We feel so bad for everyone that had to go through this…we love visiting Newfoundland for the beauty of the land and the amazing people that live there…stay strong!!
This was so heart wrenching to watch. My heart goes out to all those people who not only lost their homes but possibly their way of life as well. The howling wind brought me back to when I was eight years old living in Moncton, New Brunswick. We only got the tail end of that hurricane but I remember the sound of the wind and the walls shaking. You are a brave man to go out in that. My husband and I enjoy the stories and history you share with everyone on your you tube channel. Thank you for all your many hours of work for each episode. I look forward to the next adventure. Monique from Ottawa, Ontario.
So very happy you and your family are ok. It must have been a moving experience to see this first hand. Thanks for making this video. I liked it and shared it on twitter. You went above and beyond.
Thanks for sharing your great coverage of the storm and its aftermath. What you have filmed is more personal than any News coverage could hope to achieve. Is there any Gov assistance planned?
Wow, I am outside of Halifax, we lost some branches and power for a few day, that was nothing in comparison! Glad to see you are safe, and hope there wasn't too many injuries. I have been through Port aux Basques many times, there are no words... Steve
Wow Bobby...so sorry all of yous had to go through all that devastation..it's heartbreaking for us to see..hand tough buddy...you will be able to put this all behind you👍
This video is highly under-watched for the great content you have! Sorry to everyone in NFLD who lost precious keepsakes and memories with the destruction of hurricane fiona!
Wow, great job weathering the storm real time. I saw some destruction on other channels but nothing like your coverage. I hope no one died. Looks like the same damage as west coast of FL. I hope people did not ride out the storm while the house is getting ripped apart. Where there any deaths. Horrible destruction. I visited NF back in 1978 on a family fishing trip. Loved the country and the people. Like to see the people pulling together after a disaster like that one. Stay safe and will watch your other videos soon.
Hey bob.. So much destruction😔 I think our crew is heading that way after the weekend.. Some great footage there bud. Lotsa historic structures gone.. So sad
Always a good time when the newfoundland outsiders loads a video… stay safe guys .. I live on the east coast , stjohns didn’t get nothing like this wow…
I moved away 22 years ago.... I've seen pictures of my home town PAB. But I never saw much for video. Thank you for taking this video. I could just imagine you fellas is still cleaning up. How many houses did you lose in Burnt Islands?
@@thenewfoundlandoutsider6354 do you know Bub Pope? He's moved from Burnt Islands now. He's my cousin. I'm Lloyd Osmond Jr. dad had the Tugboat there in PAB.
Very happy that you and family are unharmed. That was a powerful storm. I hope people move their homes further away from the sea. These storms will get worse as the oceans warm.
I gave it a thumbs up but it’s not because I actually enjoyed it . I mostly watched in disbelief an empathy for those involved Glad to see you are ok We where so lucky not to get anything more then normal wind an seas here on North East Coast of the island
This is great footage of the storm. Terrible storm…Hope it’s not a new weather pattern for years to come. Plenty of work to do there. What’s it looking like now?
So sorry for everyone who lost their homes and boats. I hope they're all doing ok now. On the one hand I would've liked to see the waves from the comfort of my SUV, on the other hand my RV probably would've been in one of those rubble plies if I'd tried!

Was Rose Blanche (not the harbour area but just beside it) hit hard? I don’t understand why we barely saw any footage on the news except a repeat of the same clip. This should have been show! If anyone can deal with this it would be the strongest and that is you. Bless you all. I hope cleanup is almost done?
@@thenewfoundlandoutsider6354 the news has always been bs, yes. That’s why I came on here by accident found your video. Did Trudeau send money for clean up or food water at least? We got hit in summer with 150 kph winds for maybe 1/2 hour with some damage to homes but mostly trees and 2 day power outage. I can’t imagine what y’all went through. Just adding to the bs that’s happening. It’s hard when you want to help your fellow Canadians but all you can do is pray and hope.
