Epona, and the theme when you see her shortly thereafter is a quick snippet of a during version of her theme, which is an mellowly upbeat rendition of the classic Epona's Theme, which you immediately have to play on the horse grass right next to you, telling you that she's a horse girl.
All of these disappointments were not really disappointments for most of us. The only one for me would be hetsu's tbh. Twilight princess and botw are my favorites. The only other disappointment for me is the timeline for the games. I mean the fact that it's not in order.
Zant is what I'd consider to be Good subversion, especially when you understand the game is Midna's (the Twilight Princess). Her journey and potential corruption from Power (which banished her ancestors to an alternate dimension) mirrors Zant losing himself completely. He is an utter fraud and a Slave to Power at the end of the day, along with Ganondorf. Midna however, sacrifices herself for Link, Zelda, and the Light world which she initially hated. She was selfless while Zant was selfish and that is reflected by Zant being tossed aside for the true Villain.
And what makes Ganondorf worthy of being the True Villain? Is he not selfish? The Entity whose sole existence is to possess the Triforce of power and then obtain the other two is not considered a slave to power?
To me, the biggest letdown is the fact that you can’t do anything after you finish the games. You go back to the start and the save file you we’re playing is still on you last save. It doesn’t even tell you that you finished the game.
Skyward Sword, when you finally get to go back in time for real (not counting Larynu time orb things - those were my favorite part of the game) at the temple of time, and then (spoiler alert), YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING WHEN YOU GET THERE! YOU CAN'T EVEN LEAVE THE TEMPLE AT ALL FOR NO APPARENT REASON
That’s because of how the game works, it’s not an open world game, if you could leave the temple in the past the skies whould really have interesting quests too, the game serves completely to the storyline, it’s more like a tale than a legend
Man... Just noticed once more how much I need a Twilight princess remake on switch. Loved that game so much and would really love to give it another try with contemporary graphics.
the one time i was very disappointed in a Zelda game was Breath of the Wild's Dark Beast Ganon, i was hoping Ganon would reveal his Ganondorf form after he was in beast form like in Twilight Princess but then i saw that the game just ends after you beat dark beast and... yea it just didnt feel like a challenge at all
The dissapintment would have been Ganondorf appearing from nowhere to fight you with swords, HE IS NOT GANONDORF, HE IS GANON, THEY ARE DIFERENT THINGS FUCK, Ganondorf died many years ago and making him come would be dooming the serie to an eternal loop of no evolution since oot, I love the final battle of botw because it represents the essence of the game, you get the freedom to move around with your horse while you defeat the last consecuences of that curse’s existance, in the plain of hyrule letting you see all the things you’ve visited through out the game, making you remenber why you are here, bringing back life to the world you once failed to save, it’s brilliant how the game gives you the sensation of ruins promising to come back one day in this last scenario. I repeat, Ganondorf is NEVER insinuated and him coming back would literally destroy the game as it would how, it doesn’t matter how hard Nintendo tries, they will never get over oot’s shadow. BOTW is a promise of change, evolution, increase and adaptation to a new world perspective. If a human shaped Ganon appears again it mustn’t be Ganondorf, Ganondorf is in the past, leave him go…
10: Hestu reward for all korok seeds 9: Links Awakening 8th boss (many people would pick the angler fish, but to me hothead is worse) 8: Learning you still havent gone through the last run through PH temple of the ocean king 7: Wind Waker earth and wind temples bosses 6: Chancelor Cole revealed as a demon too early in ST 5: No loftwing air battles against bokoblin loftwing riders in SS 4: BotW final boss 3: Khogha being a comic relief 2: BotW dungeons Dishonorable mentions: -Magic armor in TP -Denial of picture in the ww figurine sidequest -little to no monsters in the divine beasts 1: Any watchmojo video about Zelda
@@ktwenter77 It will goro Nintendo always pays attention to feedbacks and 4 years later, BotW dungeons remain one of the loudest critisism in the series history goro
I think the twilight princess story is fantastic from start to finish and the narrative structure is near perfect. The beginning gives us a real chance to see link’s life. It gives him and the characters a third dimension. Ganon doesn’t come out of nowhere at the end. He’s hinted at early on and is confirmed at the end of the 4th dungeon which is about halfway through the game. He’s a looming figure behind the scenes that you know is coming at some point, but not before helping midna wrap up her story with zant in the twilight realm.
The villain swap is also poorly done, they build up a great, impressive and dominant villain just to realize they don’t have time to give him a good close so in the battle against him, he is literally humiliated by Midna and Link, he literally splodes like a ballom and a comical noise is heard while it happens once midna finishes him, it’s so obvious the writers just wanted to bring back Ganon for the fan service so hard they forgot they already had a villain so they said “mmm… well who cares *unvillains your Zant, makes him a comic relief*”… One thing I like tho is how they introduce Ganondorf, as you said, you always know he is hiding and soon he will come, to only appear at the end of the game they manage to evoque the sensation of evil all around his presence. Although, a lot of this comes from the work in the other games, the build up in them makes him recognizable even if you haven’t worked a lot on him. TP is far away from having a perfect storyline.
I actually really like the Triforce hunt. I'm not a fan of all the rupee grinding in the gamecube version, but in the HD version I think the Triforce quest is great because they got rid of most of that. The best part about Wind Waker in my opinion is exploring all the different islands, and that's exactly what the Triforce Quest is all about
Zant was such an awesome villain, he was introduced so foreboding and menacing. I don't know why I didn't mind it that he turned out to be a weird whiny crybaby, I still loved his fight
@@ricky.t.1658 I'm sorry, but I'm not sure if you mean me or somebody else. In no way am I leaving a silly message. As for respect, Zant would have somebody like me killed. I respect the person who wrote his character, but not the character.
@@TheAlibabatree yes, sadly. That's what made the triforce quest a worthy endeavour, you actually had to stop and think for a while and use your available resources
Personally never has a problem with skyward sword's sky more of the speed of the loftwing that bothered me I wished they made an item in skyward sword HD that made the bird faster like in windwaker HD
I didn’t care that Zant was overshadow by Ganondorft, but I was expecting a good villain like when he was introduced intimidating and powerful we at the end get a kid making a huff.
The skyward sword twist with ghirahim and demise was one of my favorites, and I remember being completely caught off guard playing twilight princess on gamecube as a pre teen and finding out Ganondorf was using Zant as a puppet, however when Windwaker pulled that triforce crap at the end I stopped playing and never finished it to this day lol
TP is my favorite game of all time. Personally I love the opening. We see link is just a farm boy. And ganondorf taking over after zant I think shows how naive zant was towards power. I’d say the most disappointing part of TP is curing Ilia’s memory. You just get the horse call, that’s it. Granted you get access to the hidden village which has a great theme but not much else than 20 cats
I loved the Triforce quest in WW, it made me sail and explore the great sea, which inspired me to become a traveler as an adult. I think ítems breaking in BoTW and SS are the worst thing they could've done to a Zelda game. If I wanted shit to break, I'd just do real life lol.
It was dumb in SS because it didn’t serve a design purpose. In Botw, there are very good design reasons for it. Doesnt mean everyone has to enjoy it, but it was implemented well.
I didn’t like the triforce quest, although it’s not as HARD and HORRIBLE as some people proclaim it is, it’s a reminder that there where a lot of great temple we didn’t get to see because they wanted to sell the game as soon as posible, let’s be honest, WW temples are fucking garbage with counted exceptions, it’s so evident the true temples were gonna be god tier and they were gonna include the triforce pieces but because of time they had to create that shitty quest instead and they reused the ideas for those temple in TP. Also, I don’t remember SS having breakable weapons but in botw they are that way because of the open world nature of the game, there are tons of weapons and making them imposible to break would make the game super super easy, not influencing the player to explore for new weapons etc.
It was also pretty underwhelming when they released WW instead of the photorealistic game they showcased in Spaceworld 2000. Don't get me wrong, I love WW, but that other game looked awesome.
I’ve been around the zelda community for quite some time. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of that. Do you have any sort of link to the spaceworld footage?
Ghirahim as a sword spirit didn’t bug me. He’s Fi’s counterpart, and like Fi it’s telegraphed in his design, and I think he literally states that Demise is his master and his plans to revive Demise very early on. It’s Demise who is poorly handled. Particularly with, yes, the imprissoned, but he feels like he showed up LATE, not Fashionably Late. So we have Ghirahim who (unlike Zant) we’re already aware is more like a Lieutenant. As cool as the Final Fight against Demise is…he…really didn’t meet expectations with his entrance whatsoever (and his character was hurt further by the Toejam Durian.) - …and honestly Ganondorf didn’t need to be in Twilight Princess. It feels like a copout of “oh we keep signaling The Hylians Literally Commited Genocide (since literally the introduction with Rusl to various NPCs to Midna) better bring in a Classic Main Series Villain to get things back on track! Nevermind we’re showing him getting executed before committing any crime~” (which ofc Ganondorf is gonna come back pissed?? If it allegedly “follows OoT” then how the hell is the triforce split as he never entered the sacred realm in that timeline? Allegedly? The Gerudo are GONE with loose subtext being applicable to the Twili being theirs and possibly the sheikah’s decendants, and Arbitor’s Grounds sits where the Spirit Temple would have if things do line up…so…fantastic. Hyrule desicrated their temple, imprisoned and executed and/or tortured them, then shoved them through the mirror of twilight. But it’s okay because Link killed Ganon! Who…if he’s the same as OoT Ganondorf Allegedly only…really wanted the Gerudo to not starve. Either way Deliberate Implications has the Gerudo massacred with only their name remaining attatched to a now-empty region (unless some Gerudo Survivors of Arbitor Grounds got twisted into the bublin who are the only living people found there-and yes they are people. Or the bublin moved in after the Gerudo were massacred. Either way…it’s ugly. But gets side stepped once you start to think too deeply about things in favor of Fight Ganon which…y’know is coming as soon as Botched Execution at the midpoint, but Zant Is A Figurehead still feels…cheap.)
My greatest disappointment is that the most interesting, and compelling villains (Ghirahim, Zant, Twinrova) wind up being little more than subplots to the same type of villain. Majora’s Mask was such a breath of fresh air because it deviated from traditional formula of (insert whatever incarnation) Ganon/Demise and provided something unique.
I love the final battle of botw because it represents the essence of the game, you get the freedom to move around with your horse while you defeat the last consecuences of that curse’s existance, in the plain of hyrule letting you see all the things you’ve visited through out the game, making you remenber why you are here, bringing back life to the world you once failed to save, it’s brilliant how the game gives you the sensation of ruins promising to come back one day in this last scenario. The final battle is not about difficulty, it’s about mementos, realization, the end of an era with a simple movement. If you want hard bosses go play dark souls or some shit.
Breath of the Wild is an absolute masterpiece but the final moments of the game were disappointing but that doesn't take away from how incredible the game is :)
I feel the same way about Final Fantasy 6. It's my favorite game and the last boss being disappointingly easy (you can rather infamously down him in one turn if you set up your characters right) is a letdown but doesn't really take away from the game as a whole.
I like towel the literal Bossfight for the latest Zelda game was involved, but I enjoyed looking for the triforce is in wind Waker, and I enjoyed the entire story from twilight princess, and if we’re going to actually argue about villain swap, that happens in a bunch of different ways, movies, games, TV shows, one of the fun way of thickening the plot
For me, the most disappointing moment in Zelda is in Skyward Sword when we meet the dragons. When I discovered there were dragons in the game, I got excited and couldn’t wait to see them! But as soon as I found the water dragon, I could not be more disappointed. I mean, she and the other dragons look more like weird snake aliens with human faces. Ugh they were hideous. That is NOT what a dragon looks like, Nintendo!!!
@@ricky.t.1658 First, please don't sound rude. Second, I never said anything about Dark Souls. I'm just saying that Nintendo could've put in a little more effort to make those "dragons" actually look like dragons and not weird-ass alien freaks.
I disagree with The Opening part of Twilight Princess. I love when games take their time to let you live a regular happy day of the protagonist before moving to the interesting part of the story, and in my opinion Twilight princess handles it as good as Assassin's Creed 2 opening. For me is much more enjoyable having time to know the characters because later it's going to make me empathize more if something bad happens, rather than having a first mission and in the half of it being "surprised" by the actual plot of the game.
Idk, hetsu's gift was deserved... BotW is about exploring new and old wonders, or simply put: Breathing in the wild world. Making it into a tedious checklist is just not what this game is about.
Only villain swap out I think is poor is in Twilight Princess with Zant & Ganon. The Agahnim/Ganon aspect worked fine as pointed out in the video. But Demise is a force technically brought to the attention of the player before Ghirahim, and Ghirahim makes clear he’s trying to resurrect a higher power throughout the game. Demise is the origin of all evil and thus having him only appear in his true form at the very end makes it more climatic. However, the best example that broke the mold entirely was Yuga & Ganon. With Yuga only bringing Ganon back to absorb him and use him to gain more power. Yuga remains the big bad after Ganon is brought back, which I remember distinctly taking me by surprise.
Twilight Princess was the last best true formulaic legend of Zelda game. It was also the absolute best 3D version of Legend of Zelda. It took everything from OOT and Majoras Mask and made it even better. It was perfect and worth the 2 year wait from it's original release date.
I really don’t understand the hate behind the triforce quest in wind waker. I loved every second of that game it was amazing. Same for twilight princess the intro was showing you what kind of life link had. Maybe it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but still
biggest disappointment for me is how much the durability mechanics kill any sense of enjoyment for me in BotW....I haven't tried to continue it in over 2 years now ( I did the Zora divine beast and the Yga Clan hideout as well as lots of exploration & shrines but I just wasn't having much fun outside of the general exploration ) and still struggle with whether or not to force myself to try again. I hope the sequel offers some sort of accessibility options or "easy" mode for those like me who want to enjoy the game but can't with the durability
For me it was the magic armor side quest from Twilight Princess, you have to donate 1000 at Malo Mart at Kakariko to fix the Castle's East gate Bridge ( West in the Wii Version) After that you need to deliver a barrel of hot water to a dehydrated Goron on the repaired Bridge, then donate another 200 so Malo can buy the store in Castle Town. Then you can buy the armor for 598 rupees at the shop, you get excited put it on then you realise you lose 2 or 3 rupees per second wearing the armor and you would lose a further 5 to 10 rupees every time you got hit.
I actually don't understand why so many people think that Dark Beast Ganon is disapointing. Yeah sure the fight itself is really easy and doesn't really challenge you at all but the the feeling and the atmosphere in that fight is really something special. It's not the most challenging nor most fun fight in the series, but it really is one of the most epic fights in the series.
The problem is that even though the atmosphere is very good in botw, like you said it's not a very challenging or fun fight, the game spends a lot of time hyping up calamity ganon and how terrifying he is yet when you finally confront him, sure the actual calamity ganon fight is decent but when he turns into a giant beast then he's no more difficult than a bokoblin except he doesn't actually aim at you or if he does he does it very slowly to the point where you'd have to try and get hit by him. It's not the worst boss in the series but it's pretty easy to see why he's so disappointing to a lot of people
The Triforce fetch quest in Wind Waker should be the top entry on this list. On top of the missing dungeon to get the last Goddess Pearl, pulling up chests from the deep sea was FAR from the eight dungeons I was hoping to explore and conquer.
More disappointing in WW was the ghost ship... the fish guy gets all panicky about it and you wonder about it for nearly the whole game, then you go through a whole maze to get the chart for it, but the ship itself turns out to be no more special than the regular submarines.
In Twilight Princess' case...you kinda had a few hints that Zant was a bit of a puppet. Minda even mentions how he somehow went from a wimp to being actually powerful. I get that they were trying to make a 'spin' of it, but I think if the Zant fight was....better then it would have been remembered more fondly.
You missed one. The legend of Zelda: second quest. Nothing like going through the same overworld (for the most part), harder dungeons (the last 3 having rooms that send you back), and what do you get for it all? The same credits as before along with the following message: You are great. You are filled with wisdom and power. Yeah, there is a reason I did the second quest once and only once.
How bout Hobbies of the Rich side quest w/ Hagie in Botw? He offers you a down payment of 100 rupees to kill 2 guardians. When I did it I was expecting 3 or 4 hundred rupees because he said that 1st 100 was a down payment. But instead he just gave 20...he said down payments dont have to be a small portion of entire sum. The sad thing is he's right. I found out it's only that they usually are because it's rare people can pay the entire sum at once, so then they equally split the percentages, like with mortgage. Interestingly that's kinda referenced in Hylian Homeowner, w/ Bolson
For me personally and I know I might get some stick for this but my most disappointing moment is the fact that Ganondorf was Demises Hatred incarnate and not his own character, I still hate that twist.
Wrote way way way more than i meant but Zelda deserves it. 1st off I want to say this list was very well done and thought out. 👏 I just saw your channel for the 1st time today and am definitely subscribing. I haven't read over the other comments so I don't know if it has been said but if it hasn't you should do a part 2 ✌and if it has here is my vote to have it for this topic. Also I'm sure if you thought of "worst or disappointing moments" than you probably have thought of doing a "best moments or exceeds expectations" list. 🤔😄🤩 Now I was born in 1981. I have been hooked on home video games starting with the NES ( actual arcade cabinets and the Atari were obviously 🙄 the first things i played that I loved but the NES is what got me hooked like everyone my age.) Since I started playing the original "Zelda" and "Links Adventure" when they debuted the franchise (and Megaman) have been my favorite and I have seen everything in the franchise when it was brand new and there is a ton of content.... Yeah I'm middle aged and to most of you probably seem old. When I 1st saw this headline I immediately thought 🤔🤨😒 "I'm probably going to disagree with most of this list." However entry after entry I found myself saying "Yeah definitely! I certainly agree 👍 with that." I don't necessarily agree with the order and there was only 1 entry I disagreed with which was the Skyward Sword Tentalus battle. But I have seen that in many a lists and know I'm the minority when it comes to that fight and understand why many don't like it. I absolutely love Majora's Mask and it's at the top of my all time lists however😒....... I would replace that fight with 3 of the 4 boss fights from the 4 dungeons in MM. ( I'm going to list some things but if you are interested in a true comparison video between the 2 the RUclips channel "Nerrel" did a absolutely fantastic video on breaking it all down.) The Goht fight in Snowhead is the 1 I can say I enjoyed in both versions of the original and 3DS Remake. The other 3 have major issues on at least 1 version if not both. For instance Odolwa = Forest Temple is way to easy in both versions and on the 3DS it's almost impossible to lose. If you literally just stand there he will just keep dancing 💃 saying "You want to die" without even taking a swing until you get in the flower. They completely redid the Twinmold fight on the 3DS and it can take forever for it to do what you need it to (which is pure random) when you are a giant in order to defeat it. If you aren't extremely careful you will run out of magic or time and have to start over all because of the randomness of the fight and not because you did something. 😶😒🧐😟🙁☹😡🤬 Gyorg=Great Bay got tougher 💪 in some ways with the swimming now sucking and slower which makes getting in the right position to make the correct strike awful at times but they at least made targeting him once in the right spot way easier. Even though (again) it can suck your magic 🎩 down if you aren't careful. I'm sure there are other things like how as a deku your speed and distance coming off objects doesn't pick up as fast to prevent you from inadvertently falling like it was on the original N64 version. Now though it makes it a ton harder to hit lily pads without running out of jumps and in some places impossible almost. (My friends and I actually tested this and measured it side by side in the race against the Potion Witch. With no mistakes you barely get ¾ as far as in the original when you reach the giant squid. ) Anyway I have wrote way over enough and don't want to write a book and it's sequel here but great job and again you may have enough with all the content in the franchise to do a part 2 ✌to this topic and then some. You should and probably already are working on a "Best or exceeds moments" also. 🤔 I think it would well worth your time and hardwork. Not to mention us as your fanbase would love it. 💚💚💚💚
It’s no surprise that 3 of these moments were from Skyward Sword. It’s definitely my least favorite Zelda game. Another disappointment was it’s 3 recycled maps. Also. This just reminded me how beautifully Ganondorf was rendered in Twilight Princess.
For me, it's Wind Waker and the DS games. Aside from a small handful of music tracks from those games, those games honestly put me to sleep. Whether it's the tedium of the partner dungeons in Wind Waker, or the endless slog of traveling through the Temple of the Ocean King over and over in Phantom Hourglass... I'd say these games were my biggest Zelda disappointments.
SS: the build up for Tentalus and seeing his super ugly and cartoonish design in the fight. TP: not using the arrows of Light and the twilight palace being so short. WW: the lack of towns and empty Islands. MM: lack of more temples, atleast 2 more sub temples like the Ice cavern in oot. Oot: the ruppes are used for nothing except the deku Shield if i remember correctly.
The fact that almost every console Zelda game has Ganondorf as the main villain is the biggest bust. Nintendo is completely unoriginal when it comes to branching out and creating new villains (i.e. Metroid, Mario, Star Fox, etc.)
Only 2 things dissapointed me in any Zelda game….having to defeat the same boss/ dungeon numerous times… phantom hourglass, spirit tracks and skyward sword I’m looking at you. And goddamn motion controls for skyward sword 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ thank lord the switch version got rid of em.
Yeah for someone who proclaimed Zelda is his favourite series at the start of the vid he seems to have missed the point completely on most of these "disappointments"
The Zant/Gannondorf swap os more disappointing because it was just done in Four Swords Adventures with Vaati throughout game only to make Ganon the final boss
Is it just me, or does Tentalus bear a striking resemblance to the titular monster from the "Creepy Heap from the Deep" episode of Scooby Doo? 🤔 Well, except for deadly tentacles instead of seaweed hair... but the single eye and the mouth full of teeth...😂
A lot in Twilight Princess was pretty disappointing imo. I hated the Wolf segments, the magic armor was jank, and it had that 16 year old shopping at a Hot-Topic layer of goth rubbed on it that just made it cringe.... But Zant giving way to Ganon was not that big of deal.
Zelda Fans; "The breakable weapons in Breath of the Wild forces you to not rely on the same weapon all the time." Also Zelda Fans: "Man, I hate the Giant's Knife for breaking after a few hits!"
The giant's knife wasn't just a dissappointment it was a damn scam straight up, also try find every single goddess cube.. some of them are seemingly impossible places. Also while i agree nintendo did the hestus gift as a prank because that's how they are.. they're also wishing us good luck.. the golden poop.. while strange to us is actually a japanese symbol of good luck and good fortune.. so yeah they were trolling us.. but wishing us the best too
Why is the opening from Twilight Princess disappointing MojoPlays? Answer that question in the most honest answer possible, because I know you can’t. The opening of Twilight Princess is loved by many people because it shows that this Link isn’t some badass swordsman, but a goat herder. And it allows players to get to know what this Link is like.
I disagree, Dark Beast Ganon was the worst fight in the game. Probably the only disappointment in BotW. I feel like his beast form should’ve been more like OoT and Link to the Past. Have him stand on 2 legs, and attack you directly. And actually do things, instead of stand there. Or better yet. Make it be his big cloud form that we saw for the entire game
You can’t put nothing from the Minish Cap in here. Some of the story bits were just plain boring, like recovering the three books for the Hyrule library, which was far worse than Twilight Princess‘ intro
Am I the only one who loved the triforce quest in wind waker I absolutely loved it gave me an excuse to explore more and gave me more time with a game I absolutely love

I actually thought the Ghirahim twist was cool. The fact that he was Demise's version of Fi was pretty good
I’d put Hestu’s gift higher, I mean, 900 korok seeds it’s a really challenging sidequest for just a sh*t
And it’s not a shit reward instead it’s an actual piece of shit lol
korok seeds are shit.
It just goes to show that sometimes the awards are not worth the risk.
And TOTK got away with the same thing only this time it's 4 layers instead of 3
I actually liked twilight princess..everything about that game was amazing
That game doesn't get enough love.
by far my favorite game, I like a lot of them but I love that one
Best Zelda game IMO. Actually my favorite game of all time!
@@ryanisbelle6107 imo: you cant even experience the whole of the game in the first 3 dungeons. Why are you judging it as if you have beaten it?
For me it's the "dungeons" in Breath of the Wild
The dungeons are way too easy, plus you can skip most of them with simple speedrun tricks and glitches
@@hisnameisjohn4602 Yeah I'm not a fan of how Vah Naboris has a very clever puzzle to get to the upper section but it can just be completely skipped with Revali's Gale. They should've disabled champion abilities in Divine Beasts just like they did with shrines.
I love the Divine Beasts. Easily my favorite “dungeons” of the series.
@@hisnameisjohn4602 I agree but I’d say the only counter I have to that is if you use glitches to get through the shrines you’re just ruining the experience yourself (especially applicable if you look the glitches up and didn’t discover it yourself)
I liked them
Honestly I am surprised that the Magic Armor from Twilight Princess wasn't on here that thing is not worth the time in my opinion.
Great game but horrible and very unrewarding side quest.
I say the biggest let down would be four swords being strictly multiplayer only
Except that was fixed as a free limited time 3DS download that gave game with single player option.
Really don’t mind the villain swaps. Finding out Ghirahim was actually the evil Fi was cool. He was the evil sword’s inner person
Especially in botw it felt so weird
Wind Waker gives you a "Clear" file to start anew
That happens to me too, I hate it sooooo much, it’s like everything you did was for nothing just because you can’t save after the ending
For the top pick instead of seeing it as a swap out, look at it as more of the villian sharing the role with the bigger bad guys
Awww I loved Twilights opening. It gives you a feel for what Links peaceful life was like before every went down
Skyward Sword, when you finally get to go back in time for real (not counting Larynu time orb things - those were my favorite part of the game) at the temple of time, and then (spoiler alert), YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING WHEN YOU GET THERE! YOU CAN'T EVEN LEAVE THE TEMPLE AT ALL FOR NO APPARENT REASON
Bro this is facts. You literally go there and plant a tree that’s it. I remember being so excited to go back in time and see Faron differently
That’s because of how the game works, it’s not an open world game, if you could leave the temple in the past the skies whould really have interesting quests too, the game serves completely to the storyline, it’s more like a tale than a legend
I haven't complained about villain swap outs. As long as you get to beat the crap out of them, then who cares?
Man... Just noticed once more how much I need a Twilight princess remake on switch. Loved that game so much and would really love to give it another try with contemporary graphics.
I really hope they release twilight princess and wind waker on switch, 2 games i haven't played before. Skyward sword was really fun
the one time i was very disappointed in a Zelda game was Breath of the Wild's Dark Beast Ganon, i was hoping Ganon would reveal his Ganondorf form after he was in beast form like in Twilight Princess but then i saw that the game just ends after you beat dark beast and... yea it just didnt feel like a challenge at all
It would seem like BOTW 2 may address that issue.
@@gohantanaka yea thats what im hoping

There was nothing underwhelming about WW’s Triforce quest at all
The city in the sky in Twilight Princess, i has expecting an alive city with people, but we got a common dungeon full of Ooccas ._.
The entire Kinstone thing in Minish Cap. That made the triforce quest in Wind Waker look a free trip to Disneyland.
The villain swap is also poorly done, they build up a great, impressive and dominant villain just to realize they don’t have time to give him a good close so in the battle against him, he is literally humiliated by Midna and Link, he literally splodes like a ballom and a comical noise is heard while it happens once midna finishes him, it’s so obvious the writers just wanted to bring back Ganon for the fan service so hard they forgot they already had a villain so they said “mmm… well who cares *unvillains your Zant, makes him a comic relief*”…
One thing I like tho is how they introduce Ganondorf, as you said, you always know he is hiding and soon he will come, to only appear at the end of the game they manage to evoque the sensation of evil all around his presence. Although, a lot of this comes from the work in the other games, the build up in them makes him recognizable even if you haven’t worked a lot on him.
TP is far away from having a perfect storyline.
I didn’t really mind the opening of Twilight Princess, although it does it on my nerves sometimes.
Oot, Water temple boss. The temple is extremely challenging, and then you have to fight a literal amoeba.
I actually really like the Triforce hunt. I'm not a fan of all the rupee grinding in the gamecube version, but in the HD version I think the Triforce quest is great because they got rid of most of that. The best part about Wind Waker in my opinion is exploring all the different islands, and that's exactly what the Triforce Quest is all about
The rupoor collecting soundtrack and link’s face are such a great gag
I disagree with number one. To me, with Zant, it just shows how manipulative people are.
Mine is in Skyward Sword trying to get the Hylian Shield.
And the moment you get the hylian shield, you barely get to use it as much since its nearly the end of the game.
@@hisnameisjohn4602 Yep
Zant was such an awesome villain, he was introduced so foreboding and menacing. I don't know why I didn't mind it that he turned out to be a weird whiny crybaby, I still loved his fight

@@ricky.t.1658 I'm sorry, but I'm not sure if you mean me or somebody else. In no way am I leaving a silly message. As for respect, Zant would have somebody like me killed. I respect the person who wrote his character, but not the character.

I didn’t care that Zant was overshadow by Ganondorft, but I was expecting a good villain like when he was introduced intimidating and powerful we at the end get a kid making a huff.
I guess thats the whole point of Zant, in a way, he’s made out to be this terrifying destructive man, but in reality he’s only an unhinged, fake king
@@anonymousfellow8879 just search for spaceworld 2001 Zelda , it's link facing ganondorf in a sword fight... Nothing great imo
That game would kinda become Twilight Princess.
As cool as the Final Fight against Demise is…he…really didn’t meet expectations with his entrance whatsoever (and his character was hurt further by the Toejam Durian.)
-
…and honestly Ganondorf didn’t need to be in Twilight Princess.
A lot of other games of the serie does the same, also Ghirahim was very well written
How so🤔🤔
@@brennanwn it's too easy for the ending in all honesty
I feel the same way about Final Fantasy 6. It's my favorite game and the last boss being disappointingly easy (you can rather infamously down him in one turn if you set up your characters right) is a letdown but doesn't really take away from the game as a whole.
Far from a masterpiece. That award goes to TP or OOT
Oh man. I knew Twilight Princess's opening tutorial would be in here.
We can't blame 'em, that shit was tedious, specially when you replay the game like 10 times, it get worse every time 😂, still an awesome game tough
Yeah… yeah…
Tentalus was so bad! It looks so silly! It should have looked like The Kraken. That would have been amazing!
That was sooo upseting for me as well. Thankfully dragons look way better in botw
@@annakarissathibodeaux5115 Yeah same

@@ricky.t.1658 First, please don't sound rude. Second, I never said anything about Dark Souls. I'm just saying that Nintendo could've put in a little more effort to make those "dragons" actually look like dragons and not weird-ass alien freaks.
Legit its the tentalus fight in skyward sword. I will always think this is the biggest cop out ever.
Mine was finding out that every time I wanted to go into hyrule castle in botw it was always in malice form and never normal
Tentalus’s “aesthetic” is unacceptable lol. Did a literal 2 year old design that??
You can make a video on how to Fix these mistakes into something better
Idk, hetsu's gift was deserved... BotW is about exploring new and old wonders, or simply put: Breathing in the wild world. Making it into a tedious checklist is just not what this game is about.
Twilight Princess is a nearly FLAWLESS game I will not accept criticism on this
I loved Dark Beast Ganon.
Zant’s neck crack at the end was one of my favorite things in TP
I don't even care that they were disappointing. I still enjoyed them.
For me it was the magic armor side quest from Twilight Princess, you have to donate 1000 at Malo Mart at Kakariko to fix the Castle's East gate Bridge ( West in the Wii Version)
After that you need to deliver a barrel of hot water to a dehydrated Goron on the repaired Bridge, then donate another 200 so Malo can buy the store in Castle Town.
Bruh, I couldn't agree more with the Zora one from Majoras Mask 3D. I remember that THAT ONE almost killed me
You missed one.
The legend of Zelda: second quest.
Nothing like going through the same overworld (for the most part), harder dungeons (the last 3 having rooms that send you back), and what do you get for it all?
The same credits as before along with the following message:
You are great.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who got totally pumped to fight a kraken on a pirate ship only to get.... that.
6:09 I’m currently playing windwaker for the first time and I’m at the point of the triforce quest. It sucks so bad
For me personally and I know I might get some stick for this but my most disappointing moment is the fact that Ganondorf was Demises Hatred incarnate and not his own character, I still hate that twist.
Literally everything after the Great Plateau.
I find it funny that Krow's Graveyard told to not use his footage, and not only did you do so...you didn't even link his channel in the description.
For instance
Odolwa = Forest Temple is way to easy in both versions and on the 3DS it's almost impossible to lose. 💚💚💚💚
You could legit make this entire video about Skyward Sword.
What about the Hylian Shield trial in Skyward Sword?
2:37 Biggest cap ever
I’m surprised no mention of Morpha from the Water Temple
BRUH!!! Don't you dare talk bad stuff about Zelda Twilight Princess. The whole game was a work of art and fun EVEN THE BEGINNING!!!!
Is it just me, or does Tentalus bear a striking resemblance to the titular monster from the "Creepy Heap from the Deep" episode of Scooby Doo? 🤔
Well, except for deadly tentacles instead of seaweed hair... but the single eye and the mouth full of teeth...😂
I love Wind Waker, but I hate the Triforce Quest.
The End of BOTW is the most disapointing. Just nothing. Short Clip. Ganoven alive.
I loved the opening of Twilight Princess
Am I the only one who loved the triforce quest in wind waker I absolutely loved it gave me an excuse to explore more and gave me more time with a game I absolutely love
Probably I'm the only one who likes tentalus 😂
Oh I thought they somehow recorded me playing. It's disappointing
I agree 100% on the sky in Skyward Sword, found it completely empty and kind of boring
Dark beast Ganon was such a disappointment. I beat him in like 2 minutes. Way too easy
I think it's the final boss of BotW. It seems so epic, but it's just laughably easy.
If you want to
