TIP: When making Boosters in the Basic Fabricator, a Booster = 1x virus which in turn costs 1x crystal + Ingredient, but if you make the viruses in the Virus Sample Analyzer, it only costs 1x ingredient + some battery power. This saves using a lot of crystals in the long run.
*I got the game yesterday and played all the way through to the underground*
One tip I like to share has to do with the turbines. You can place 6on one room block. Try planting one at the edge and than one underneath and so on.
6 can fit perfectly on a single room block
