@@mikkosnellman When I was thirteen years old and got our local Fishery school, our skipper told us - ordered us - to start carrying a knife on our person...for the rest of our life - " as it will save our life more then one can imagine "... . He also made us sharpen our knives every time we entered the ' knitting room ' ( where we learned all the hands-on seamanship: knots & stiches, making nets ' knitting ' and repairing them ), but we could only sharpen them on sandpaper for wood. Only then were we allowed to start our work. Still carry a knife on my person, in fact, I carry three on me on average. Imagine carrying one - three knives into a classroom these days... ha !!!
