I was 13 years old and desperately wanted to be here but too young so I listened live on the radio with the lights off. A magical experience. I thought I was Liam for the next 2/3 years.

At the time Oasis was at there peak and I think they just released their best track a few months before , don’t look back in anger .
When they played this song I was so happy but elated to another level when octopuses garden was blended in to the end I cried .
A perfect mix of good times , emotional times and great music .

I was 12 when Oasis played knebworth. I soo wanted to go but too young. So I laid on my bed and listened to Oasis make history on the radio. Still play this back now 24 years later!!

I was there for this. Unbelievable day. Little did i know it would be era defining. Noel later said he hated the harmonica. For me, it made the song and defined the sound of the gig. Set it apart.
As usual re: their musical tastes, I'm completely with Noel re: the harmonica, in the exact same way that I concurred 100% with Liam when he stated that he finds the saxophone "a bit creepy" & "pervy"...
Yeah, the harmonica makes it sound like the theme song for a children's TV show. Awful.
Absolutely regardless of all nostalgia, drama and fanboyism behind it, this live interpretation is the perfect musical water mark of why Oasis meant what they meant in the 90's. Just a celebration of british rock. Long live UK music. I'm from Mexico.

Yeah I was 6 in 1999, at least those born about 5-10 years before me got to actually enjoy the cool stuff of the 90's and not the lame stuff like Barney the stupid purple dinosaur.

What a night that was and this song was the stand out for me a complete materclass. Still have it on in the car all the time the whole gig. Seen oasis loads of times but will never beat this gig. 18 at the time and was fucking loving it. Great memories!

Wow!! Fukn top! I suppose the biggest, most "important" gig Oasis ever did in here in America was either their sold out shows at Madison Square Garden, n then at the enormous, legendary Hollywood Bowl. Gotta admit tho, would've preferred this Oasis rather than Oasis "Mach II. However, Gem n Andy were razor sharp and Liam was up for it, n surprisingly, so was the YANKEE CROWD!! You lot know we are notorious for showing zero enthusiasm at a rock n roll show, but I totally agree. But yeah, anyone will tell ya, when Liam took that stage, approached his mic, n said, "It may have took us a fookin while mate... But we're finally fukn here man, (!)" thatwas when you KNEW, this is gonna be a top fukn rock n roll show! The whole gig is up on RUclips. It's the 2005 gig, NOT the '08 show. And the Hollywood Bowl!! The Hollywood Bowl is just tha fookin Hollywood Bowl, in it?!! An enormous, oddly laid out amphitheatre in the most "superstar" laden area of Los Angeles, CA there is. Period. And to have finally reached this level of touring success Stateside with their 6th, fukn SIXTH, studio album...?!! Make NO MISTAKE, those were both landmark shows in America, for both the fans and also for the band as well. Hell, just like LG commenting on the MSG show, in LA, Noely G says to the crowd, "I'd just like to say, it's nice to finally play a REAL fukn gig out here after years of toiling away in nightclubs and shit..." I know I've got a looong comment here, but I'm just a U.S. fan who was Madferrit just as much as any U.K. fan, and I WANTED ppl to know then, I want them to now. Oasis saved and inspired me from about 15 all the way to present day. So I'll FINALLY sign off, but I gotta say, " Oasis DID do BIG, important gigs in America, and they should be commended for them gigs as well. Also, you can RUclips Oasis in Fairfax (Washington DC) '98, or Chicago '98 and you'll see them playing to sold arenas (Patriot Center did 10, 000+ Allstate Arena in Chicago did 18,000+) at the heighth of their fame... and of their infamy as well 😉 They're in top form n having fun too. D.C. went especially Madferrit during the opening tune,Be Here Now. Oasis ABSOLUTELY cracked America. Period. Full stop. This American, n MANY more, adore England's gift to '90s rock n roll. Oasis was an ambitious band with the tunes to back it up. For a brief time even, they were the biggest band in the world!! N let's not forget, they've also sold out the very spiritual, very legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver too!! And hell, I know in some areas, like to the old South, they still play more "mid-size" venues, but I swear to God, if I'm in Nashville, it's a MUCH BIGGER honor to play the one and only Ryman Auditorium, rather than playing some random hockey arena any fukn time! We love you Oasis... THE U.S. LOVES THE U.K.'s OASIS!!!💯💯
