I was about to lol
That makes heavy cream lol
Frrrr
Lol I did that before
Thanks for this! I live in the UK and buttermilk isn't really something I can find that easily here unless I'm at a larger well known supermarket chain, so thank you for making such an easy quick vid that I can follow
Of course!
Just use yogurt and dilute it a bit with milk, it works better
Here in the Netherlands many people consume it. I like it more than normal milk
Buttermilk is made with yogurt and water, 1:4 proportion, churn it in mixie and garnish with salt and pepper.
Yogurt and water? No... buttermilk is simply made by churning butter from cream...
Not yogurt, but curd
@cjwest10159 Correct, it is the leftover product once the fats have been removed from the milk to make butter. Buttermilk is also a great way to rehydrate when low on electrolytes.
Wow! Thank you so much for this tip. Love your channel.
You're welcome!
Alternatively from white vinegar, lime juice or cream of tartar
Butter milk
200ml fresh milk
1sdm cuka/air lemon
This is super helpful. Thank you

If it’s a substitute for buttermilk how is actual buttermilk made?
Buttermilk is just fermented milk/cream. This is just a trick to get very similar results :)
Isn’t buttermilk usually a lot thicker?
Substitute
Thanks
But in this video you are using buttermilk, and adding vinegar to it! 🤔 💭 the carton says buttermilk on it. Can I turn heavy cream into buttermilk? Thank you! Appreciate your video. ❤
Edit: Sorry, I just re-watched, and realized you only held up the buttermilk, but you used milk! 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
No worries ☺️
Bro the milk got skimmed fr i can't be the only one-
Homemade is the best. Perfect and tasty
It really is! Thanks!
Especially for fried chicken
It's bad milk, how can we use it in a cake? I don't understand
The acidity in buttermilk adds tangy flavor to balance all kinds of sweet baked treats. It also activates baking soda, producing the gas that makes dough or batter rise.
Hello 🤙🏽 can I use brown vinegar?
Hi Paul, I am not too sure. I think that will change the flavor too much. Making it unusable for baking recipes.
Thank you now i have everything for my mom to make homemade chicken 😊
In Turkey, it is consumed at almost every meal except breakfast. is our national drink😂
best anime on god

@@matthewchow4991 No…it’s the tradition Buttermilk. In India it’s called Chaas or Chach. It’s very simple really, it’s made by blending Water and curd along with some salt and a few spices like Cilatnro or mint leaves, cumin seeds, black pepper etc.
@@MIHIRSK-lm6qf he’s talking about his appearance since op is half Indian half Korean, you chach
But where is the butter... lol.😆😆😆

@@Magical_Dishes_Official you're so silly.
Will it soften hard grains like real buttermilk does?
I am not too sure. I have not tested that out yet.
Won’t the milk split?
I have not had this issue :)
Also known as clabbered milk.
Even though its simple i appreciate you
Thank you!
Literally every places except Westeros it is made with yogurt and water. I wasted 4$ just to get sour milk :(
Can i use lemon juice
This is not butter milk and it actually isnt real hard to make with some heavy cream... you are however really close to making paneer cheese😂
I dont have white vinegar 😂
One cup curd with 4 cups water some rosted cumin seeds few mint leaves and some salt and you have the tastiest butter milk of ur life ready
It’s not butter milk, it’s the process of making cottage cheese, by heating milk and add vinegar, residue left is whey.😂😂
Can I use 2% milk?
Yes you can, but whole milk is preferred :)
We say majjige in India
I think i put too many vinegar until it's cheese
Ur not make a natural buttermilk indian trick is best
Yuck 🤢
This is great if you need buttermilk
Looks like whey more than buttermilk
Will it has a bitter aftertaste?
But full milk or half milk
Huh? Why would milk need vinegar to make buttermilk?
Traditionally, buttermilk was the fermented liquid leftover after churning cream into butter. These days, store-bought buttermilk is typically made from milk with added lactic bacteria, which produce lactic acid. So the fast way to do is to add something acidic like vinegar or lemon juice to milk to get the same affect.
What milk did you use?
I used 2% milk
Very helpful
Can I use any milk?
2 % works but whole milk would be best :)
Can u replace the vinegar with lemon?
Yes. You can use lemon juice.
Yes you can :)
That’s disgusting
Do I use warm milk, cold milk or room temp?
Any kind it doesn't matter
Can I use apple cider vinegar with the mother
Hmm, I am not too sure. It will have a different taste to it if you use apple cider vinegar.
