1.Powder out Piece of Mosquito coil.
2. Mix baking soda with coil
3.Powder out raw peanut
4. Cut ripe tomato in half and place coil mixture on both pieces .
5. Sprinkle Crushed Peanut over coil & Baking soda.
6. Place in area where rat frequent.
7. I would crushed out a bulb to dust and add to the mixture

I heard mice hate peppermint so I have peppermint sachets around my garage to keep them away. I found that putting in snap traps with bait can actually attract them inside so now it put the peppermint out to repel them.

@helenholdsworth6407 I agree that for those in certain areas of the country that are prone to flood water and high rainfall, you are correct. I did
my own research on Leptospirosis. The state I reside in, we have other diseases that are a more common issue than Leptospirosis. However, it is a nasty problem no matter how you look at it for everyone involved with a mice/rat infestation issue. Sometimes, drastic measures have to be taken if the natural ones are exhausted and fail to work.
