This Prime design really came into its own when combined with the other gimmick figures made for him, especially Wing Saber. I hope Fans Hobby is going to make a Wing Saber to go along with this one.
That’s something I’m hoping for too. Though I wouldn’t might a Uniform color scheme set for the drones or even an original set of drones.

Honestly, I miss the good old days when Hasbro gave their Transformers figures added features,

Too bad Emgo doesn’t know about Transformers Universe and the Leo Prime(s). I only know about that through Bert the Stormtrooper. But if Emgo got his hands on those, than it would really be a Voltron reference.

I gotta say, there arent enough words do describe my hatred for Energon Optimus Primes toy/cartoon design. Fans Hobby wields black magic and I absolutely love Energy Commander. I don’t know what it is. I think it’s the extra bit of transformation to slim up primes waist, making the legs look less weird. This is an amazing figure.

I'm hoping Fans Hobby makes their own Cybertron Optimus. The other one just looked to skinny in my opinion
@@griffinkimball2454 They kinda went with making the base form less pudgy which then doesn't really help into the backpack form seem more robust.
i was always a fan of Transformers and the power rangers. When i saw Energon Optimus with his super mode, I literally thought it was the coolest thing i've ever seen so seeing this is just really cool.
This is probably closer to voltron.
When I was little, the only image I had of him was on a ball (yea) it was AMAZING to my child brain. Kinda glad I never got the og figure though lmao
@@markcastellanet9672 they are basically the same thing, but since all the components are vehicles it’s closer to power rangers.
@@vast9467 voltron is either all lions or three is vehicle voltron.
Power rangers usually has one component that makes up either both arms or both legs.

@@wonderfulwalrus5715That’ll be most of the line for me once I actually finish Earthrise and Kingdom. Didn’t complete the Siege line as some of those figures I didn’t care for such as the COMBAT drones like Cog (although I did buy Cog and Brunt due to them being partnered with Fortress Maximus and Trypticon which I have from the Titans Return line). I’m also not buying figures like the Kingdom Magnus because of the very slight changes to the mold and I like the Siege mold better anyway. I am also collecting Studio Series 86 figures which fit the aesthetic of the WFC and Legacy lines so some of those figures fill the spots of the WFC figures, such as SS86 Arcee.
Maybe make Energon Optimus into a Leader Class (meaning he’ll start as a Voyager, and when he combines, he’ll be the height of a Leader Class since his Powerlink would be the height of any normal leader figure. That would be really cool to see, actually.
Man, I remember this being called "Fatimus Prime" when it was relevant, but Fans Hobby did a pretty good job giving it a better proportion.

I kinda want this, but I also kinda wanna wait and see if we get a legacy one. I have a lot of nostalgia for Energon Optimus
One thing I've always liked to do when I was a little kid in this first came out, though I don't remember if they ever did this in the show was I liked to imagine that he could spin the helicopter blades on his arm and use it as a sort of Shield much similar to how they did in Fall of Cybertron with Bruticus
And don't forget about rescue bots academy whirl too.
I honestly love the alternate wheel kibble position because it finally makes the proportions perfect! :)

I’m getting those nostalgic vibes of power ranger (super sentai) vehicles/mechs that doubles as a base to hold the zord components
I'm fairly certain that if you spin the shoulders 180° before installing the arms, you can get another joint to move the shoulder higher than the 45° outward movement you get on just the arm.
Finally after all this time! One of the most under appreciated primes getting a modern update!

I never got into energon as much as I did cybertron or armada, but this is sick. Can't wait for what they do for cybertron prime and even better, cybertron Megatron.

I always thought of Energon Optimus Prime's super mode looking like a Power Rangers megazord, but he can combine with his support drones in anyway he wants.
There’s also Transformers Universe’s Leo Prime(s) that could combine with Optimus. I only know about that via Bert the Stormtrooper.

Note for emgo on the shoulder joint, I think there is a way to get more articulation if the shoulders and arms are facing upwards and still might slot in correctly and it should give you a hinge upwards, please correct me if I’m wrong.

Now that I look back, I wish they made Submarine 4 more accurate and gave it the claw instead of the generic fist ;-;
The only thing disappointing about the figure is the submarine. They should've kept the claw for arm mode so you'd have 2 normal hands, and 2 tool hands.

Damn, even third party can't do that Prime design justice lol. Its faithful and a good figure don't get me wrong, but there's no saving that design. The combined form, however, is pretty damn good.

No idea if it would appeal to you or not, but I think it would be funny for a similar reaction to Cybertron Optimus, but that time MP-44 comes later to ask Megatron who his new 'friend' is. Or maybe he meets MP-44 as he walks off.
I still wish they'd do this figure in alt colours so I can collet him as a not-optimus allong side the prime man. I also wish there were more mini vehicles; a little jet5 tank6, boat7, rocket8 etc
i never really ended up getting the original energon prime but if i ever got it i wanted to get 2 of them so that i could get more limb options and i feel i would probably have the same thoughts if i ever got this one

Looks like Energon Optimus Prime (aka Fatimus Prime) has finally lost that belly of his.
Hey emgo, not sure if this info is useful but on the original the orange truck can tuck it's front behind the hand. The hand has a really stiff wrist bend. No idea how many people know about it with how stuff it can be
ha ,not just an improvement over the original toy, but it even looks better then the animation model, alt tire mode he has wings , will it combine with the omega supreme
I like this version a lot better than the original. I never liked the design of Energon Optimus Prime in robot mode because his legs are so thin and his body is so wide and massive. This version, along with the combiner drones, makes it look a whole lot better. I just wish his face didn't look so derpy.
They did their best but he is still inevitably chunky. Its mostly an issue of being too wide whereas the original had issues in all dimensions.
