No. Don't expand the committee. Fire ALL OF THEM and hire strictly football people.
Hire strictly "college" football people.

Take the human element out all together and get rid of the conflicts of interest and get rid of the biases. Go back to the computer model(BCS) to determine who the best teams are. Its real simple and people are making this harder than it really is
@@AndrewClements-qy6ho I could deal with that
@@AndrewClements-qy6ho exactly, the problem with BCS was the fact that only 2 teams could play for it all, now there will be 12 teams
Im glad Urban mentioned it. Were about to go from fighting over whos 4-6 to fighting over whos 10-16
The thirteenth team is gonna be pissed
With any luck, it’ll be FSU again, that’d be hilarious
lol it’ll be that way every year and it really was no different before only in the manner that the teams that were left out will be pissed but I am glad there will be more footvakl
You called it on FSU.
This should have been done decades ago
So what the time between the games . Do we have to wait a month just for the first round and then it’s back to back to back weeks of playoff football ? Also I’ve never understood the month long wait for the first round and then the natty is a week after
First Round (On-Campus)

Saturday, December 21, 2024: Three Games (early afternoon, late afternoon and evening)

Wednesday, January 1, 2025: Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl (early afternoon), Rose Bowl Game (late afternoon) and Allstate Sugar Bowl (evening)
Semifinals
Thursday, January 9, 2025: Capital One Orange Bowl (evening)
Friday, January 10, 2025: Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic (evening)
CFP National Championship
Monday, January 20, 2025: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia
@@cwaba9569from what you said some teams could play in two bowl games?
@@brianw5336 if you make it to the semi finals or national championship you are guaranteed to play in two ny6 bowls yes
That’s not how it would look. The 6 conference champions would take the top 6 spots with the top 4 getting a bye. The byes are correct but Liberty would jump to 6. That drops everyone else down a spot.
I kind of hope that when I'm playing EA Sports College Football that there will be at least 5 13-0 conference champions, and I don't get a bye week in the College Football Playoff. One more game, another opportunity to dominate.
Good point that the 12th spot will be highly debated.
Okay this will be a Problem, too in the next Season but one Problem is better than many Problems with 4 Teams or not? They should let go the Committee and all 12 Spots should be decided just by the Records! When there are a 13-0 Team it must be in the Playoffs!Don`t care about if this Team comes from the Sun Belt or the Mid-American Conference!Okay I know these Teams play against weaker Teams than Georgia or Bama in the SEC so there must be a Strength of Schedule thats clear! We cant set a Team like Chanticleers with 13-0 over a Team from the SEC with 1 Loss! Why they dont play a "BeforePlayoff"Games with the Winners of the weaker Conferences? Then the best 2 of them gets in the next Round in which 10 Teams from the better Conferences wait! Then all Teams from weaker Conferences with 13-0 or 12-1 have A Chance to get in the Real Playoffs! This Year Liberty Flames have win all Games with No loss but they are just ranked at Nr.13 or 14!With this new Playoffs they will have A Chance to be National Champion at the End in a fair Way!So many Teams have a Record without one loss but then they play just a Bowl Game which has no meaning! This isn`t fair!
@@Amon-RaSt.Detroit D3 football has a 32 game tournament. Every conference championship is an automatic qualifier and currently I think 4 discretionary at-large bids are given (which creates controversy and complaints 😉). I like this model, win your conference you are in. Conference play then is part of the tournament, win and you are in. If there was a 16 team tournament, the regular season should be shortened. Some D3 conferences that two divisions during the championship game, might have the #2 play the #2, and #3 play the #3 ….
If the CFP committee is redesigned, the first things that need to be changed are the following;
-Injuries are NOT to be considered during the selection process
-Any team that is undefeated, regardless of conference, is guaranteed a spot in the CFP
4 teams went undefeated last year😂 liberty. and you say they needed to be in last year? Them over FSU?
This would incentivize teams to schedule the easiest teams possible
12 teams is too many. 5 conference champions and the best of the group of 6. The experts should only get to pick two teams that didn't win their way in, not 6. Looking at that list, we don't need Missouri, Mississippi, Penn State, Oregon, or Ohio State. I have no problem with Georgia and I think we all know that, of the remaining teams, the selection committee is going to put in Ohio State regardless of what they looked like. 12 is already too many. 8 is enough. Don't ruin the rest of the season or penalize teams for having to play in conference title games. Missouri, Mississippi, Penn State, Ohio State, get an extra week off. Georgia, Oregon, and Liberty are punished for having a good season.
This man thinks Georgia is punished if they go to the playoffs
There should be no automatic bids for conference champions.
All spots in the 12-team playoff should be determined by the committee rankings
There should be automatic qualifiers for conference champions, but they shouldn’t automatically get the top 4 seed. I’ll bet that 2-3 teams in the Big 10 and SEC will be WAY better than the Big 12 or ACC.
@@chef2042youd bet wrong 😂
@@SurferRC the B1G and SEC are the best conferences in football. The Big 12 hasn’t won a Natty since 2005 and Clemson was a 4 year anomaly. The ACC is on the decline anyway
@@SurferRC 9 out of the top 10 teams are in either the Big Ten or the SEC.
I feel like it now going to be harder for GO5 teams to be a top 12 school now simply knowing how the Committee is 😂
Definitely needs added
Were going to need a set of parameters that are voted on to determine who the top 12 teams are so we can avoid possible bis determining the 12 playoff teams.
A computer ranking of sorts. We could also have 4 teams playing for the last 2 spots.
just use the bcs rankings
So you're looking at 16 weeks for several teams. That's fine. Gets them ready for the pro league.
17 weeks for some.
8 teams would suffice with conf losers out, champ games meaningful, and better non conf games as conf champs win in? But $$$?
The committee would still have two picks to put in big names. Would be Georgia and either Oregon or Ohio State
yes and have conference tournaments like college basketball
GA lost by 3 points to a team now currently ranked above them. Knocking them out of the top 4 is ridiculous.
Power 4 championship is a auto bid regardless then it's down to
Used my bracket for the cover. Nice.
Hope it was with permission.
I would give group of 5 at least 2 spots in playoff. Let Cinderella play.
Id agree but only if they were in the top #12.. can’t rob a top 12 power 5 just to give a cinderella another shot.
@@darthsilversith667 there is an absolute bias against non power 5 teams with the exception of Norte Dame. Top 10 of power 5 is enough. Which looks like it could be power 3 soon.
@@darthsilversith667 Maybe, but then you could see ranking manipulation to prevent G5 teams from making it. This has literally happened in the past with seasons such as 2011, 2012 and 2020.
Kent State and NIU were awesome in 2012 from the MAC. Between the two of them, they beat 3 power 5 teams.
The corrupt SEC will have at least 6 teams.
is "corrupt" the new "Champions?" Envy noted.
Let's see if that is possible with 12 teams. First 6 in are conference champions. That will include 1 SEC team. That leaves 6 spots open. SEC would have to get 5 of those slots. That would mean of the 6 remaining SEC would likely need 6 teams in the top 12. I know they had 5 before but 6. Not certain. Definitely something to keep an eye on next season.
Yep. They always wiggle their way in
Play for it? 😂 this guy is like Rodney Dangerfield. 😂
1:28 you only need 6
The Florida state analysis didn’t age well. Especially with DJ as the QB now.
Top 6 highest champions make it in. So one of Oregon State or Washington State will be in the playoffs
So Alabama would be playing Liberty?
no
if liberty beat fsu then they would play MU, they are #1 so they play the lowest seed
Yes how the bracket is formed it is how it is played
Here's the issue, there needs to be a clear cut way to get teams in. This is going to expand as people love the tournament format like the NCAA basketball. I have a feel, hopefully, they will have 64 teams in to have a fist fight to see who wants it the most.
64 teams isnt a logistical possibility.
The playoffs will expand to 24 and then it will stop
12 team college playoff is the cherry on top of the destruction of the game.
How?
More football is destruction of the sport? That makes alot of sense.
Explain?
Alabama is not a good Matchup for Michigan. Before game Alabama will be favored.
SP+ says Michigan should fav by 9.
They're very accurate as a power rating.
The betting public has moved the line because SEC SEC which is understandable but this isn't typical SEC SEC.
I don't want to hear how this Bama team was Saban's worst team in 15 years after Michigan wins but that's what they'll say.
@florida1289 don't thinks so. Especially since bama is gonna kick thir backside and send them yankees back north!
We'll see
I guess not when you cheat!!!
