Two Day Rock Fishing Trip on the Sonoma Coast

  • Turned a couple of days off into a two day fishing trip. First day was overcast and use the Berkley gulp grub in orange tiger, caught an 18" cabezon and released it. Had more success on the second day, the sun came out and used TDD Lure's grub in a pearl white color and swimbait in that cannabait hitter, was able to limit out and the biggest ones came on the cannabait.
    DAY ONE:
    Rod: St. Croix Seage 9' SES90MMF
    Reel: Shimano Stradic FL 5000
    Line: Power Pro 30lb braid Hi Vis Yellow
    Leader: Seaguar 50lb Flouro
    Hooks: Gamakatsu Superline EWG 4/0
    Lure: Berkley gulp grub 5" in Orange tiger
    DAY TWO:
    Rod: St. Croix Seage 8' 1pc SES80MMF
    Reel: Shimano Stradic FL 4000
    Line: Power Pro 30lb braid hi vis yellow
    Leader: Seaguar 50lb Flouro
    Sinker: 1oz Egg sinker
    Hooks: Gamakatsu EWG 3/0 superline
    Lure: @TheDinkDaddy 's TDD lures in white grub and cannabait swimbait.

    Hey there,.. that's a great place for rockfish... I just wanted to give you a tip on your casting ..... try pulling more on the butt section instead of pushing with your right hand ... you'll find that your cast will go much further with less effort 👌
    Whatever way you cast whether side or overhead ... try it and let me know how it works for you..?
