I think both this buggy and the eachine are both great entry level brushless rc's for someone who doesn't want to spend the money on a name brand. For $150 USD you can't beat either one of these, brushless, independent 2.4ghz radio/receiver and a three wire servo, lipo and charger and aluminum parts. Great buy 👍👍
I was looking forward to this episode, I bought 124019 for my son (I think I'm more happy) and I am very positively surprised, this is my first such rc and it's great, suspension, steering, speed, we used to have a toy up to 15km / h but wltoys it some rocket😀
My WLtoys 124019 body is exactly the same, totally crooked. Same problem the ESC pushing the body up on one side. Been meaning to upgrade to brushless electronics.
I'm gonna have to pick one of these up soon! Wltoys was the first rc car I bought years after my only kinda hobby grade at the time (1994) Nikko Avenger 2wd monster truck. It had a 540 look and ran on 7.2 volt stick packs. Shoot it cost over $200 dollars 💵 from Walmart. The wltoys was way better it was a L959 buggy. It was quick and could jump, buy it broke the rear hub on a big jump and thats when it started... my chase to make it faster and more reliable... it is a solid 2wd 1/12 but the gear box has limits, being g made of all plastic parts and no beari gs on the reduction gear it fails at high power. Sorry for the long comment. 😅
I'm a 1/8th man I brought the tiny a959 n looked so fast. It was 40k but seemed just as fast as my 1/8 80kph. Scaled speed it is 👍👍. Getting a love for small cars now eym
Another great video Phil, informative review, fantastic slo mo video shots 💯 always looking forward to watching your next video, Keep up your fantastic reviews my friend ! 👌🏼
Really interesting to see this as our RC journey started with a 124019 but much tho we loved it, it didn’t stand up to repeated off road bashing, so rather than get this, our 1/12 fix is going to come from the LC Racing Embt you like so much. They’re only £160 at the moment which actually feels like a better deal than the £110 or so this “017” is running at.
7:20 signal not very good? Sounds like the old protocol which fits with the A929-124 receivers I mentioned. Use a lipo in the transmitter solves this for the most part. The old protocol is not very optimized as uses a nrf24 clone from Bekin. Curious to know what color the transmitter power led is. Tells if this is old (red) or new (white) protocol

I've got the EAT-04, (itself a rebranded Feiyue FY-03), and also a ton of quadcopter stuff with their name on it. They don't get it right 100% of the time, but they regularly put out quality hardware at great prices. Their big VTx's and Whoop Camera/VTx combos are epic value for money, and I'll tilt my decision based on the brand. (I know, it's likely made in the same place, but still).

Is the transmitter backwards compatible with the brushed 2 in 1 esc, and vice versa?
I’m not sure mate
When you say need grease in the diffs, do you mean in the inner diff or in the diff-house?
Any idea what is the wheelbase? The idea is to build 1/10 rally car, so the question is if the standard 1/10 body fits.
Howaye doing , I have just ordered one of these, I’m excited to get my hands on it, and I’m using it as a teacher to see if Im good before I hit the racing scene, which is my plan in the near future. I’ve a lot to learn, and I assume once I hit the tracks and start talking to guys there I’ll be up to scratch in no time. However, my knowledge is very limited right now. So I wanted to ask yourself, or any subs if they know what capacity of battery can this car handle since I want to purchase some 3’s for this, can it handle 3’s and what is the most AH it can handle?
Excuse me for asking but what is 3S I’ve heard you mention it in several of your videos and how do you activate it? Thanks
Bro what 4 mode button function on the transmeter remote?
It’s for one of their older 4ws mini crawlers… 4 steering modes

Cogging problem is coming from the motor or the ESC ?
what is the mode switch for next to power button on radio ?
Nice one! Interested more in the 124016 but knowing they have the same “inside”, so you know if they support 3S batteries as you briefly mention in the video...?
I’m sure they will support them… going to try in the next few days
