  • The last two decades have seen revolutionary transformations in productivity, communications, and industry, generally thanks to the massive applications of technology. There is little in the world that technology doesn’t touch, little that each of us does on a daily basis that isn’t somehow influenced or enhanced by technology. What’s next? An era in which biology informs health, clean energy, agriculture, and industry, and in which cutting-edge nano, chemical, and biological technologies further serve the public good.
This conversation was part of the 2022 Aspen Ideas Festival.
    Speakers:
Eric Schmidt, Co-Founder, Schmidt Futures; Founder, Special Competitive Studies Project; Executive Chairman, Steel Perlott; Former CEO and Executive Chairman, Google
Gillian Tett, Editorial Board Chair and US Editor at Large, Financial Times
Walter Isaacson, Professor of History, Tulane University; Author, The Code Breaker; Distinguished Fellow, Aspen Institute
Now in its 18th year, the Aspen Ideas Festival is the Aspen Institute’s signature summer public event. Among the key themes explored at this year’s festival are conversations around the concepts of Heat, Power, Connection, Trust, Money, and Beauty.
From June 25-July 1, 2022 more than 300 leaders and innovators gather in the Rocky Mountains to engage in deep and inquisitive discussion of the issues that shape our lives and challenge our times, spanning politics, business, science, the arts, education, and more. #AspenIdeas
