Thank you so much for your inspiration I actually painted this yesterday. I painted 3 pictures yesterday the first time I've ever painted in my life. Wished I'd started years ago and not waited till I'm 54 to try. I can't wait to start the next painting. Your work is truly amazing 💝
I bet since in the 2 years since u posted this you have painted hundreds of pictures. I still haven't started painting yet, however I am giving clay painting a try.
Absolutely fantastic, love your paintings so much. Amazed at how many coats of paint you had to put on this one, seemed to go on forever ha ha.....thanks again
I did this one tonight and I am just tickled with it. I'm VERY new to painting. I had moments of doubting that I'd be able to halfway pull it off as I was doing all the layers but it came put great. I found you through Angela Anderson and I'm so glad I did. Looking forward to painting more "with" you. Thank you! 🎨
thank you so much for sharing this. I am just getting back to painting after a 20 year sabbatical. i did this painting along with you and I have to say, it turned out pretty well. Thank you very much.
This is nice, but I think that you should have painted the reflections of the two islands with the trees on the water. Good job, though. I like the color scheme. :)
thank you so much for doing this tutorial i have just finished my painting and i am so delighted to see the end result wish i could post here to show you how i have done
shugz zam You are welcome! I am happy to hear that you're please with your art. :) You can post the picture on my Studio Silver Creek facebook page if you'd like! I would love to see it! Here's the link: facebook.com/StudioSilverCreek
May I duplicate this painting? I have never painted on canvas before but certainly ready to try. You made this seem so easy. I can't wait to get in there.
+Puff and Fluff Try mixing equal amounts of red and blue with a tiny bit of white. sometimes I'll add just a little more blue to this mixture to change the hue of purple mixture.
Hello, Thanks for this lovely video. My daughter and I are trying to imitate your painting but we are stuck on the stars. We are using an old toothbrush and white acrylic paint as it looks like you are doing but it's either not falling at all or falling in big blobs. I tried thinning it but no luck. Any advice?
I sometimes use an old scuffy paintbrush. I just hold the paintbrush in one hand and tap the handle with my opposite hand. Practice on a piece of newspaper so you can see if the paint spatters the way you like it. The paint should be thinned out with water (like table cream)...use an acrylic craft paint (like decoArts). I hope that helps! :) Have fun painting!
This is really pretty!!! I am going to try this. But do you really need all of those colors in the beginning? Would it work if I just did black, a bit of blue, purple, and light pink? I don't want it to take to long and I am worried about messing it up
Jessica Diemer Thanks Jessica! Any colours would work. Just remember warm colours blend well with other warm colours and cool colours blend well with other cool colours. Blending a warm colour and a cool colour tends to make a muddy colour. (This is a little tip for whoever else reads the comments too) :)
+entoblast she means warm colors as in happier colors like, orange, yellow, red, pink, etc. and cold colors are like blue, black, purple, green... You get it? It is easier to blend warm colors together and cool colors together because if you tried to blend purple and orange it wouldn't turn out very good and make a brown colour.
+Andj Klaire Yes you can use a white canvas. You can paint it any colour you wish. I like experimenting with different colours. I paint the same picture a few times using different colour combinations.

+The Fine Arts I have one question. Can you make something like this with northern lights?
parabend bom
Inspiring, many thanks. Did you black gesso first or black acrylic, please?
13Moondancer Thank you and you're welcome. :)
It is black acrylic paint. Black gesso would be good too. It could add some cool texture.

+deanna nowak
Of course you can! :)

Awesome! Do you dry the canvas before applying the next color? Or do you paint quickly and blend the colors on the canvas .
Absoluble beautiful!!!

just a question... if I run out of purple, what colors could I mix (on another plate or something) to get a good shade of purple?
+Puff and Fluff
Try mixing equal amounts of red and blue with a tiny bit of white. sometimes I'll add just a little more blue to this mixture to change the hue of purple mixture.
+StudioSilverCreek thank you! I'm actually planning to do this right now, and I just love your art
Awesome! Thanks! :)

What did you use to make the white lines in the reflection and waves at 8:04?
Michelle Li It was a used gift card. Those things are useful for art! :)
It's beautiful.
Jeanine
amazing
Well done...❤
Thank you Sana. :)
Wow God bless you
Man.! this is awsome..!! you made it look very easy too..:-)
Can i do the canvas painting with a soft brush or it would be better to use a brush like you do? Thanks.
sunil tank Different brushes could have different effects. Experiment to see what works best for you. :)
nice 💡
This is so lovely! :)
+Hayley Hayz Thanks!
I wish you made a water reflection of those trees.
This is really pretty!!! I am going to try this. But do you really need all of those colors in the beginning? Would it work if I just did black, a bit of blue, purple, and light pink? I don't want it to take to long and I am worried about messing it up

+entoblast it's colors that are more similar to each other that you use to blend. Like blue and green. Not green and orange.
+StudioSilverCreek yeah I kinda learned that the hard way last week :P
soo preety
what happens if you use white water colour paper instead of black?

I love it! ♡♡ But can I use white canvas on this?
+Andj Klaire Yes you can use a white canvas. You can paint it any colour you wish. I like experimenting with different colours. I paint the same picture a few times using different colour combinations.
+StudioSilverCreek Thanks a lot! btw, I love all of your paintings XD
This very good :D
Thanks.
what type of brush did you use?
How much time did it take ?

It would be very helpful to show the actual colors that are being used. The picture itself is beautiful.
hi can you tell me what color you used?? tnx
could it be same like that if I use white canvas? '-'
+Nada Wihanda Yes.
😍👌🏾
it's nice but if you were painting a moon then it was looking a marvellous painting
What do you use to seal your painting on a canvas?
