Dec 18, 2023 - Billie's 22nd Birthday today! I'm a 70 year old (well, in 9 days) who had to look up the song on GENIUS lyrics and (of all places) Wikipedia to get the lowdown years ago. Released on April 19, 2018 when Billie was 16 and Khalid had just turned 20. A track for the series "13 Reasons Why" [which I know nothing about] is about DEPRESSION - they are singing about being depressed and the "Isn't is Lovely" is sarcasm - something like "isn't this great, being stuck in this hole (cube) together! How lovely" - FINNEAS [Billie's brother], Khalid, and Billie wrote the song. If one considers the music she wrote at 14 -17, it's pretty special. P.S. she was on SNL Saturday (12/16/23) and those songs are on you tube - either the SNL channel or the Billie Eilish channel if your interested - a wonderful redoing of "What Was I Made For?" and Billie sings a jazzy, smooth cover of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" - On the 2nd one Christian McBride, Grammy winning String Bassist adds class to her song.
