I started the first episode last week thinking it would be as bad as the previous adaptations of others.. But as soon as he did the first 'gum gum... Pistol'... I was hooked and finished the show in 2 days
No matter how this adaption goes, inaki has already proven he's the right person to play Monkey D Luffy. His personality is almost an exact match. I wish him the best in his journey

I would say that Iñaki Godoy is a very lucky young man to be able to achieve something that most of One Piece fans can ever dreamed of. And now I can see why Mr. Oda chose him to play Luffy 😊. I cannot wait for the next stop, is he going to meet Mr. Oda?

Goddamn! Iñaki has so much energy and is so happy to be there, it's infectious! Even if the series as a whole turns out to be crap, Iñaki has pretty much earned the respect of "One Piece" fans regardless.
The directing will also be important. That Last Airbender movie had great casting for Aang, a joyful little boy, but then M.Night Shyamalan directed everyone to be much more serious then their cartoon counterpart as he treated the movie like a historical fantasy epic, when it was supposed to be a joyful adventure.

THIS is how an actor should act when cast in a movie Grateful, enthusiastic, excited...everything! I will watch anything this guy does, love the enthusiasm. 10/10.

I just finished the LA series (I know super late) but I had to comment that this young man gave such a stellar performance. I had never really interacted with One Piece before the Neftlix series (and I'm not super into anime) but this guy and his castmates were so damn likeable as their characters it made me love the show. Godoy gives off so much infectious enthusiasm as Luffy that it's unreal on the screen. Hats off!
