I love watching these each year. As somebody who doesn't keep up as much with the tournament scene, hearing the hosts all highlight certain players gives me a lot more to engage with as a viewer, and makes the experience watching immensely more enjoyable.

59:40 I'm very curious abt said rule. I'm assuming it's regarding pooling, and my guess is that OWC's guidelines for pooling allow too high BPMs that let ID abuse speed against UK?
Not to speak for Aaron but I'm almost certain he's referring to the rule that teams aren't allowed to ban two maps of the same mod, which meant that UK could only ban one DT map so 3 were guaranteed to be left open

I'll give them credit to the point where at the very least Germany's matches against USA were actually really close, so I dont struggle to see a reality where Germany would win that year's World Cup, because compared to something like the 2019 powerhouse team, 2021 USA wasn't unbeatable by any stretch of the imagination.
I agree that even with hindisight, not slating them as the tournament favourites was a mistake, but I see where they were coming from, although the "USA weak mental vulnerability" tangent was definitely hyper copium, lol

He did play in several major tournaments though like Perennial, drenchedprogram or Yuki Aim, and even got his first tournament win in the Bundeslander Battle. He also set a lot of impressive solo scores ^^
Although I agree he did take some breaks, it's not like he was gone the entire year.
