yeah to add on that, there are also uncountablely many Mayuri dead in other universe, and uncountablely many other pathetic okabe dead more tragic than this one.(all those time jump okabe make, there will always be that okabe's true form left, just his mind get transferred to another universe)
No, he did make it. One of the established rules is that *one and only one worldline can be active at any given time.* Once one worldline is shifted to another, the previous worldline gets overwritten by the new wordline and reverts to its original state as a possibility that a worldline can branch onto. This explains why certain character can have some fragments of the previous wordline. If there were more than one wordline active, those memory fragments wouldn't exist.
@@pressfinchat no he didn't actually as he is in the past he didn't rewritten the other okabe And either most probably died alone in the far long past in that desert place(shown muliple times, and forshadowed in original S;G beginning of ep12 of the anime that place in 0's ending "Last Game" or got lost in the infinite sea of time as fuel is not enough.. As after okabe left abroad the time machine 2025 he became "Dead" to the world
@@M-yue882 that okabe was rewritten. It just doesn't effect him right away because he didnt send the message at that moment. Right after he finished recording it he goes to save mayuri and suzuha and the dmail is sent later. Okabe decides to stay in the past to prevent a time paradox and mayuri stays with him. Still kinda confusing, but the light novel confirmed that there is only one world line active at one given time, which is why reading steiner works and why people have memories when world line changes, their memories are rewritten and the world "remade" in a sense. The description from the light novel is, "that a world line is an infinite number of possible worlds. However, these worlds do not exist in parallel. Only one exists at any given time. Everything that occurs along a world line is predetermined. Thus, no matter how much you change the past along a single world line, the result will converge to the same outcome." Basically thats the authors way of saying don't worry everyone got a good ending. There isnt any Okabes living without Mayuris and so on. Everything that happened to any other Okabe/Mayuri etc. happened to these ones, there memories and physical states were changed due to the change of a world line.
@@huh3719 nope as he stayed in the long past the worldline change in the future didn't affect him He's basically like a whole other being than the OG okabe just Like when okabe travelled with Suzuha through the time machine to save Kurisu in the anime, + as the change in the present almost doesn't affect the far long past at all, he didn't get rewritten... Actually there are more reasons proving this tho It's a bit complicated yeah Hmm it's VN btw not LN S;G is a virtual novel Anyway im just statting it's the most probable outcome from indices (when im home i'll add reasons to my statement..) Wait I just finnished original stiens gate. Is this like a season 2? Or just another person's perspective idk if I should watch it or not giving that I enjoyed the first one
@@as_trini2854 (small spoiler) basically the same yea, but it’s about the okabe that sent the video clip back in time to the okabe in the original Steins;Gate
18,000 BC isn't just a random point in time the writers picked. Since Okabe can't travel back to the proper time with Mayuri and Suzu, he stays behind in 18,000 BC and dies. And from my understanding the oldest human remains founds in Japan is dated to be from 18,000 BC. So the anime implies that it's Okabe's.
How do u know he stayed there... I don't think there is any such rule that only 2 people can travel in a time machine considering the fact that this machine is built by him. Additionally, Mayuri will never gonna allow this tbh..
@@RoBBiN19there could be only one timeline that is active because the observer of the timelines can only read one timeline at a time. This means that all the Okabes still exist within those, or rather, still exist and have lived their lives. But just is "inactive" or, does not exist. As in both the Beta and Steins Gate timeline, Okabe goes back and saves Suzuha and Mayuri, this means that the fact that he stayed behind makes perfect sense.
Just finished this anime, honestly feel empty inside. Don’t binge and finish in 2 days guys, shit breaks your heart Edit: Sheeeshh guys I just found this comment now, looks like all of us lived the same lives😂😂
i did binge watch it... both seasons back to back because i had no clue what i was getting myself into... and damn the void... now im rewatching it and playing the visual novels and reading the manga... im trying so hard to fill the emptiness
I felt zero was very deep in that it adapted the story of an Okabe who didn't have Kurisu, didn't have Mayuri either(lost in 18000BC) and had to come up with the path to steins gate. I'd always had a slight issue of how conveniently happy the ending for the original steins gate was, but 0 was an absolutely thrilling explanation that everything wasn't all joy and one Okabe had to suffer and die alone in a far away time to get us the happy ending in the original series. Don't get me wrong, I would've liked to see the Okabe from 0 meet Kurisu again but I guess some things just aren't meant to be
Okabe ìn 0 was left off at the time where Mayuri and Suzuha are able to use the time machine properly. The one stuck in 70 million years ago should be also the okabe from the beta time line but the one that has experienced everything up to the anime to this point but still failed to save kurisu Thus he has his white labcoat in 2025 and records the 'decieve the world video' for okabe in 2010. And this same okabe travels 70 million years into the past to meet kurisu and Mayuri or he dies I have no idea. ^one plausible theory is he saves Mayuri from that timeline to 2025 and Suzuha to 2036 so it wouldn't have a time paradox as Mayuri had to be alive until 2034 to adopt kagiri.
Tbh it was the first time in the series where okabe deosnt time travel to the different world.. and they showed his life.. maybe everytime okabe travelled, his consciousness did, so all the other okabes experienced the same bad ending.. even much worser..
@@sanmaypaniker2320 that's not how it works though, all Okabes don't have the memories of every Okabe, there's only 1 real Okabe who's in the present as the observer. This story involved an Okabe who was an observer but became a messenger to the 2010 Okabe who became the final observer who got to Steins;Gate
Im being confused after watching the ending. Isn't they succeed to get 2010 Okabe to deceive the world? When they succeed, why the world line didn't change to the world line where okabe succeed to deceive the world? im really confused right now
waitttt correct me if im wrong but only suzuha and mayuri got back in time since 0 okabe stayed back this is proven by how the time machine can only carry 2 person...now you might be asking shouldn't mayuri and okabe the one to go back to the future?but thats wrong because okabe wouldn't want to erase the okabe that reached steins gate essentially if he goes back to the future he would overwrite the steins gate okabe since once a version of okabe reaches steins gate all other worldlines would stop this has been stated again and again in the vn...correct me if im wrong people but the only anime content we could get is the gamma worldline story(where. okabe is a rounder and later in the timeline would become a dictator) or a story of an okabe in the steins gate timeline edit:again i might be wrong but this is implied in the end of the 0 vn
Oh really! I thought Steins;Gate Elite was the visual novel but with a few more scenes or something :O it’d be great to see Steins;Gate 0 get a sequel!
Annoyingly, there are some hints on the series that Yuki, Suzuha's mother is somewhat one of the enemies like when she injured her arm on episode 7 but it turns out that she has nothing to do with the enemies at all
The entire time she wrote it off as her being clumsy, which seems suspicious. But then she literally walks into a door so I think at that point its meant to be a relief that she's not actually an enemy. Maybe it was done better in the VN?
So for anyone confused. What this dude said at the end is incorrect. The author of the light novel confirmed that there is only one world line active at a time. Technically the Okabe that went back to the past is still the same Okabe; its just his physical form and somewhat his memories were reset just as everyone elses. Thats why people have memories from different world lines because it actually happened to them. World lines are moreso possible outcomes for the world, they don't coexist at the same time. Some proof is that Okabe starts to remember a bit of what happens when future Okabe goes to save Mayuri and Suzuha, the reason why that world line continued is because they hadn't sent the video to change the past yet, the video was sent in 2036 once their plans for changing the past were completed and Okabe and Mayuri died in the past to keep from causing a time paradox in the future. And current Okabe somwhat remembers it having the ability to remember events that hes gone through in different world lines. So in the end everyone has a happy ending and even though they went through all that suffering, it doesnt really matter because most of them (excluding okabe) won't remember so its as if it never happened. Same Okabe we've been following even through all of 0, but he may or may not get those memories back in the future.
Thank you so much for the comment! Personally I was quite confused at the end of SG0 but I had to summarise it somehow. Thank you so much for the correction, it really helps ^_^
@Huh thank you. I've fallen in love with steins gate in just a week, and searching on internet i could've only find people making theories without even have played the v.n. I've read your comment and then i realized that your comment is probably the most clear on the internet about the ending. Also, all the information u said are said by the autors themself, so it's the truth: Okabe dies with Mayuri in the past, then in 2036 Daru sends to Suzuha the D-mail that will change the timeline beta to the Steinsgate one and everybody will have experienced it. Even tho SG Okabe doesn't have anymore the memories of what happened in SG0 cause he was already dead in 2036 for reading steiner. Thanks again.
Hey can you explain why did reading Steiner didn't occur when the video was sent to the past okabe why didnt the world line change? Are there only one okabe or several of em in different world line please explain?
I loved Steins;Gate 0 since I always found the og Stein;Gates answer to how to reach the Steins; Gate worldline in ep 23 very convenient, like really the future Okabe just gives the answer to the past Okabe. You get to see all the bull shit Okabe had to go through to send that crucial knowledge to his past self in 0 and I now appreciate the original series more.
For those of you who are saying it's depressing that the Zero Okabe and countless other Okabes didn't make it to Steins;Gate, hear me out: All of the Okabes and their friends made it. Every single one of them. One of the established rules in the canon is that *one and only one worldline can be active at any given time.* In layman's terms, there can only be one world, no parallel worlds. Once one worldline is shifted, the previous worldline gets overwritten by the new wordline and reverts to its original state as a possibility. Everybody on that worldline gets their memories reconstructed to fit that worldline, except Okabe. This explains why certain characters can have memory fragments of the previous wordlines. Those memories fragments can't exist if Steins;Gate follow the parallel worlds interpretation.
in Steins Gate we saw how the moment Okabe sent a text back in time the world line got overwritten and he remembered everything going into the new world line . so that would mean the 0 world line got over written the moment 0 Okabe sent the video message to the Steins Gate Okabe ? another question . whenever Okabe used to send D-mail , a new worldline used to come into existence where everyone knows what happened but Okabe only had the memory of previous world line just like he didn't know whether Luka was a girl or a boy when the world line shifted although everyone else knew it . which brings me to the question that the moment when 0 Okabe sent the video message to Okabe , 0 line stopped and 0 Okabe shifted to the Steins gate okabe which means the Okabe who had the happy ending will (in future) suddenly lose the memories because the memories of 0 Okabe will enter his brain ? lol I don't know if I explained my questions properly or not but I'm confused af
Anmol Thakur i know what u mean, i think OG okabe will not know anything of it until 2025. cuz that’s when future okabe sended the D-mail. at the exact moment he reaches the moment de Dmail was send, he will gain the memories of future okabe. so until then we will have a happy okabe for 14 years
@@EmreG-vi2kd but remember when he used to send a dmail he used to *not* have the memories of the changes that happened in the new worldline , like how he didn't know Ruka was a girl even tho the okabe of that world line should have . From lab members' Point of view Ruka was always a girl and Okabe must have known that too but then suddenly one day he forgets if Ruka was a girl or not . So that would mean in 2025 Okabe will suddenly forget what happened between 2010 and 2025 and gain memories of Beta world line
As a correction for 5:40, I don’t think Suzu ever questioned if Okabe is intentionally doing sussy things to change world lines. She just realizes the world lines are being changed, which means big governments have already began experimenting. So she’s holding Okabe at gun point, trying to desperately force him to at least do a final one last attempt. Then daddy shows up and convinces Suzu that it’s ok, just let Okabe cook. He’ll be ready some time. Forcing him won’t make it successful, etc. Yeah the scene is mostly to show how desperate Suzu and the whole situation is getting. There wasn’t any misunderstandings in the situation, just more and more desperation.
steins gate is an amazing series. It shows how time works....how the world works...you can't fuck around with time. Time is precious and can't be changed, or can it? I also loved steins gate 0, it had a bittersweet ending, ok like the Okabe we have been following never found steins, but another him did., which really makes the theory of relativity romantic but sad at the same time. Anyways i will always remember this series for the things it taught me...and i any of you haven't watched this anime plz do...it's amazing. ''Perhaps the universe can't justifiably be called infinite , but the possibilities in it...that's a different story altogether'' - Okabe Rintarou. Not knowing keeps the world alive.
The ending of him leaping a thousand times is unbelievably sad yet uplifting. I like the future stuff a lot in this. Reminds me of the original Terminator movie. I played both of the games on PS Vita before watching the animes and I recomend this for everyone. It is my favorite visual novel of all time and has changed my my life to be cheesy and honest
The world of SG0 does reach the steins gate.. they reach it in 2036 when the child Suzuha who's aware of operation Skuld time travels back to 2010 to ask okabe to come with her to save kurisu. The paradox is that 2036 doesn't have okabe as he is supposed to die in 2025 (he does fake his death by time traveling to 18000 bc). So when 2036 hits all of the beta world is lost n everything reaches steins gate. Only the fate of okabe, Suzuha n mayuri who are in 18000 BC is unknown as they gotta wait 20036 years to reach SG.
Being able to see more depressed and stressed Okabe is the favorite part of 0 for me lol I have no idea why, but I just really like the, wearing a black suit instead of a white lab coat. Constantly being the only person that’s not a mad scientist among everyone in the room. Depressed and needs medication for PTSD. Yet also still have a burning passion deep inside that gets triggered all the time when seeing those new fancy technology. Edit: Oh and constantly a bit edgy and pissed Suzuha is also my favorite! …hmm I feel like maybe I just love characters with negative emotions lol, especially characters that was happy now being unhappy. Weird.
I don't know if it's the best Anime show ever made, but I do think Steins;Gate 0 is the best sequel made. As in, being a sequel means it isn't a "stand alone piece of fiction". The work will depend on the context, how the industry, the consumer, the society and all changes in the decade. So the team being able to release SG1 as a game, see the reception, make the Anime, see the reception again, and build on more experience while working on other titles like Chaos;Child. And finally finished cooking the game and later the Anime after 8 years, almost a whole decade. And I think it's really well done. Especially because, if you are an OG fan who experienced SG1 8 years ago, seeing SG0 fold out is great. However, if you are a new fan who just binged marathon watched through both Anime, all 48 episodes in a row, it's still awesome! Like, SG1 ends on a climax with a Deus Ex Machina that saves the day. It was satisfying, but the reader will definitely have a looming question in their head about "hmm I wonder how did this Deus Ex Machina came to be?" Of course, you should watch SG1's episode 1-24 first, then watch 23β again when you are ready to begin SG0.
As someone who played the game, I do think the Anime adaptation is even better. As in, for SG1, the game have quite a few endings and scenes that are not present in the anime. Which I felt sad they have to be cut since it’s impossible to fit them in. Meanwhile, SG0’s game story had 2 main story paths and a few other endings. However, dividing the main story into 2 paths always felt a bit arbitrary. IIRC it was the 2000 times recursion back in time being one path, and after the recursion all he did was sent a simple D-mail, then everything else happened on another path. The anime combined both patches, and just have the 2000 times recursed Okabe be the one that actually lived 15 years and did everything. Which feels a lot less anti-dramatic than the game, and puts more weight on this single Okabe.
I watched the entire Steins;Gate 0 series thinking it was the original Steins;Gate because the site I watched it on HAD NAMED IT WRONG........ If you thought you were confused watching this series, just IMAGINE my confusion when I tried to look up the explanations on the original Steins;Gate. I thought I had lost my memory and my brain had melted. Guess I gotta go watch the original now, lol.
Great video I love how Zero expands on the circumstances of the original while at the same time having its own extrems in its story. Mainly the parts where Okabe is confronted with the time line he left behind to save mayuri. I found it pretty realistically. Good video thums up.
So that's what I understood from the video, there are 2 world lines in the ending: -Steins gate -the "SG:zero" world line In the Steins gate worldline:every main character is alive, Kurisu barely knows Okabe since they just met, Kagari isn't born yet, will born in the future probably around 2025-2026,Okabe hasn't met Maho yet In the SG:zero worldline from what I understood:Okabe from the future travels to the 18000 BC to rescue the Mayuri and Suzuha from 2010, brings them back to their time, 2010,and goes back to his time 2025 where everyone is alive including Mayuri and Suzuha that he just rescued except for Kurisu Correct me if I'm wrong plz
In the SG;zero worldline, based on Kagari's reaction to Okabe going to save Mayuri and older Suzuha (the oopa), Mayuri is not present in 2025. Therefore I assume Mayuri was not sent back to 2010. It is possible she was sent back sometime in between 2025-2034 because she needs to be there to adopt Kagari in the future to avoid a time paradox. All the events need to occur because if they were to change any of the events the worldline would shift to prevent the paradox or the worldline would correct the paradox. Suzuha is harder. Since we do not see her it is possible for her to be in any time. But she would most likely be sent to when her younger self is sent back in time or right before the text is sent to past Okabe. Who knows. This is my interpretation of the events, its possible that I am wrong.
@@tytanm-2380 I think he does goes to 2036 but then immediately his reading steiner would kick in because then the s;g worldline would then become active. He cannot go back to the crew until young suzuha leaves for the past. Again this is just my interpretation. I could be wrong.
It's crazy how all these characters go through so much to help people in a reality they'll never even get to experience. Like imagine being Okabe's 6th or 7th try on saving the time machine from being blown up. You just have to sit there and realize that you exist in the world where he fucked up and everybody's dead and WWIII still happens and basically your only hope is that in another timeline it doesn't LOL
Thanks for this. I missed the detail where the reason that Okabe was able to go back in his original world line or the beta one was because of the d-mail sent to delay Kurisu. And also the reason why she's with Okabe in that world line is because she arrived on time for that confession. Love you bro
here is what im 87% sure happens at the end: 1. the people living in beta world line got their memories transferred to the steins gate line in 2036 only AFTER suzuha makes her trip to the past (as shown in og steins gate). this is because the d-mail created in 2025 by itself is not enough to move world lines. 2. im fairly certain okabe brings mayuri and suzuha back to 2025 since he for one stated that he will bring them *back* and also promised kagari that she will see mayuri again. 3. as for okabe, i can see 3 possible actions he took: a) he stayed in the event horizon and died by himself. b) he traveled to another era to live by himself as so not to overwrite steins gate line okabe's memories with reading steiner. c) he actually returns to 2025 and does indeed overwrite steins gate line okabe's memory in 2036. keep in mind the beta line does not move to the steins gate line UNTIL 2036 in the beta world since that is when the conditions for moving world lines are met.
It's just simple as that the original steins gate follows the story of okabe who get succeeded in finding steins gate worldline under the guidance of his future self and steins gate 0 follows the depressed okabes worldline who letter will send the video mail to his past self..... And whoever getting confuse over the last secen of stein gate0, He is the same okabe who sent mayushi and suzuha back to the past in order to get slapped by mayushi but that slap was not enough to change the worldline, the video mail is still needed thats why the thats okabes timelines gets continues untill he delivered his video mail to his past self couz to reach the stiens gate the slap from mayushi and video mail both are needed.
Okabe from stein gate 0 didn’t find the happy ending but he was okay with how things ended for him but made a video to send it to okabe from another world(original stein gate) so he could find the true ending of saving both the girls.
The ending made me ask something, what if they all remained there? i remember in the OG steins;gate there were moments where mayuri from 18000BC was talking to 18000BC okabe (who is also the alpha worldline okabe who can see all of that because of the reading steiner) so isnt that kind of proof that they didnt return but rather stayed to possibly die in the past?
Great explanation I actually understand this way better but 1 thing is nagging at me... So does sg0 basically follow the alternate ending of ogsg to get back to ogsg happy ending? Oh and do you remember in the ogsg when Mayuri was telling okabe that there are many timelines but she thinks she is the original and he is the original also and that they were going to die there and it was way back in time? Do you think this is basically where okabe from sg0 goes off to find Mayuri and Suzaha in 18000 BC?
The only thing wrong in this summary is at the start "Okabe has chosen to stay in the world line where Kurisu is dead". This isn't true. There are multiple Okabes, one for each world line, and the Okabe we follow in Steins;Gate 0 is the Okabe of the world line where Kurisu dies. He doesn't "choose to stay" in that world line - that's HIS world line, so he has no choice but to stay and try to fix it. He can't go to the world line where both Kurisu and Mayuri are saved, because that world line already has an Okabe, so it would cause a paradox. The moment the D-Mail is/isn't sent, the world lines split into the events of Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0 respectively, and there is an Okabe for each of those world lines. The only reason the Okabe from the original series was able to save both Kurisu and Mayuri is because the Okabe from the 0 series sent him the video message telling him how. :)
@@Bellany1337 I still dont get this tho, Okabe has "Reading Steiner", so if the steins;gate 0 Okabe succeded in sending Mayushi to slap him in the past and sent the video, wouldn't he be experiencing reading steiner in which he changes worldlines? Even tho the beta worldline still goes on by Okabe rescuing Mayushi and Suzuha, wouldn't the Steins;gate okabe Happy ending keeps the memory of steins;gate 0 Okabe's experience?
VOIZ CRACK He can’t though because I’m reality, Okabe died in 2025. Reading Steiner doesn’t work for the dead and in 2036 was when the SG0 Okabe sent the video to his past self. I’m order to prevent creating a time paradox, Okabe had to die in SG0 for the SG Okabe to make it to Steins Gate, so reading Steiner didn’t work on Okabe because he can’t remember his dead self’s memories.
I played the Steins;Gate 0 visual novel before the anime and I was already super confused and have to replay a lot of scene to know exactly what happened, this has to one of the hardest anime adaptation ever. Steins;Gate is still relatively linear, and 0 have multiple branches of the story that needs to play to understand how the true end happen. Props to the anime team for still making this somewhat understandable for those who didn't play the game.
Guys stop being edgy. The main timeline existed with happy ending called the Steins Gate meaning those alternative timelines doesn't exist anymore. All of those suffering time leaping 3000+ times is for the main timeline to have a good ending.
Basically; Our Mad Scientist in Steins;Gate 0 is the Okabe who may not be able to prevent Kurisu's death from his POV but over many years after realizing the importance of hardship, the plight and sufferings of World War III and the strong emotional connections to those he cares for from the bottom of his heart, three of them that really matters to him. Okabe was able to guide his other past counterpart at the end of Steins;Gate to exploit the loophole of the divergence to help achieve the Steins;Gate worldline so the first game's Okabe was able to achieve his happy ending with Kurisu!
I feel as though they have finished with this Okabe. I do know the visual novels has a lot more content (Steins;Gate Elite just came out on Switch the other day). But I’m unsure as to whether or not we’ll see this Okabe attempt to reach Steins;Gate
I think the 2025 version of okabe that goes back to save mayuri and suzuha, and that timeline itself, will cease to exist because the d-mail is actually sent now. I think that the writers kept an open ending for a lot of us to predict but this seems a little happy so 🤗
Can someone explain 10:32 for me? When okabe is in 2025, amadeus tells him that they know okabe will die that year. Also says okabe himself told them about this. How?
In SG, Okabe gives Mayuri his phone so it doesn't intertwine signals with the other Okabe in Ep1. In SG0, when Mayuri time travels with Suzuha, Mayuri (SG0) messages Mayuri (SG) through Okabe's phone that she is watching for him!
@@ernestfredisidto9539 true but it isnt underrated, its number 83 in myanimelist while the original is number 2 in popularity. I wouldn't call it underrated.
There is really one big thing, that bothers me in SG0. Why did they portray Yuki Amane in first episodes as a part of the Stratfor hunter team? Always when this helmet girl was wounded, Yuki was it too
@@Sweevee I dont know, it feels more like, they planed to do a plot about it but then simply drop it. However they forgot to delete those hints. I also wonder why Yuki doesnt look like the girl in the OVA.
@@elektrodj66 because the ova isn't canon?? "the official" suzuha mother(yuki) didn't exist yet(steins gate 0 vn released way years later) so the studio said "fuck it let's make a character that resemble suzuha and call it her mother"
i was thinking the whole anime that kagari is the daughter of Kurisu and Rintarou the whole time i remember Suzuha said that Kurisu and Rintarou will be both dead in the same year in the future. ,also there is no way that just a random Red head girl that is added in the anime.
It's actually an unused plot device from the VN, that wasn't adapted into the anime. Something about Kurisu's memories being planted into Kagari to trick Okabe into thinking he'd reached Steins;Gate - I can't really remember. Regardless, the anime adaptation discarded this side-plot, and it is simply a coincidence as far as the anime is concerned. :)
Koi that’s not a possibility, u remember when 2025 was about to enter the time machine and saw all his comrades including kagari? there she was next to mayumi. if his father would be okabe, why would she get adobded by mayushi.
Spoiler Alert: So, the series starts with Steins; Gate ep 1 where Okabe and Daru trying to build a time machine. They send multiple D-mails in the past to check whether their machine is working or not, but each of them comes with a drastic consequence and in the end, Mayuri dies. So, to save her Okabe time leaps again and again but realizes that all timelines converge into the same end result. He figures out that the only thing that can save Mayuri is to undo the D-mails they sent in the past. So, he starts doing it, but the first D-mail he sent was the reason Kurisu being alive. So undoing it will end up in a world without Kurisu. This world line is called the BETA world line. In Steins; Gate 0 we have shown the Beta world line and how Okabe has the guilt of killing Kurisu and always remains depressed. But later, he realizes that Mayuri dies in this world too and WW3 is inevitable... The only way to achieve Steins; Gate is to save both Kurisu and Mayuri and prevent WW3. Okabe time leaps over 3000 times to reach the state where he had a choice of saving Mayuri and Suzuha from the terrorist attack and they manage to escape into the past where Okabe has a choice of trying again to save Kurisu..... Now, we came to ep 23 of Steins; Gate where he again goes to the crime scene and manages to save Kurisu and achieve Steins; Gate. In the movie, it is shown that in Steins; Gate world line Okabe's mind is not stable and shifts from one world to another because of the continuous journey of time traveling he had been through. As a result, he wiped out of the existence in Steins; Gate but everyone around him stays and has some glimpses of him. Kurisu from the future again built a time machine and send Suzuha to convince the present Kurisu to save Okabe from existence. Kurisu went to the past and kissed a young Okabe and introduce him to the concept of mad scientist Hyouin Kyouma, which had a great impact on his life.... In the end, we see Kurisu meeting Okabe in a new timeline and said she is here to take him to the Steins; Gate and he said who is he to decide now... So, we can assume that she managed to save Okabe from wiping out of existence in the Steins; Gate.. Now, if you want to watch this masterpiece follow this order : Steins; Gate (ep 1-22) Steins; Gate ep 23B (which leads us to Steins; Gate 0) Steins; Gate (ep 23-24) Steins; Gate Movie Steins; Gate OVA.... I personally like OVA to be the ending as it has everyone living happily in the Steins; Gate. So, it can be assumed as the ep after the movie....
Um, one thing... How come the timeline of okarin that sends the videos even exists, after suzuha and mayushi travel with the timemachine? Wouldn't that require 2 actual timelines? This is confusing...? Shouldn't the one sending the videos be the one that got smaked in the face by mayushi? I thought that was implied... (however that does complicate things on kagari's end)
Edit: I found some information on some of these problems here old.reddit.com/r/steinsgate/comments/9j5bv7/wtf_just_happened/e6ot8s6/ look for "Answer me these questions:"
I completely agree with you. It was implied the Okabe who got slapped my Mayuri was the one who sent the video message from the future. HOWEVER they kinda retconned that in Steins;Gate 0. There are indeed multiple timelines/world lines. But again, this does muddle some things up in relation to how world lines work. All in all, they retconned it, from Okabe getting slapped and sending the message to himself from the future; To an Okabe from another world line sending the message instead.
@@Sweevee after some reading i can only assume the smack in the face had no large result in the worldline (thus not changing it enough to change worldlines) If that's true then indeed we're still with the same okabe... Does make me question if operation arclight had any use at all... if the solution will be the videos in the end, not the smack by mayuri 0.o
Exactly what I thought. The smack may not have been necessary. Simply showing Okabe the video would probably have given him enough motivation to try save Kurisu again. Nevertheless, I love how obscure the show is, it makes for some great theorising within the community ^_^
@@Sweevee Now when I thought about that. What if the very first time when Mayushi and Sahara went back in time and werent blown up and made it in 2010 but Mayushi didnt convinced herself into slaping Okarin. Second time slap happened but it's wasnt enough or again Mayushi didnt convinced herself. It could also explain Mayushi's obsession with her blaming herself in future for not slaping Okarin. Also It lead to other question why after seeing them blown up Okarin couldnt send himself back second time? P.S. Sorry for my broken english
REALLY GREAT! Question though: Where did the 2025 Okabe come from? If it the one we've been following the whole time, when did he do this? I don't understand :D
The Okabe from 2025 IS the Okabe we’ve been following throughout Steins;Gate 0. Rewatch the video from 12:18 and that should explain everything. If u have any other questions feel free to ask away ^_^
@@Sweevee thx for reply; I think I understand it, although it's so difficult to follow at times with all the different worlds! What do you see as the ultimate final of the grand story? I like to believe it's okabe in steins gate world who ends up with Kurisu (and them actually being together!) so like in the ova of SG and movie :)
So in stein;gate 0 after arklight the worldline didn’t change so he go into the future and d-mailed the video after time travelling to save mayuri So now there are 2 okabe one in the Stein;gate and one in the beta timeline
Don’t bother. It’s not that great and it kinda retcons the original Steins;Gate a bit. So if you’re happy with the ending of Steins;Gate. Don’t bother watching it ^_^
the happy ending is the ultimate ending. this just takes place before episode 24 of the original show. it’s showing the alternate timeline of him sending himself the video explaining both can be saved
He didnt reached steins gate because they have to send the kid suzuha in 2011 during year 2036 and the moment they send her, she will act like a dmail and world line will change to steins gate
Great summary. But i have one question..amadeus was deleted to stop the russians. But still in the end,the russian helicopter came to shoot the time machine..why though?

No, he did make it. One of the established rules is that *one and only one worldline can be active at any given time.* Once one worldline is shifted to another, the previous worldline gets overwritten by the new wordline and reverts to its original state as a possibility that a worldline can branch onto. This explains why certain character can have some fragments of the previous wordline. If there were more than one wordline active, those memory fragments wouldn't exist.
@@pressfinchat no he didn't actually as he is in the past he didn't rewritten the other okabe
And either most probably died alone in the far long past in that desert place(shown muliple times, and forshadowed in original S;G beginning of ep12 of the anime that place in 0's ending "Last Game" or got lost in the infinite sea of time as fuel is not enough..
@@huh3719 nope as he stayed in the long past the worldline change in the future didn't affect him

Wait what seriously
Damn that’s chilling
How do u know he stayed there...

As in both the Beta and Steins Gate timeline, Okabe goes back and saves Suzuha and Mayuri, this means that the fact that he stayed behind makes perfect sense.

The one stuck in 70 million years ago should be also the okabe from the beta time line but the one that has experienced everything up to the anime to this point but still failed to save kurisu
Thus he has his white labcoat in 2025 and records the 'decieve the world video' for okabe in 2010.
When Okabe laughed again at the end part of series gave me chills.
We need a steins gate 0 II when we follow 2025 okabe after he saves Mayuri and Suzuha
That would be a dream come true!
waitttt correct me if im wrong but only suzuha and mayuri got back in time since 0 okabe stayed back this is proven by how the time machine can only carry 2 person...now you might be asking shouldn't mayuri and okabe the one to go back to the future?but thats wrong because okabe wouldn't want to erase the okabe that reached steins gate essentially if he goes back to the future he would overwrite the steins gate okabe since once a version of okabe reaches steins gate all other worldlines would stop this has been stated again and again in the vn...correct me if im wrong people but the only anime content we could get is the gamma worldline story(where. okabe is a rounder and later in the timeline would become a dictator) or a story of an okabe in the steins gate timeline

For those of you who are saying it's depressing that the Zero Okabe and countless other Okabes didn't make it to Steins;Gate, hear me out:
All of the Okabes and their friends made it. Those memories fragments can't exist if Steins;Gate follow the parallel worlds interpretation.
thats really nice to read
in Steins Gate we saw how the moment Okabe sent a text back in time the world line got overwritten and he remembered everything going into the new world line . so that would mean the 0 world line got over written the moment 0 Okabe sent the video message to the Steins Gate Okabe ? another question . whenever Okabe used to send D-mail , a new worldline used to come into existence where everyone knows what happened but Okabe only had the memory of previous world line just like he didn't know whether Luka was a girl or a boy when the world line shifted although everyone else knew it . which brings me to the question that the moment when 0 Okabe sent the video message to Okabe , 0 line stopped and 0 Okabe shifted to the Steins gate okabe which means the Okabe who had the happy ending will (in future) suddenly lose the memories because the memories of 0 Okabe will enter his brain ? lol I don't know if I explained my questions properly or not but I'm confused af
Anmol Thakur indeed

Aah what a great story.
Only the fate of okabe, Suzuha n mayuri who are in 18000 BC is unknown as they gotta wait 20036 years to reach SG.
but they are technically not waiting cause the time machine comes at the exact time too.... maybe just 2 3 secs later

Being able to see more depressed and stressed Okabe is the favorite part of 0 for me lol
I have no idea why, but I just really like the, wearing a black suit instead of a white lab coat.
You are quite interested in steins gate huh
I really loved both seasons, but I was so lost. These summaries are really helpful. Thanks!!
This season was a bit all over the place. I'm glad I could help ^_^
Definitely one of my most favorite/memorable Anime of all time! ❤️
Mayuri's slap connected everything ❤️
It's a bad bitch slap after all 🤣
As someone who played the game, I do think the Anime adaptation is even better.
Thanks a lot man really appreciate the effort now I can see the whole series being put together so perfectly omg
Thank you so much for this review! it helped me understand the series much more
I watched the entire Steins;Gate 0 series thinking it was the original Steins;Gate because the site I watched it on HAD NAMED IT WRONG........
So that's what I understood from the video, there are 2 world lines in the ending:
-Steins gate
-the "SG:zero" world line
In the Steins gate worldline:every main character is alive, Kurisu barely knows Okabe since they just met, Kagari isn't born yet, will born in the future probably around 2025-2026,Okabe hasn't met Maho yet
In the SG:zero worldline from what I understood:Okabe from the future travels to the 18000 BC to rescue the Mayuri and Suzuha from 2010, brings them back to their time, 2010,and goes back to his time 2025 where everyone is alive including Mayuri and Suzuha that he just rescued except for Kurisu
Correct me if I'm wrong plz
Who knows.
This is my interpretation of the events, its possible that I am wrong.
iOrexO where does okabe go? 2036?
@@tytanm-2380 I think he does goes to 2036 but then immediately his reading steiner would kick in because then the s;g worldline would then become active. He cannot go back to the crew until young suzuha leaves for the past. Again this is just my interpretation. I could be wrong.
This is absolutely amazing 🤩.

Thanks for this. I missed the detail where the reason that Okabe was able to go back in his original world line or the beta one was because of the d-mail sent to delay Kurisu. And also the reason why she's with Okabe in that world line is because she arrived on time for that confession. Love you bro
Dude you deserved more subs
here is what im 87% sure happens at the end:
1. the people living in beta world line got their memories transferred to the steins gate line in 2036 only AFTER suzuha makes her trip to the past (as shown in og steins gate). this is because the d-mail created in 2025 by itself is not enough to move world lines.
2. im fairly certain okabe brings mayuri and suzuha back to 2025 since he for one stated that he will bring them *back* and also promised kagari that she will see mayuri again.
3. as for okabe, i can see 3 possible actions he took: a) he stayed in the event horizon and died by himself. b) he traveled to another era to live by himself as so not to overwrite steins gate line okabe's memories with reading steiner. c) he actually returns to 2025 and does indeed overwrite steins gate line okabe's memory in 2036.
keep in mind the beta line does not move to the steins gate line UNTIL 2036 in the beta world since that is when the conditions for moving world lines are met.
Ngl I regret watching steins gate 0 because in the og it was such a nice ending but it’s kinda a sad one in steins gate 0
God, i love Steins;Gate so much.
Wow this was phenomenal!
But what was the purpose of him going to 18000bc?
@@JGEAR Just read the comments below you'll get your answers.
Again nice video, keep up bro 👍🏼
Will do :D
Great Video! You deserve more subs tbh
Okabe from stein gate 0 didn’t find the happy ending but he was okay with how things ended for him but made a video to send it to okabe from another world(original stein gate) so he could find the true ending of saving both the girls.
This is one of the best youtube summaries I've watched! Dude you should make more.
Probably
Thx I wasn't about to watch steins gate zero cuz I binged steins gate in one day too much emotions to handle
Possibly ^_^. Also you are correct “Steins;Gate 0 follows the alternate ending of OG Steins;Gate go get back to OG Steins;Gate’s happy ending.”
@@AlvincoAetherlico ik when i saw jelly fied shiina i was like wtf
Nice video man, u should make another summary videos
The ‘in summary’ series will certainly be continuing ^>^
Steins;Gate for me ended up in a list of things that I would hope for the rest of my life ever getting more of
Guys stop being edgy.
You deserve way more subs
If only I uploaded more :P but thank chu
nice explanation dude, I forgot about this great anime and now I remembered all the fvk that happened xD
Is it possible for another season to happen of this okabe trying to reach steins gate aswell?
I feel as though they have finished with this Okabe. I do know the visual novels has a lot more content (Steins;Gate Elite just came out on Switch the other day). But I’m unsure as to whether or not we’ll see this Okabe attempt to reach Steins;Gate
@@Sweevee as long as the chances aren't 0
I think the 2025 version of okabe that goes back to save mayuri and suzuha, and that timeline itself, will cease to exist because the d-mail is actually sent now. I think that the writers kept an open ending for a lot of us to predict but this seems a little happy so 🤗
Can someone explain 10:32 for me? When okabe is in 2025, amadeus tells him that they know okabe will die that year. Also says okabe himself told them about this. How?
Oh no! You missed another sexy warrior, or maybe the sexiest, Luka! My boy!
He is so damn precious ❤️
In SG, Okabe gives Mayuri his phone so it doesn't intertwine signals with the other Okabe in Ep1. In SG0, when Mayuri time travels with Suzuha, Mayuri (SG0) messages Mayuri (SG) through Okabe's phone that she is watching for him!

There is really one big thing, that bothers me in SG0. Why did they portray Yuki Amane in first episodes as a part of the Stratfor hunter team? Always when this helmet girl was wounded, Yuki was it too
Hinting that Yuki Anane was part of Stratfor was merely a red herring :)
@@Sweevee I dont know, it feels more like, they planed to do a plot about it but then simply drop it. However they forgot to delete those hints. I also wonder why Yuki doesnt look like the girl in the OVA.
@@elektrodj66 because the ova isn't canon?? "the official" suzuha mother(yuki) didn't exist yet(steins gate 0 vn released way years later)
so the studio said "fuck it let's make a character that resemble suzuha and call it her mother"
omg HOW could I have forgotten about that goddamned helicopter, that mf showed up every 10 seconds to blow up the main characters it felt like lol
My question is why does Kagari look exactly like Kurisu? Is it just me or did they completely ignore this in the series, it can't be a coincidence
It’s simply a coincidence. There is no confirmed/official reason why they look alike ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i was thinking the whole anime that kagari is the daughter of Kurisu and Rintarou the whole time i remember Suzuha said that Kurisu and Rintarou will be both dead in the same year in the future. ,also there is no way that just a random Red head girl that is added in the anime.
Setzuen oh shit well now I have a reason to check out the VN, thanks!
Koi that’s not a possibility, u remember when 2025 was about to enter the time machine and saw all his comrades including kagari? there she was next to mayumi. if his father would be okabe, why would she get adobded by mayushi.
Fun fact: Kagari encouraged Okabe to cheer up Mayuri when her grandma passed away.
Bruh I wheezed when u did Mr Brauns edit
Thus, the name of the music, 'Messenger from Zero'. In the truest sense, this Okabe is only a messenger.
I love this anime best one
Man it's already 2020 and here I am...
I hope we're in the Steins Gate Worldline lest WWIII be upon us!
Spoiler Alert:
So, the series starts with Steins; Gate ep 1 where Okabe and Daru trying to build a time machine.
Now, if you want to watch this masterpiece follow this order :
Steins; Gate (ep 1-22)
Steins; Gate ep 23B (which leads us to Steins; Gate 0)
Steins; Gate (ep 23-24)
Steins; Gate Movie
Steins; Gate OVA....
I personally like OVA to be the ending as it has everyone living happily in the Steins; Gate. So, it can be assumed as the ep after the movie....
So the movie didn’t come out after season 1 ?? I have to find the OVA
where is the movie?
Good content man, feels sad that u only have so little followers and subs. Keep up the good work.
good job
Thank chu ^_^
Uhhggh my heart, again! The feels..
Edit: I found some information on some of these problems here
old.reddit.com/r/steinsgate/comments/9j5bv7/wtf_just_happened/e6ot8s6/
look for "Answer me these questions:"
@@Sweevee after some reading i can only assume the smack in the face had no large result in the worldline (thus not changing it enough to change worldlines)
If that's true then indeed we're still with the same okabe...
Mayuri and Suzuha didn't go to a random point but run out of fuel, they were thrown to a random point BECAUSE they ran out of fuel.
KSK Yim I agree with you, Okabe from the OG Steins;Gate must have gotten back together with Kurisu (as evident from the OVA and movie).

So now there are 2 okabe one in the Stein;gate and one in the beta timeline
