Faginrs500 MrOreo76 RGB by default on the PS2 is a confusing matter. 15KHz signals (240p/288p/480i/576i) require composite video on a regular SCART cable. Testing via my NEC XM2960 and component cables have shown that 31KHz signals (480p and up) use something called "Sync on Green". I'm sure Fagnirs already knows about the matter, but without doing a lot of very precise modding, it doesn't seem possible to get RGBHV output (unlike the PS1, where it's stupidly-easy to add separate sync).
Faginrs500 I would like such a lead, though I would also need colorburst stripping from composite so my NEC monitot can actually use raw composite sync. Can the lead also do this?
they are strike eagle nuts, meant to sharpen one's eyesite to be like the Eagle's, so you could strike your enemies and avoid all the pink bullets, thats deluxe,
Great video mate! Well done on doing the PSU mod - I told you it was easy! ;-) The PS2 works with it! I haven't been blanking you with your last email you sent me dude - just been ill over the last week and only just got back on-line properly today. I'll reply over the next couple of days. :-)
i hear ya, I saw a video on you tube of this crt tech explaning everything about them...a truly wonderful technology....Barium emmting a cloud of electron shot near the speed of light....hehe...so I sure picked up another....If it were up to me I would have a room full of them... but then I would be sent to pyschological evaluation...
hey nice find on the pvn man, i was looking for one for ages and ended up having to ship one from the USA to Australia it sucks but you just cant find them here. i also got my hands on a Super Emotia, but no power adapter unfortunately could you please tell me the serial number of the PSU so i can hunt one down, thanks
yea man, youre getting out of the loop Shawn, we, the you tube retro community hope you'll come back to your senses soon enough, we need our gaming guru, the scaling shaman, the pixel Pied Piper....
Hi there, I've got an Extron Super Emotia coming in the mail right now without a power supply. Any chance you could give a better look at how you made the PSU?
oh look who's back from the dead! so you say the ps2 works? it doesnt for me...I use the scart to sync strike, there's image but it moves rapidly across the screen...and the lights on the emotia input keeps shifting between 1 to 4....
Hello man, I did it excatly aaccording tutorial I found online, just google it, I can show it, the thing is it's packed now and on the way across the sea, so I can do it only in a month or so...
Ignore what I said - it was because I was ill!!! lol It won't work with a PS2 as you're not feeding the Emotia a RGBHV signal from the PS2. Sorry mate.... I was all confused with the Extron RGB unit.
The Extron Super Emotia looks like a superb piece of kit! :)
"I decide everything in terms of xbox" made me laugh :)
Good video, id love that set up for playing my 360.
Very nice mate, those nuts look amazing. That Super Emotia looks pretty good too :)

As you allude to, the PS2 uses SoG. You can buy a special lead that decodes this for you, but there are also other ways of doing it.

thank you, I had to trade my first born child for that

Thanks for the video. Do you have a part number for the power supply? What are the volts and amps of the power supply? Can you send a picture?

It's always good to find someone else who likes to play Shmups with nuts in their mouth.
Mmmm.. I'll have to have a look at mine. You have got the output on the PS2 set to RGB and not component?
