Tbh the Deities just care about his actions and nothing else. In the Hoopa movie, Arcues literally had interfered in the space-time rift to give him some extra time to let the other pokemons escape. Although the weird thing in that movie is Dialga and Palkia are almost powerless on the rift even while it's shown in Pokemon Darkrai Rises that when Dialga and Palkia collide, that time only the rift occurs and both of them have control over the rift.

I feel it's worth pointing out that the director of the first movie has outright said he doesn't die (he turns to stone). The whole "Ash dies in the first movie" thing is an idea that's mostly exclusive to the western side of the fandom. It doesn't help that the whole Winds of Water/Tears of Life story doesn't exist in the Japanese version of the movie either. Though I admit it was a half-decent attempt at explaining the end of the movie.

The blob is actually an antibody from an ancient, living tree where Mew lives in the Lucario movie. It is created to eliminate outside or foreign contamination within the tree should any part of it is damage. Like how our antibodies react to germs in our bodies. The tree presumes the humans as a threat thus spawned those antibodies to exterminate the humans but the pokemon spared.
0:50 I remember that movie, it’s part of black and white where there’s this pillar that emits life and when it go higher and higher the range of the pillar shrinks and things outside that pillar range turn to stone. Anyways, someone used a bunch of those green blobs to lift the pillar into space. This is also the movie where everyone was like “what the hell Ash? Why not catch victini?”
