Evil Bakura and Marik were the best villains in the original Yugioh. They had the best motives (Bakura wanted the 7 millenium items to amaken Zorc the Lord of Darkess) and Marik wanted to the Pharaoh's power (3 egyptian Gods and millenium puzzle).
Well in the OG Japanese Dub, Marik just wanted to see the Pharaoh suffer because of the fact his father was crazy about his family tradition about being a tomb keeper and enduring abuse.
