Wow! This is one of the best tutorials I have watched. Your work is amazing and I will be binge-watching your channel. Thank you so much for this. I really learned a lot about taking my decoupage to the next level.
Royce, Thank You for sharing all of this! I have purchased several of your lovely papers knowing exactly what I will use them on, but having never decoupaged furniture before I have been stymied by the details. The longer I hold on to and stare at the papers, the more perceived value they acrue, and the more hesitant I have been to use them. Yeah, I need therapy. 🤪 This video is exactly the help and kick I needed to get 'em done. Thanks again for all of the wonderful detailed information!!!
Thank you so much for a clear & well laid out tutorial - I have "under painted" before using neutrals but I have never tried your painterly effect with colors, it creates so much texture & depth to what was a simple b&w decoupage paper, my goodness it opens up a whole new colorful world to decoupage!!! Brilliant 😊
Great demo. Love the idea of under painting. I was just starting a furniture piece. I’m glad I saw this technique first. Can’t wait to try it. Thank you.
Love the placement on the glaze for a highlight effect. I really love the paint effect under the paper. It really looks great with the butterflies, which I really love. Thanks for a great instructional video !!
I just found you while I was searching for decoupage paper. I couldn't subscribe fast enough! Your products are AMAZING, I'm like a kid in a candy store!
I so much enjoy your tutorials. You make it interesting, but you don’t go on and on, like so many I’ve watched. You say what is necessary and show us the rest….You are awesome!!
OMgoodness!!! I found you through IOD and have now voraciously binge-watched all your videos and I have learned so much! I will put to use your simple, yet impactful steps to make my projects shine. Thank you!!
I found your channel a few days ago, I am working my way through your videos. I love them. Plus you have a soothing way of speaking that makes me feel happy even when I’m not. You’ve got a new fan here
Hi Royce, so glad to see you on RUclips. I subscribed. It was a pleasure to meet you at Carmen’s last weekend. Wishing you well. Toni from beautiful Colorado Springs , Oh, so pretty. Loved the blue and green one.
Hi Mitchel. You could, it really depends on what you hope to accomplish. If you want to add color, or shadow for dimension you could. Or if you wanted to create a more opaque visual, you would paint white on the back of your paper if you are doing reverse decoupage. I just finished a window pane project. I decided halfway through not to add any paint because I like the translucent quality I achieved. You can find the video here: ruclips.net/video/-yS6v7mugX4/видео.html. I also have another video showing the differences. You can find it here: ruclips.net/video/X0ThqpKwwec/видео.html

Would you under paint when doing a multipaned window?
Hi Mitchel. You could, it really depends on what you hope to accomplish. If you want to add color, or shadow for dimension you could. Will this method work on canvas? Love the glazing shadow effect
I’m sure it would. It should work on just about any substrate 😊
Hello, your papers are wonderful!! I have purchased several from Zazzle - but have not seen these. Are these papers available on Zazzle, and if so can you tell me how to locate them? Thank you.
Hi Ronnie. Thank you. These designs are only available through retailers. You can retailers on my site at www.Roycycled.com
@@Roycycled Oh, I thought Zazzle was a retailer, thank you.
Royce you are amazing and you have such great ideas. Do you have plans for new papers anytime soon?
Thank you Cheryl. There are new designs coming out this week 🤗
@@Roycycled yay, is there a sneak peek anywhere?
@@cherylatkinson9083 the new designs are on my site. Maybe I should do a reveal here on RUclips 🤔🤔
@@Roycycled absolutely
@@Roycycled Royce I can't find your new papers anywhere. I can't see any of your papers on your website. Am I looking in the wrong place?
What is the varnish you are using to seal paper
Why do use varnish instead of mod podge?
I’m guessing the IOD ink has enough open time to stamp and then apply the embossing powder?
Hi Maggie. I’ve not tried with the IOD ink before. I’ll have to experiment 🤗🤗
Which ink did you use?
@@maggiefletcherscuriouscelt4199 I didn't use ink in this video. I used Ranger clear ink in the embossing video. :)
Is that canvas you are using or wood? :)
Hi Catherine. These are wood, but you can use canvases.
@@Roycycled Thank you! May I ask what kind of wood? They seem very thin.. what a beautiful project!!
@@catherinebeavers I use pieces of subflooring to create sample boards for my classes.
@@Roycycled That is a great idea!
What is glaze
Has anyone tried painting watercolor onto decoupage paper after it is adhered to surface?
Hi Debra. Yes! It works better if you paint before you seal the paper 🙂
