It makes sense now.
Here's a little fun fact: Sledge and Bonecrusher share a their transformation with Cybertron Hardtop and Swindle, despite not being retools.
That is fun actually! I've always found it cool when they manage to basically engineer the same figure twice like that.
@@ArcNeoMasato It is the same where people confuse POTP Hun-Garrr to be a retool of CW Siverbolt when he in fact just happen to share the same transformation engineering as him. Or with Energon Starscream sharing the same transformation engineering with G2 Smokescreen. Annoyance, yes, but you deal with it.
@@ArcNeoMasato Also I must ask since I recently got a hold of the four combiner components: does yours have very soft movement when you move the arms and legs when he is combined? Compared to his other two fellow combiners that I have, they make click sounds when I move their limbs but on him it is either soft or very weak clicks.
@@SwedishSeacon Funny enough, I don't have this figure anymore, but instead I have the Devastator repaint, but both versions of this mold had fairly soft clicks. I think it's sort of a luck of the draw thing overall, but it could also be something about the mold. Heck, I have the other two combiners you're talking about, and THOSE have a weak click as well.
I like how the colors go together.
This version of Steamhammer was my first transformers toy. This got me crazy nostalgic. I never got the limb guys, but the idea of him being able to combine with other robots blew my tiny little mind!😂
Epic review Arc Neo Masato!!!!!!!! :D The Combiners from the Energon line are not the best, but I believe they were the first step into leading Hasbro and Takara Tomy into releasing the Combiner Wars line in 2015. :D Keep on being amazing, Double Thumbs Up. ;D
For sure, and personally at least, I get a strange enjoyment out of a slightly janky figure. That and I have to admit some serious nostalgia blindness from growing up and REALLY wanting these guys but not being able to afford them, so I'm very easy to please just by finally owning them. lol

Energon is my childhood. I still have my Shockblast and Six Shot. I love the Constructicon Maximus design. 10/10 review.

Nice were few, bro. I have to say, Steamhammer is my favorite part of the combiner unit, but my second favorite is probably the Bonecrusher mold.
I have the G1 multi-pack.
I wanna snag that version if I run across it. Those classic Constructicon colors are just so good.
I feel like they could have worked in just one little clip on the combiner head that goes into the arm/bucket.

Do u have a review of bruticus maximus ans superion from energon bc yout teview helped me alot for constructicon maximus. I been having to buy parts i have lost to make him again and you helped me alot for him and the pegs and stuff
I don't sadly, but I do want to make videos on both figures when I'm able to. I'm currently working full time again, so it's really hard to find a chance to review..... anything really, let alone these bigger combiner sets, but I'll have one out.... someday. I own both figures already, so it's only a time issue.

I could be wrong, but I wanna say there was one. I know the other 2 Energon Combiners had kits made for them, but I'm not 100% on this guy.

This is a bit of an older figure, so you'll have to look at something like Ebay or the Facebook sales groups. Transformersland.com is also a really good source for older figures.

If I remember right, they did re-release this in different colors and just called that one Devastator. lol
why are they the same vehicles?? i thought it was a G1 Inspiration
I'm honestly more confused why they didn't call this one Devastator Maximus to fit the naming theme of the Energon combiners. They did re-release this figure just.... as Devastator a few years later though, just a member short. lol
i really hate energon combiners the toy mkes the arms and legs transform even they don'ttransform in the show that makes the combiner have no arm articulation
Honestly i prefer the Classics version because they painted them into there G1 Color and G1 Names
I actually ended up giving this version away and getting that one. I think I talked about it on one of my "Repaint Roundup" videos I've done from time to time.
Too bad this ain't what we get in ROTF 🙄
Right? And it's somehow worse when you remember that Hasbro re--released this figure's "Maximus" brothers in the RotF toyline even, if just to rub it in more.
